Hi guys,
im trying to compare the min. battery drain of different Rom/Radio combos.
My min. battery drain in "deep standby" is 36mA with 1.82.405.1 / 26.04.02.17 and anything off (Wlan=off; UMTS/HSDPA=off). No drain apps running in background…i guess…
Which values do you have?
To measure im using "correntwidget" with log or "battery monitor widget". Both from market.

I've been using an app called "OS MONITOR" https://market.android.com/details?id=com.eolwral.osmonitor&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5lb2x3cmFsLm9zbW9uaXRvciJd since I got my GN and I'm now on a mission to improve the battery life by seeing what programs I can disable/live without for the sake of battery life.
I've got the app running in the task bar and monitoring CPU usage with a refresh rate of 2 seconds.
Now from what I've noticed in battery settings, it doesnt seem to keep the phone awake and i still get 2+hours of screen time with fairly heavy usage.
Anyone familiar with the app and its power consumption?
The battery life on my play drains quickly after the battery gauge goes under 50%. Is there anyway to fix this?
Also, how do keep no frills classic from force closing every time try to change CPU settings?
Hi. I'm having a problem with my G Pro Stock Kitkat. After using a battery calibration tool, I suddenly experienced battery drops on my phone. From 100%, i checked the battery settings or status, and it says that I only have 3-5 hours to use my phone. I think it may be incorrect. After some minutes, I see my battery percentage continuously dropping like crazy. Could someone help me fix this? Thanks in advance.

We're going to need additional details in order to diagnose and possibly troubleshoot the battery drain. First and foremost we need to know which particular apps you often use on your phone. From there we'll need to see which apps consume battery while the screen is on and youy're on your phone, and which ones continue to drain while screen is off. I recommend you download battery monitor apps such as GSAM battery monitor (include also the root companion), as well as either wakelock detector or better battery stats. With those apps we'll be able to sense as well whether system processes contribute to the drain.
Drain your battery, have this apps installed then full charge your bat. Once full charged begin monitoring then send screenshots once battery is about to run out.
And also, battery is automatically calibrated by android so battery calibration apps are quite redundant.
I have hit a wall and can't figure this out for the life of me. With gsam.. whenever my battery drops a percentage the usage spikes from 3.3% to 30-60%. ??
I've installed numerous roms and even tested this on stock and still the problem remains (with no apps installed and no google apps).
Anybody have any idea of what could be causing this? I am currently on MM and the most current firmware available for my phone.
I am losing sleep over this haha
OK, here's an example to show you what the percentage in GSam means: If your battery went down from 100 to 90% (-> 10% decrease) and you see an usage of 30% for the display in GSam, then the display has used 3% (30% of 10%) of your battery power.
Is the same true when my usage drops by 1% when my hourly percent is idle at 3.x%/hour and then spikes to 25-90%/h? It gets nice and settled at 3-4%/h then when it drops a digit on usage it spikes up to 25-90%/h and crawls back down to 3-4%/h until the next usage % drops? ... I have wakelock detector which shows nothing happening, tried bbs and same happens but I cannot find what causes my %/h to spike like this.
Sorry, this is really frustrating to me.
Let me put in the details.
I just came from MIUI 9.5.1x.y(forget the exact version) China version and now on LOS 15.1 official.
My old experience with that MIUI is optimal for standby battery life, especially during midnight with flight mode on. 8~9 hour just had the battery down by 1 ~2 percent at max. For MIUI, I use the built-in battery saving mode and disallowed most apps' background activities.
In LOS, I root and utilize greenify for similar task, and also enable the built-in battery saver. Yet, it gives me quite different result. About 7~8% usage overnight. That's far from optimal.
So my question are:
Do you have similar experiences?
If the answer is yes, how do you find the causes of the unnecessary battery drain? And how to solve it?
Any clues and helps are welcome.
Use an app to find out what is causing wakelocks during the night?
BetterBatteryStats for example.
You should Monitor Your Battery with Gsam and Betterbatterystatus Application also Monitor Cpu Deep Sleep
got to battery stat in system setting , check what apps running in background and disable(if available) what apps that can running in background.
