[Q] *#272*HHHH# - Bada Software and Hacking General

Hi,
I used this function *#272*HHHH# to reinitialize my samsung wave but after that i lost all my messages and contacts, is there any change i can get them back?
thx

what you have done is similar to hard reset. no way of getting anything back. all data is lost unless you have made backup........

unfortunately i didn't make any backup.
i wished there were some softwares like on windows ....

You should have read that doing this reset erases all the data on your phone, haven't you?

[Q] Lost Messages

Hi, I have a Blue Angel with WM6 in it. I think that WM6 storage is Volatile, right?? But why I keep lost my messages when I soft reset the device?? This only happen to my messages, but not to others, like contacts, appointments, tasks, etc. How I solved this?? Must I re-flash my BA?? Please help, I've lost a lot of messages cause of it...
Simply
If U wan't delete all make Hard Reset
If U wan't backup it use SPB Bacup or other backup software.

No, actually I don't want to lose my messages. I just want to ask, how to keep my messages (not lose it, not delete it) when I do a soft reset, because I've read, that in WM6, messages will not be lost when we do a soft reset....
Use SPB Backup

Few questions regarding firmware upgrade

Okay so I managed to update my phone to MM without loosing any data (phone unlock, Whatsapp everything is present as it was).
So now the only question remains that, if I do a backup of everything in Smart Switch and then do a factory reset of my Note 4 then restore the backup, will I have everything as it is present? All my Whatsapp chats and everything working after factory reset?
Waiting for a good sincere reply.
Regards,
Zeekay.
Anyone?
From what I've personally experienced with Smart Switch it doesn't backup the app data for most apps only the app itself, with some exceptions for samsung apps like S Memo.
As Whatsapp isn't a seperate item on the backup list, I would have to say that it won't backup its data.

Factory reset wiped my SIM?

I didn't even know this was possible? I'v'e done resets in the past and this never happened to me..When I want to import from SIM it can't find any contacts.
Is there any way I can recover lost contacts (after factory reset), I'm willing to root my device if necessary?
I made a backup to my Google account, but when I want to import from there it only imports email adresses?
Cheers

restore the Google Drive backup of calls, sms, only after a factory reset?

Just as the subject above asks... Google's way of backup restore has been quite awful ever since I can remember. Unless I'm missing something?!
The only time I've seen the restore ability for calls and SMS are when you are booting android for the first time after a factory reset... Is there another way to access this google drive info?

How to do a full backup of my P2 before factory reset

Hey people,
since my battery life is not as good as it could be i thought about trying a factory reset.. im on custom rom and i dont really trust the google backup function to restore all my data after the reset..
Is there a way to get a full backup of my phone with all its data without root? I really can't afford to loose my calendar data etc.
If you guys say the google backup will do its job perfectly I'll give it a try though :fingers-crossed:
Titanium Backup!
Give it try
Without root? The app is telling me its not possible without..
Titanium wont work without root you could try superbackup.
Google's own backup is pretty good. I think Lenovo has its own backup service as well. Your calender should sync with the cloud, but to check you could always try the web app, log in with your details and see if your events are there. Not too sure about messages. Settings / Backup and reset.
