Does anyone if you can replace the screen and how or where? Everything works I just cracked the screen

It's a pretty easy fix and you can buy replacement digitizers on eBay.
Link? Cause I really do not know what to look for

Yes you can, its not that hard with the proper tools, steady hands, and a nice clean place to work.

Good luck and godspeed.
I took my Evo into Sprint because I had some obnoxious dust underneath the screen and they replaced my LCD for the price of 0.
You think they'd do the same cracked?

I'm not sure of their exact policy, but I know that it changed sometime a couple months ago. They used to be very good with replacing cracked screens, and it'd either be free, or just for a minimal 35 bucks. Now I believe that if the crack is bigger than an inch, they won't fix it, and will tell you to send it to Asurion if you have it. I would just call your local Sprint store and ask them what their policies are on having a cracked screen. Or just go down there and see what happens.
I have a replacement LCD and digitizer for sale, all one piece so you don't mess up with just the digitizer which is not that easy
Thas Allota love right there

He said using a t4 driver... I used a t5 when I replaced my speaker.
i know some sprint stores dont even bother fixing screens anymore. they wouldn't fix mine. it was still under warranty so i sent it back to HTC and they had it back to me within 5 days FREE of charge had to unroot my phone and put the stock sprint ruu back on though
if it weren't under warranty, i would definitely do it myself. its easy. just a little know how and the right tools. its surprising how easy these htc phones come apart.
Anyways... Good luck!

Edited because I was steaming drunk and it didn't make sense.
So I went out and had a few to many drinks last night. Walking back I stumbled into a wall while texting which resulted in me dropping my phone on the floor and chipping and scratching the phone casing down to what appears to be silver.
Fortunately the phone is ok, but as I'm a bit of a perfectionist I won't be able to rest until It's fixed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Only camera I have is my phone. The screen is fine, would've got chipped if I didn't have a screen protector on.
It's literally just the edges of the phone and most of the purple faceplate.

My guess is well over £100 from HTC.
The only risky thing that I can see in doing it yourself is removing the digitiser.
They could have made the build so as everything is not housed/mounted on to the inside of front fascia though.
So I stupidly cracked my screen during the weekend, is there any way to fix it or get vzw to replace it under normal warranty?

I watched one as well. Does look a little involved to say the least. I'd give it a try though, but I've always liked taking stuff apart and putting it back together. Biggest thing that looks like a pain, would be heating the glass to remove it
I have a heat gun, and I know how hot it gets, I can imagine that peeling the glass off may not be real fun. Gloves come to mind
Taking all that stuff apart though is my worry. I'm software savy not hardware and I just know il break something. A cracked phone is better than no phone

Are you under warranty, or did you buy insurance?
I font remember if not what happens
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda app-developers app
If not then you can buy a replacement screen for it and change it yourself. There are some video tutorials that will walk you through step by step. That will probably be cheaper than a new replacement phone.

Yeah your best bet is just to replace the screen. It is not a difficult procedure. I know of a few guys on here who have done it. I have not done the Inc 2 but many others.
Sent from my vivow using xda premium
From my past experience, if you tell Verizon you dropped the phone and it broke, they aren't going to replace it, even if it's under warranty. If it's insured (though Asurion or a similar company), you'll have to pay your deductible and they will send you a replacement phone. Generally, the replacement will be a refurbished version of the same model phone.
If you aren't comfortable disassembling your phone and you have insurance, you're probably best off paying the deductible and getting a new phone. If you have the tools and knowledge to replace the screen yourself, that'll be the cheapest and easiest way to fix it. As for unrooting the phone if you do decide to send it in, it's probably not a bad idea if you can reasonably do so.

I was in a similar situation about a month ago. Except it wasn't my screen, the Micro USB port broke. I also had root. I just drained the battery so they wouldn't find out.

Just an FYI, one of the first things they test is the battery. They swap in a fully charged battery and see what happens.

Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
Is the digitizer okay? Responds to touch and isn't damaged? If so, then all you'll need is the glass and a lot of patience.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
If all you need is the screen, they run about $15 on eBay. I would suggest watching a few youtube videos of the replacement unless you've previously done so.
And that ladies and gentlemen is why cases are available for purchase. Seriously though, you need some sort of protection for an expensive device like the S3 or the S4. Protect your investment and get a case next time to prevent damage from falls.
See tutorial here.

I tried to replace the screen and I broke the digitizer. I got the replaced through insurance but is there any way to retrieve the data from the old phone with the digitizer being broken??? The phone cuts on and when I plug it into the computer it recognizes it as a camera and shows no files. I tried kies but it says I need to unlock the phone which I cant. Any help is appreciated.
I retrieved my data on my old phone by takomg both phones apart trading out the motherboards amd copying tbe old files to my computer. Them I swapped the motherboards back. The whole process took about 30 min.

I doubt it because lg screens are a bit complicated and ppl are scared to attempt it. However there are how tos on YouTube you can follow. I would go with the link I gave since the two pieces are attached. With the separate piece you might have to loca the glass to the LCD so u don't get an air bubble in the middle or dust in the screen after time. My first time fixing my Note I didn't use no loca since none of the vids instructed to do so. Worst experience ever, thank god I was able to take it apart and redo it.

DO NOT touch the battery if it gets poked or bent out of shape a little it will go bad very quickly. Obviously unplug it from the board but thats it, and its only 2 connections to get the screen off the main board. Everything is pretty easy once you get inside. I watched a video and that was a huge help.

Get both. All things being equal, your best bet is to replace both. Since screen and digitizer are so close together on this phone a break like you got probably means both are damaged anyway.
