Here is my contribution to this great forum,
Regarding this particular bootanimation
This GIF was custom made for me from a friend a while back it was inspired by the spinning logo on the jumbotron of the Bell Center, and thought it would be cool to have it as a desktop background. A couple of weeks ago I stumbled on it by mistake and decided to try to use it as my boot screen (it looks very sweet too).
Details regarding it, there's a total of 100 frames of 480x400 resolution
A few things I would like to note that could probably help a lot of ppl or maybe it's just me
I went thought a lot of trial and error to try and understand why I was getting a black screen everytime until it finally worked.
First some tool that can help you guys.
Both tools are available as a standalone zips without the need to installing them.
This tool will allow you to rename one or more files, it's extremely powerful, although takes some getting used to at first
Bulk Rename Utility
This will allow you to extract an animated GIF into PNG files or other formats
GIF Frame Extractor
Now one thing to note that took a long time to figure out was that you gotta follow the naming convention of the original bootanimation.zip of your rom, since I checked out a lot of animation and saw they each had diff names in the folders part0/1 figured as long as there's a sequential numbering for the files that the animation will kick in.... unfortunately NO, save yourself a lot of headaches, extract the bootanimation.zip from your phone look at the naming convention and rename your files to match using the tool above.
Hope you guys will enjoy

Hello all, I am posting the boot animation I made of this habs spinning logo.
This .zip is flashable from cwm, just toss it on your ext_sd, and flash via cwm
I am using this on my Samsung I727R

As some of you have already asked for replacements for the Windows Mobile splash screens, I decided to make a couple.
To install these:
Download the NBH file by clicking the link below the image.
Copy the NBH to SD card, Rename to KAISimg.nbh, Flash by powering on while holding down camera button, same as flashing to nand.
These splash screens will not alter your nand flashed Android in any way, they simply replace the old splash screen.

I used this tutorial to put together these splashes: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334907
Please add your own splashes here, then we can keep em in one place

I actually made the K S and E myself using gimp. Searched high and low for the actual font but its not released. I thought about changing the S and E to fit the rest of the font better but haven't got around to it.
Did wonder about that, been searching all over the place for that font, lol, but since it's not supposed to be used on anything other than official google andoid logos, I'll just have to use what I have

Nice work - going to give this a bash when I get home tonight.
Dude, these look really nice. I'm downloading some now and will try them out.
I've tried to make up some bootanimations before, but they never turn out. (actually they were totally F.U.B.A.R. ...but at least I tried...repeatedly...repeatedly... ... ... ... ...
I was wondering if you might share with me how you made these?
(My sanity and) I would be forever grateful.
Peace.

Then, just now, I saw the PM you sent me.

thanks!
link fixed, sorry just a typo error.
I use Animation Shop to convert them to gif and GIFFrame to extract the individual frames
eternal-inten,
downloading your file, I will have a look in a bit, whats wrong with it?
edit : I extracted the files, all look fine. repacked your zip file with compression method "STORE" and it all works fine, plays a little slow but works just play with the value in desc.txt to get the speed you want
@ deconfrost
Thank you for checking the file.
However, I thought I did pack it as "STORE". ???
Using 7zip, in "Add to archive" I chose ZIP then STORE.
What app do you use to create the zip file?
And one last question ...
Do you have any tips on image/frame selection and/or tweaking the desc.text to help it play smoothly?
Thanks again for all the help.
Peace.
I've found this Boot animation Here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/pocket-pc-themes/98906-leo-hd2-startup-animation-splash-screen.html
and resize and rename it for our HDmini.
file name for boot animation: htc_animation_320x480.gif
just replace in windows directory with Resco File Explorer or Total Commander.
in case you want to get back to your original Boot animation DONT Foget to make a backup of the original file.
I'm using it with nsourm ROMs and it works fine.
I don't know how to make an animated screen shot!
so I can tell it's the Custom White in the original treat.
Hope you like it!
hey, thanks. Should i rename file before copying it to windows?

Just extract the RAR file... the file inside is normally named correctly.
but you can check in windows directory if it will replace a file or not! if it replaces, there isn't any problem! if not find in windows directory the file for boot animation, normally a GIF file! and replace it.
Good luck

I am using Total Commander. The file isn't hidden. I copied the above file into the windows file and it didn't ask me to replace anything
Then seach for all *.gif's in windows folder and see which one is the right one.

Simple and Clean Technical Bootanimation
I was getting sick and tired of the default "S", so I created a new bootanimation with a clean and simple concept while still stylish and technical. I call it "TechBoot" and I wanted to share it with the community.
Information about the animation:
I used several different programs to create the animation. For graphics and mock-ups the program used was Adobe Photoshop. For motion and effects I used Adobe After Effects. These programs made it easy to compose a High Quality animation. The bootanimations are in a zip archive format and are compatible with any kernel that supports "bootanimation.zip".
*Feedback is much appreciated and suggestions to future releases will be met by gratitude.
Changelog:
Version 1.0 | [14.05.2011]
Initial Release
Two variations
Three resolutions for the first variation
Only "bootanimation.zip" supplied

Method 1: (Recommended)
Download any "bootanimation.zip"
Move zip to sdcard
Enter any rooted file manager (ex. Root Explorer)
Navigate either to "/system/media", "/data/local" or kernel specific bootanimation location
Backup any previous "bootanimation.zip"
Navigate to downloaded "bootanimation.zip"
Copy to either "/system/media", "/data/local" or kernel specific bootanimation location (might need to be remounted RW)

They ate just PNG images. Either convert video into frames or create your own animation. After effects is good.
