This is my screen when I've erased my Operator Logo!!!

If you want to erase your operator logo, you can do from the following steps :
1. Make Transparent File .Gif size 120*20 pixels and rename it to carrierlogo.gif
Or Download Here (Use Save Target as.. )

2. Connected your Pocket PC and goto Folder /windows
3. Copy file and paste it in Folder /windows
4. Soft Reset
And When you have Incoming Call​
Before - After​
If you want it back :
1. Connected your Pocket PC and goto Folder /windows
2. Delete file name carrierlogo.gif
3. Soft Reset
OK. If you don't have time to create it, I've already made it in cab file.
How to use:
Unzip, Copy cab file to your Storage Card and click it to install.
How to remove:
Just uninstalled it from settings and Soft Reset.

Not only erase, But You can also change your Operator Logo to Cute Logo!!!
By creating “picture” File .Gif size 120*20 pixels and rename it to carrierlogo.gif

Interesting - what I'd like to know is the effect this will have on roaming.
And how you put the transparencies into the images (since I don't have Photoshop or Fireworks).
Edit: just a warning, 'shoppers. The phonepad seems to like displaying the colour White as "transparent", tho why it does so I have no idea. I guess that solves my problem, tho.

Is this workable on the Hermes / Dopod 838Pro too? I have this phone but I can't find the carrierlogo.gif file in the specified folder.

You don't need the carrierlogo.gif to be present at the beginning. Just place your carrierlogo.gif in /Windows/, soft reboot, and it should magically work.
I hear O2 actually hardcodes carrier detection so performing this trick results in a blank carrier, but that doesn't seem to be the case on my Atom - the only problem I ran into was white being interpreted as transparent.

I have a universal and used the 120 x 20 format but the result wasn't that great, so I changed the size to 240 x 40 and all works fine now

I think this hack was advertised in the forums once - tho my first experimentations with it wasn't too much of a success. I managed to create my own 120X20 image file, and threw it in, only to find that the bloody thing truncates my logo at 120X19 (so it's missing its bottom). The price of using an unofficial dialer, I guess.
I'm a gonna try 240X40 when I get back. I didn't know it was *that big*.

Use WinCE CAB Manager (free trial 30 days) and edit one of mines
Just replace the welcomehead.192.png file and the CAB name

I have fixed them now. I orginaly uploaded 800x800 images but xda-dev rescaled them to 558x558. didn't realise untill I read ur post. Now i have uploaded the pics to a different server so it should be all good now.

i made a windows 7 fake bootscreen
that black square should never be visible on the device
i never tried it because i cant replace the welcomehead.192. can anyone help me? i dont have a cooked rom on my x1. a question: if i delete the welcomehead and replace it... and then hard reset will the new one still be there? that would suck! since now i never played around on the rom files and i dont want to loose my guarantee.

hey looks good, but only 600x600 ??
regarding your Q, yes: a hard-reset pulls everything out from the read only memory (ROM) and replaces all current contents, sort of a clean Windows install on your PC, which will "format c:\" and then reinstall the Operating system (OS)
But don't be shy, Give it a try:
Flash Hard-SPL and then flash my SEX1 W4X.23 ROM
I bet you will not be dissappointed, and you can ALWAYS go back to stock, nobody will notice you ever messed with the ROM

Guys...I made some custom start-up animation (SEMC1904.gif) for Xperia X1...find the filename of the xperia start up animation and just rename this file and drop on windows folder...

Nice! Tell us more, what are the restrictions (max filesize, max frames etc.). Only for WM6.5 I presume?

animation is 10fps (on photoshop)...file size is 80~145kb...image size is 480X800...haven't tried it yet on 6.1...

Strange, the SEMC1904.bmp shows me the sony ericsson logo, that you see when you start up your phone.

Maybe I found the solution:
-if you have standard SE animation, the file is SEMC1904.gif
-if you have HTC animation (like in the rom I use), the file is animated.gif
Check which one you have and give the good name to the replacement file
If you have none, use advanced config tool to know the name of the animation file used in your rom and give the same name to the replacement file

if you are on 6.1 please try to search the default animation of xperia...then just use the filename of it into the one that you download here and drop on windows folder
please confirm the filename of the default xperia start-up animation for 6.1 and kindly post here...so that i can add instructions on the first post...try to find the .gif file in your windows folder...

Here is my contribution to this great forum,
Regarding this particular bootanimation
This GIF was custom made for me from a friend a while back it was inspired by the spinning logo on the jumbotron of the Bell Center, and thought it would be cool to have it as a desktop background. A couple of weeks ago I stumbled on it by mistake and decided to try to use it as my boot screen (it looks very sweet too).
Details regarding it, there's a total of 100 frames of 480x400 resolution
A few things I would like to note that could probably help a lot of ppl or maybe it's just me
I went thought a lot of trial and error to try and understand why I was getting a black screen everytime until it finally worked.
First some tool that can help you guys.
Both tools are available as a standalone zips without the need to installing them.
This tool will allow you to rename one or more files, it's extremely powerful, although takes some getting used to at first
Bulk Rename Utility
This will allow you to extract an animated GIF into PNG files or other formats
GIF Frame Extractor
Now one thing to note that took a long time to figure out was that you gotta follow the naming convention of the original bootanimation.zip of your rom, since I checked out a lot of animation and saw they each had diff names in the folders part0/1 figured as long as there's a sequential numbering for the files that the animation will kick in.... unfortunately NO, save yourself a lot of headaches, extract the bootanimation.zip from your phone look at the naming convention and rename your files to match using the tool above.

i want to ask about boot animation , i know how to make the zip file which contain part0 file and part1 file and desc.txt , i want to know how to create the images which was in both files (1&0) , is there is soft ware to do that or its video converted to images then added to part0 and part1 files ( i mean the series of images and the animation on it how we wil do it ) please help me and tell me the secret , i searched on net the olny i found how to do the zip file which i know it , no body explane how to fabricates the images it self,

use an application like Root explorer to simply paste the bootanimation.zip in your /system/media folder
AND to change your boot screen (the picture before your boot anim)
use SGS2 BootScreen Changer by Hellcat
to make the picture below your boot screen
(you might have to crop it using the same tool above)

yeah, but its the closes thing to it, i will make updates, can someone post me how the
original boot animation for the SGS3 looks like, i looked all over youtube, and i got nothing, so this is the best i could do while blind, hopefully samsung will open my eyes

thx everyone, today i just typed on google "sgs3 bootanimation for s2" and then
found my post on a bunch of blogs and other forums, wow just in 2 days

MY SGS3 ROM IS OUT EVERYONE, SalmanRom
