Please take some time and search this forum. These kind of questions have been answered numerous times...

setting——application——development——USB debugging

He can't disable usb debugging..... He can't even booot! its a bootloop. Besides disabling usb debugging trick is only for booting into clockwork mod recovery. The earlier poster is right! SEARCH THE FORUMS. You are attempting to flash custom roms and such without even knowing what an sbf is????? Sounds crazy to me!
Flash a proper sbf and it WILL work

you prolly restored a backup and did not flashed the right .sbf.
Or didnt flashed at all.
Try to read the steps again.
2.) Flash 3.4.3-11 Motorola SBF with RSD Lite in bootloader mode

SBF ?? i don't know what this !
i already have backup from clockworkmod
how i can boot to clockworkmod ??

No wonder why u're stuck on motorola logo.
Let me break it down for you.
Make sure you have motodrivers installed or install them here.
And install the RSD Lite too Here
Turn off your phone, hit the power+volume up together.
Wait till u're in the bootloader.
Open the RSD Lite, u phone should be detected so u click on "..." select the .sbf u downloaded from here
And flash it.
Wait till is over, and your phone should be good again.

so detailed

who in their right mind attempts to flash anything without first familiarizing themselves with the processes involved, understand the risks and how to recover from them etc. etc. If you don't know what a sbf file is maybe you should do some reading before flashing.... You can't boot into clockwork unless you have a working system... It's a bootstrap recovery that must be launched from the recovery app! You should know this by now if you are flashing roms

He should also WIPE first. The one time I didn't wipe before flashing sbf.....FC's like CRAZY!!

[Q] [motorola Defy] STUCK on M Logo [HELP!]

Ok so here is what happened:
I'm a very beginner to Android. And my Defy is rooted.
Then I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=977989&page=1
I thought it would be cool to have a gray statusbar.. So I went to recovery, and applied the "Barebones_13-signed.zip" renamed update.zip
It said installation successful (i think) then I rebooted my phone.
Now it's STUCK on the M logo!!!
I really don't know what to do :'(
Tried everything;
Remove battery and reboot.
Plugged phone and reboot.
Went to bootloader (I even don't know what's that )
PLEASE HELP ME :'(
ok try going to stock recovery and wipe the date and cache it will help in a normal boot loop or else

Going into Bootloader is enough
U should download the sbf below that article, then use RSD Lite to flash the sbf file into ur phone when ur phone is under bootloader mode
Did this and it worked
THANK YOU!!
Installed stock 2.2 but my phone becomes more laggy... maybe becuz I couldn't wipe data..

try installing the custom rom again, and go into stock recovery. when you see the little triangle press vol + and vol - at the same time. youll get a menu(navigate with the volume keys). go to wipe data and press the screen lock key(the one at the top) reboot, then youre sorted.

Defy not working :(

Hello everyone,
first of all,I want to thank all those involved in this forums.
I'm here trying to have a solution for my defy..I bought it 1 week ago and I used it only the first day!!
My friend told me that I can upgrade android to 2.3,and I can get more apps with 2.3,so he tried to upgrade it but it didn't work.
once I turn on the device,Motorola Logo appear, then Galnet MIUI appear, and it loops unlimited times,it load for 4 seconds then loop again..
after..I told the person who made the video "how to upgrade to 2.3" about my problem..he recommended me to flash by RSD Lite and 3.4.3_11-Stock.UKTmobile_BLUR.sbf ,and then I did everything as he told me but it didn't work..this time I get White Motorola logo with Blur word and it loops unlimited time.
then I flashed again but this time I replaced the sbf file with "JRDNEM_U3_3.4.3-36-1.1.sbf",also it didn't work..this time I get Red Motorola Logo then ANDROID word.it seems to be loop.
I don't know whats wrong, can someone tell me how exactly to flash ?
Because when the program says Please Manually Power up this Phone..idk what to do,it's already on!!so I remove the battery then I power up.
help me please I was happy with 2.2,can I get my defy back to 2.2 just like when I bought it??
my english bad sorry
thanks a lot,
Boot into stock recovery and wipe data / cache. Then flash again any 2.2.2 sbf file. To update into stock gingerbread, your phone must have custom recovery to perform the nandroid restore follow with flashing fixed sbf.

Thanks a lot for replying,
Please excuse me iam really noob
I used to boot into stock recovery by Pressing [Volume Down] when i see Blue Led Light, but it doesn't work any more, help plz.
UP T_T,Please help.
The blue led light is the 2nd-init sequence to enter into custom boot menu.
It definitely gone when you flash another full sbf. But then you have the stock recovery to perform the full wipe.
Booting into stock: Start up phone and press vol- until android logo and follow with pressing vol- and vol+. Now you should be in stock recovery. Do the full factory wipe here.
Next boot into bootloader: Start up phone and press vol+ until you see bootloader screen. Don't worry anything stating in this screen.
Next flash your phone to froyo 2.2.2 sbf. If it still failed. You need to use another Rsdlite version or flash with another PC. It happen alot of peoples having flashing issue which is cause by incompatible PC.(Dont ask me why).
Make sure battery is in good state before flashing.
THanks a lot,I used differant farmware and it works!
thanks farsight73,

Can you access 2ndinit or Stock recovery by pressing both the volume key when blue light flashes??
I'm sure you can access Boot loader. If recovery not working then you may flash your phone with Froyo SBF using RSD lite.
Refer to below mentioned article for more info on this:

Hope this helps!!

Install RSDLite on your PC. Use WinRAR or 7zip to decompress the. gz file you downloaded (there is an sbf file inside - the clean Froyo firmware you want to flash - and save it somewhere.
Take your Defy and press the power and volume up button and release after some seconds so that you enter the bootloader mode (you see some white text on black ground).
Connect the phone via USB with your PC with RSDLite running.
In RSDLite click the button with the three dots and open the sbf file you extracted.
Hit the start button. Now it starts flashing the firmware, takes a couple of minutes.
When it's done the phone reboots and is running a Motorola Froyo firmware (not rooted or something, it can't really be called a ROM). If you want you can root, install CWM again etc and put your ROM in it again.
Almost always when your Defy is doesn't boot anymore or is somehow broken softwarewise, you can use this method to repair it.
thank you for your time.
i have done this steps,i flash this rom with rsd, root it with superoneclick, but i cant install cwm recovery with rom manager so i cant flash cyannogen again.i have found a apk (flipout system recovery)it goes me to recovery but it not working good

If you want the recovery menu you need to install 2ndinit. http://goo.gl/5P89P
Open the app and install the recovery menu with it, then reboot (some say it is safer to reboot even two times). You get the blue LED after powering the phone on, you have to press volume down then. There you can get to the custom recovery and wipe data, cache, install zips from SD etc.

Ah, I almost thought that you meant that It should rather be "Danke"
Ορίστε, κανένα πρόβλημα! ("You're welcome, no problem" in Greek?)
its:παρακαλω κανενα προβλημα!!
i translate it for be sure and it wrote me danken, and made me curious, but i was know it is danke!Danke any way my friend!!

ahh Sh**!

I have stable CM7 installed. What I did just now is installed SndInitDefy_2.0.apk (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032212)
Installed the stable .0.6 version of boot menu I think its called and rebooted in bootmenu and uninstalled the bootmenu. Now I'm stuck on the Google logo. Did I do something stupid? any fixes?
i did the same thing... stupid idea, don't know why but, it just got stucked
i have cm7 rom on the sd card, in case of something goes wrong
then i re-flash cm7 and try to install 2nd, it worked
i thing you need to unmark the usb debug and it will boot normaly >> (I think) <<
hmm I'm stuck with the Google logo when I power on, led light does nott flash either, is it bricked? If I press and hold the down vol key I get the caution sign.
Warfighter
i know it may have other ways to fix your defy
but try flash a stock sbf, i'm sure it will fix your problem
that caution sign is from the bootloader, you need to hold vol. up and down and it will enter on recovery
i recomend try to flash the stock sbf, since your defy enter in the stock bootloader it didn't have installed 2nd init
:/
looking at rds lite as we speak... did that I cant get in to recovery at all.
oops got it in system recovery now
hmm, you will flash the stock sbf?
you know, you can search in the forum, see if there is any thread that can help you, i just offer the easiest way
if you do, tell me if it worked or not
I have CMW backup of my cm7, can I apply it from this android system recovery? only option usefully in there is seems is the 'apply sdcard:update.zip'

I'm not sure yet, I may have to, downloading one right now.
you would have to use "choose a zip from sdcard"
look for that option, but I think that you can't apply from the stock system recovery,
just by 2nd init :S
back on stock rom now, I need to root and restore my cm7 rom
thanks dude.

How to root the g510-200

to root your g510-200
Step 1: download and install Huawei drivers on your pc
Step 2: unlock your bootloader at this site http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/servicePolicy.do?method=preUnlock you will have to wait a day or so for your code. follow instructions on that website to unlock your bootloader.
Step 3: download
installTWRPg510.zip
Click to collapse
OR
installCWMg510.zip
Click to collapse
and extract to desktop.
Step 4: go to settings on your phone, enable usb debugging and turn fast boot off. Now connect you phone to your pc in fastboot mode (start phone while holding volume down to enter fastboot mode. phone will stay on boot animation) go to the folder on your desktop and click the install-windows batch file. press any key to reboot. you now have cwm or twrp recovery installed.
Step 5: copy UPDATE-superSU.zip to your sd card and reboot phone into recovery by starting the phone while holding down the volume up button. choose install zip from sd card and flash
UPDATE-superSU.zip
Click to collapse
your phone is now rooted. keep this file in your sd card because some custom roms don't have root and you will need to re-flash this file. if superSU doesnt show up in your apps just download it from marketplace its free.
Step 6: make a back up of your stock rooted rom before you start flashing any custom roms.
I have tested this myself!
I have a g510-0200 with b189 optus firmware and i rooted my phone this way. Then restored it to stock factory b173 rom then rooted it again. So it works very well on both firmwares. :good:
ROMS!!!!
There are plenty of roms to try here! http://www.modaco.com/topic/365268-all-custom-roms-for-huawei-ascend-y300g510/ you can flash y300 (u8833) roms on your g510 too. you can flash custom g510-0100 roms on your g510-0200 phone and visa versa as long as your flashing them in a custom recovery. However if you are downloading factory stock firmware from huawei and installing it via the dload method on your sd card you MUST have the correct firmware eg: g510-0200 on a g510-0200 phone. This is only what ive read and im not willing to brick my phone. correct me if im wrong?
Not able to get into TWRP or CWM
Hey there sonyachin!
I too have the same phone model as yours... Huawei Ascend G510-0200
I have rooted it using another method
But I can't seem to get it in CWM or TWRP...
Will I still able to use your method of getting TWRP or CWM without Unrooting and Re-Rooting again???
It will be really a great help if you can reply fast!!!
Im new to rooting so... Yeah...
