There's a thread over in the evo general section that explains how to get sprint vvm working on cm7.

You need to:
1. Flash a sense rom, verify your voicemail is working, backup the app and data, flash back to CM7, restore app and data
or
2. Use google voice, or another 3rd party app.

I'm running cm7 and I love it but I wanted to know if anyone knows how to get visual voice mail. I tried downloading the app from the market and that didn't work.

You have to flash to a sense rom, verify it works, backup the app and data, flash back to CM7, restore app and data; or use google voice or a 3rd party app.

I'm not trying to be funny. Either that, or go install a Sense ROM and try profile and/or PRL update, then flash back.
Any other way?

What messaging app are you using?
And All problems go back to the very basic question; Did you do A THOROUGH wipe before you flashed MIUI?
Also do you currently have Google Voice, or have you ever installed Google voice recently? GV has a Sprint Integration option where it intercepts sms/mms..

I've tried everything I could think of to try and turn my voice mail on and or connect it.
I'm currently on the "newest" Synergy Rom, not godmode.
Any help?

I would suggest moving to Google Voice for your voicemail. If you plan on staying rooted, GV will be a nice feature that you'll never have to worry about!!

I have a evo 4G on boost mobile, my stock voicemail does not work, I have to use voicemail notifier, I would like to know if there is a rom that I can use like a modified stock rom that the voicemail works.
I know cyanogen roms work, but is there any other rom????
Thanks for your help

For some reason I cannot seem to get VVM to work properly. I can receive voicemails but they don't show up in VVM. I've tried some of the options found here but I can't seem to resolve this. I'm missing something here but I'm not really sure what to do from this point. Could anyone give me some direction?
What Rom are you using? Make a backup of the vvm app from a stock sense Rom, flash Rom of choice, and restore app+data from titanium backup. That should work. Worked for me every time

I'm using OD Bliss 3.5 rom. VVM is listed as included and no one else seems to be having issues. Is there a particular 1.0 rom you used to get the working version?
I just flashed the legacy classic rom. I'm still getting the issue that instead of showing up in vvm i just get a text message saying I have a voicemail. Maybe i'm misunderstanding vvm in general.
I backed it up from the original stock Rom. I know swagged out vvm works. I always had problems with 3.5 Rom vvm as well. It never worked without restoring

I'm an idiot, I hadn't disabled google voice so it was overriding vvm, I'm going to back it up and see if it works with 3.5.

Oh ya, that google voice will highjack your phone. It screwed my phone up really bad before. Couldn't make or receive calls.
