[Q] Drawstring cloth pouch? - Xoom Accessories

I was thinking of waiting and ordering an otterbox case when they become available. In the mean time though I need something to protect my Xoom from scratches and wear and tear while I transport it. Does anyone know of any drawstring cloth pouches for the Xoom? I was looking for something kind of like the pouches that ski goggles come in, or if anyone remembers the first demo of the xoom, the bag that he kept it in.

A Spy goggle bag fits on the Xoom, just barely though. It's too tight of a fit for my tastes. I'll post up some pics later tonight, if I remember.

Truthfully verizons body glove case is best for non bulkyness.Very stable fits well .ect.
I like my body glove
Personally I have tried the Body Glove case and I like the Otter Box Commuter case a little better. The new Seidio Innocase Active is also a very nice case; a close second to the Otter Box.
Definitely otter box. Slim sturdy and stylish

one problem though it has to slide into my jeans. Most of these cases have rubber and dont slide
Throwing in a vote for the Body Glove case.. great fit with just enough bulk to give you that warm protected feeling

You should check out Techie Warehouse. If you go to the Covers & Skins area for the Droid X you'll find over 300 covers to choose from.
Best one I got laying around was not a Seidio, Otterbox or Trident... it was the Dual Layer Vertex Covers just google "techie warehouse vertex cover for droid x"
I quote from our product description about this product "The Motorola Droid X gets ultimate protection. A Screen Protector and two virtual walls of defense. The inner silicone core absorbs shock from bumps and drops. A hard polycarbonate exterior shell prevents cuts, scrapes, dings, and damage for the Motorola Droid X."
Let me know what you think of it.
i bought one of the 3 dollar black silicone ones off amazon. works fine for me..

I have had the Otterbox, Seidio, Innocase, Verizon, Kragen, but I didnt really like any of them. Iphone cases are so much more refined compared to these.
The Otterbox Seidio, and Kragen cases are too bulky, the Innocase looks good but broke on me, and the Verizon Kickstand Case was too cheaply made.
There is a guy from another forum thats making a phone case. It looks great but its not for sale yet, I am personally looking forward to it because he claims its easy to open and has a bunch of other features. It looks absolutely beautiful, so lets hope he can pull this off.
Right now Im using a cheap Ebay Silicone case, its not great either but it was only $2 and thats value for money. I also got a Smartphone Coaster, its a cheap bit of tin but it does the job for now.

Phantomskinz does have skins for the droid X.. Check the site again!
+1 For the Body Glove
I really enjoy my Body Glove, Although I've managed to wear out the snap on the lower left side by removing the case over time to do a battery pull and it no longer holds securely.
I have a Green Trident Kraken on order, due to arrive today actually assuming UPS will brave the icy roads, Good reviews on protection but they all admit to the sacrifice of sleekness.
The pliable verizon silicone case is nice and it fits with extended battery-Motorola and cover. You can find them for $10 online or eBay.
Check ebay item #250759993717
I bought a Sedieo Innocase Surface back in December it cracked in half in January. They are really nice looking, but if you ever have to do a battery pull or if you want to use your car dock, forget about getting it out of the damn case. It fits way to tight. So I am back to the ole Silicone case, which works fine, but sucks if you put it in your pocket, cause it sticks to cloth / jean material.
I'm on my 2nd Body Glove case.
Likes: Belt clip, rubber texture, light weight
Dislikes: Rubber texture deteriorates, weak tabs will not survive impact.
It has kept my DX from scratches but the tabs that snap it together break too easily. First was replaced under warranty. I think I will kick out the $ for an Otter.

Those cases with tabs that snap together aren't meant to be taken apart, after 4 or 5 times they will break. I created a case that opens easily, has no tiny tabs to break and has a multitude of other features.
I've also taken great care to make sure that the case is placed further away from the screen and buttons making it easy to touch the screen and press the buttons on the bottom.
There's space for the OEM extended battery, an extra micro SD card, and even an ID or credit card.
The case also functions as a stand and car mount, my case allows you to watch movies, make movies, capture photos, and use your phones GPS in your car with ease. These features not only work with the Motorola Droid X but with other cases, other phones, and even some other electronic devices such as digital cameras.
The case isn't any more expensive then other high quality cases either. Its 20 bucks and made from the same high strength plastic as other high end cases, so basically if your in the market for a case and other accessories you can pay for just the case and get the rest for free essentially.
If you think this case must be huge and weigh a lot you'd be surprised, its really a simple concept, its almost like a normal cellphone case but we've changed a the design a bit to allow it to function as an adjustable stand.
I can't post links yet so you'll have to google "Jawcase" to find more info, pics, and videos.
I like the Jawcase concept. Alot. I pledged. And good luck with getting your project off the ground Heather. Hope it gets funded.
I've gone through 3 body gloves now with my 4th's clips are broken yet again....
I think its a bit ridiculous that I cant take my phone case off because the clips can't stand it.
I need to find a new case, and I'm thinking of just going with one of the hard-ish silicone cases. The body glove looks great when you buy it, but the rubber wears away like no tomorrow and the clips are destroyed after a couple battery pulls. I had one for my enV touch and it lasted the entire lifespan of the phone with minor tears and such. My droid x's can't last anymore than maybe a month. Don't get me wrong, the body gloves are wonderful, but I'm clearly not having a good experience with it or maybe I'm not handling it properly
+1 for the body glove case. I havent had any issues with the tabs, but i always open it at the bottom with a coin.

Shoot...I was pretty much sold on the Innocase Surface case, was gonna order one in the next few days. I've tried the cheap TPU case, the cheap 2-piece snap together case, maybe I'll try the Verizon silicon one instead of the Innocase.

Extended Battery cases

Just thought I would throw this out there for the people that are asking
http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Incr...5C/ref=sr_1_95?ie=UTF8&qid=1328665651&sr=8-95
If any one actually buys these remember to throw out a friendly review.
I tried that one out... it's okay. Currently rocking the one made by MoreTalkTime... which is not bad either.
Anyone try to do a cutout? I bought a tpu case and failed big time at cutting out the back. Arts and crafts are not for me I guess.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda premium
I'm trying this at the moment. Though, currently attempting to cut through the last layer of my ballistic case. Call me crazy, I was bored. It doesn't seem to be turning out too bad. The last picture shows the cut out square blocks which give an idea of what I will glue together and try to attach onto the hard piece of ballistic case using strong rubbery glue over super glued plastic side walls. Who knows, if it fails I will just buy a replacement case and cover.
I have done a cut out on a silacone case before with...well lack luster results. It basically looked like extra padded bumper.
After a few days, i am pretty happy with this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00669H7Z0/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
not a perfect fit if you use the HTC extended battery... but it fits well enough.
I'm not 100% satisfied, but only because I wanted a case that was extremely snug. This is not that case... but it fits w/ extended battery. Hard to really argue against it for 8 bucks too.
I'm tempted to just get this: http://shop.htcpedia.com/incredible-2-extended-battery-cases.html
but I dunno... i'm sure those are just TPU cases that someone else cut out by hand... more or less doing what I wish i could do with an xacto knife.
Making the Moretalktime case snug...
I have the HTC extended battery/back and purchased the moretalktime case.
Also was a little loose and just didn't feel as snug as I'd hoped, especially for a tpu case.
Simple solution though. Find a piece of material that's about 1mm thick and cut out a rectangle to insert inside the moretalktime case before sliding the phone in.
For me I used an old leather wallet I had laying around and cut out a rectangle to fit so it's not visible from any of the moretalktime case cutouts.
This gives a perfect snug fit all the way around and makes the case perfect for use with the HTC extended battery/back.
Just thought I'd share.....haven't found any other combo out there like this.
That's an interesting idea... a piece of leather just to pad it a bit.
It figures that we would have to add something in order to make the case feel sung.

Using my Pebble S3 Naked...

I always carry my S3 in my pocket and, it always leads to it being scratched from the constant movement.
All the screen protectors that I tried previously were all horribly scratched or would leave smudges and residue on the screen protector.
I'm planning on getting a pouch, preferably the Crumena pouch for the S3. Having a pouch that would snuggly fit my S3 would prevent the scratches.
Any recommendations?

I used this when going naked:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Pull-...799329?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item27c883b521
Good material and well-made too. Not sure if/how the belkin could be too much better.
However if you want something to use with a case go this route..
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271015599116?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Wow, the Crunema looks pretty nice! Seems much better than both the belkin and the ebay pull-tab case. On both of those, sometimes its tough to tell which side of the phone the pull-tab goes on and you have to peek inside the case before inserting your phone. Having the pull-tab on the side makes it clear the proper orientation and no more having to peek inside.. .kind of like that But for an extra $25 maybe not so much..
Thanks for the recommendation! That's way cheaper than the crumena. The shops in my area are selling the similar products at $20... Do the leather wear and tear with prolonged usage?
I use a black leather suncase pouch, its very high quality, i love it

Anyone tried PDair pouch?

I Can not decide what case to choose, SENA one, but it's to thin and I hate the leather pattern, or go for good ol' PDair,
they have than one http://www.pdair.com/index.php/leat...nexus-gt-i9250-vertical-pouch-type-black.html with multiple stitching color to chose from.
I asked them what the inner side part is made of, and they told me
"Thanks for your enquiry. ALL our Genuine PDair Leather Case is made of Premium Korea Cowhide leather and inner part is pvc. The inner part is a little hard to support the case but won’t get scratchiness on the phone."
Now PVC can also mean vinyl, maybe they mean it's hard to bend but soft to touch? anyway post your answers, still think to go with PDair as the shipping is free, SENA wat's 30$ to ship to Israel and it's ridiculously pricier, LOL not that I'm one to complain, as I ordered some acessories from EXPANSYS UK (extended battery w/cover, and desktop multimedia dock for my GNEX, but they was cheaper back then in comparison to eBay):silly:
I have the same PDair version, but with a belt clip. It protects the screen just fine, in fact that is what I bought it for. It's not slim, but its the only thing I put in that pocket. For the times i'm not wearing business clothes (often) I clip the clip on the edge of my pocket, so the pouch sits inside my pocket, and the clip keeps it towards the top of the pocket. It also keeps the phones screen safe when i'm not keeping it in my pocket and throw it on a table or counter somewhere. It'll protect it from a lot of drops, but nowhere's near as effective of otterbox style cases.

Can you show me some photos? also do you maybe use extended battery? the thing is, that I want to make a pair, buy same type of case for both my Galaxy Nexus and my Nexus 7, I currently use SGP Crumena for the GNEX.
if you compare SENA, SGP and PDair, the last one is different, it not protect all the sides as the other.
on other hand the SENA vs PDair for N7 is that they do protect all sides

StilGut Book Case clip wear

Hello all,
I wanted a leather flip case, I saw the StilGut Book Case on Amazon, so I instantly ordered it.
I'm kinda worried about the clip though, since it latches on the device's body. Looks like it doesn't apply a lot of pressure to clip, probably less than when putting on or taking off my Caseology Legion case, but still I'm a bit worried. Does anyone use this specific case to tell us if he has noticed any wear on the device?
