Sorry if this subject has been beaten up a few times. I know how to use the search tool. From the xda app that's a no go. I have looked for the topic but had little luck.
I had the hd7 at initial release. T-Mobile service drove me away. Had used the still in infancy GV+ app. Wasn't too great.
Who uses Google voice and also a WP7 app that can give a positive feedback on a WP7 app that is close to the same functionality ?
I am awaiting the HD7S from AT&T.
Thanks in advance. I don't ask enough lazy no presearching questions to get flamed

Hey guys, quick policy question regarding the marketplace. I see that we aren't allowed to sell or trade anything but phones/accessories (and tablets?).
My question is: does this same rule apply when RESPONDING to someone else's phone post? (Offering a PC for trade, etc.)

I lieu of any explicit rule, I would say No.
The MP is provided as a service for members to buy/sell/trade their old and unwanted phones that this site offers support for. The reason we have this, is just to keep it non-commercial, friendly and user focused. If we allow PC's we have to allow other things, or make the rules more explicit in this area.
Regards,
Dave
Cool, that's kind of what I was guessing. Thanks for the reply, sir.

im sending my g2 back to be replaced because the flash LED stoppped working all of a sudden, so i was wondering if someone can give me like a list of things that need to be done so tmobile doesnt know i was rooted thanks!
The first step is to search.
The second is to post in the correct thread.
I agree. This is covered on hundreds if not thousands of google search results. Googlephone=ability to search. Why do people ask questions................. wait for an answer............... when if they type the same thing in the search box built into the phone.................. they will get the same if not better and more relevant result.
Reading is fundamental and google search will lead the way

sorry guys last time i leave my computer unattended with my brother in the room, ill fix the thread right now
Good excuse. XD
JKJK I believe you. Slightly...
Just wondering really? they keep getting locked for off-topic, when general is a pretty wide topic... i would think anything pertaining to the epic that isnt a question or a development, should go there... maybe im wrong??
Exactly... moderators really need to do a MUCH better job at communication. I have sent PM's and do not get responses, so please explain moderators.
they only communicate by banning and closing threads.. theimpaler was one of the few mods here that could communicate... the rest put this place on auto pilot and ban/mod without reading or communicating and half the time without thinking...
Thank you
Thanks Chris for speaking up for the new people around. Means a lot
Dale
I am wondering this as well and I was also wondering why threads that bash our developers are kept open long enough for people to pop in and take pot shots.

Agreed, seems as if they get amusement from watching us bicker but once something actually important gets posted they're on it like flies on ****.

Hopefully the mods get this under control because we are losing some of our kindest and most helpful devs. Also, what the flamers fail to realize is they are only hurting the rest of the community because a lot of the developers, themers, and testers are just choosing to communicate via G-Talk anyway. Its truly sad that developers spend hours, days, and weeks of their free time, often working all night long to provide their great projects, and they seem to get less respect than someone who spreads nothing but negativity and provides no help whatsoever.

Lets keep it in one place: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1177144
Not sure if this has been suggested before, but a dev podcast would be great...the Android podcasts out there now, are pretty much unlistenable due to crappy audio quality and and boring content. I think it would be cool for diff. dev. teams to talk hacking, rom-ing, theming and addressing issues and new technology. For example... have the guys from Team Nocturnal on to discuss their roms with special guests like kernel devs and themers on. It would be a great way for these dev. teams to get some money by selling advertising and doing something they do on here for free anyway... Maybe the website could even finance and advertise these, get them out there and drive even more traffic to the site. Ask those interested for show demos and maybe pick the best for each carrier and discuss their phones exclusively. Just a thought, maybe an hour or two a week to keep their minions up to date and answer the best questions on air. I would listen and download and support such a project. If you would too, let xda hear your voice. Let them know your feelings and ideas below!

I couldnt agree more , I googled for XDA Podacast and your thread showed up ...
Some of the podcasts are ok (Engadget,Verge) but im looking for something more along the ROM flashing variety as well ...
Will point the admin in this direction. Thanks for your suggestion
We have a podcast in the pipeline Look for it in Q1 next year
Holy S! Thread is resurrected! With ICS dropping on a lot of phones around then, that is perfect timing. Thank you thank you thank you! When this happens we need people to pump this on their Twitter and Facebook accounts and get the word out in the threads....huge leap for XDA, this should be commended and supported by all the Android freaks out there! Props!

I've seen multiple references to it as well as downloads, can someone explain what exactly it's designed to do or if it's worth having? Thanks

Even though we all know we can do a google search, we still get those people that like to waste time just to be funny....what a shame. Some people are able to provide better info just from having a first hand experience than what a google search might pull up.
Sorry dude that I am of no help, but I just wanted to say it sucks to not get an answer in a QUESTION & ANSWER forum.

It appears we ported some less than helpful folks from other areas.
The engine appears to make images crisper and add some clarity. Welcome to the forums and continue to ask good questions!

Thank you very much for the useful info. Us noobs need our hands held sometimes and we need people like you. I hit your thanks button
thanks! yeah i was really looking for why it was used in the jedi rom and i saw people had asked in that thread and didnt see any answers, so i figured a new thread might get me somewhere. Unfortunately we'll always have dbags on the internet!
That was not intended to be funny or rude. Had the question been "is there a noticeable impact on performance one way or the other, and does gpu rendering do anything to help", that would have been a great question. A simple "what is", especially when one manages to find XDA, without having done some simple research that would have easily answered the question is something that will catch you flack on almost any forum.
I apologize if you found it rude, as it was assuredly less intended than some of the other responses.
Check out how many threads have topics as "wtf" or "help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". It helps everyone in the end if people ask better questions.
