I am lost in terms of where to begin. Could someone please point me in the direction of a beginner's installation guide for Android on Kaiser? I looked at the wiki, but it's all gibberish for some reason (someone might have messed with it). If someone just gives me a link, I will gladly delete this thread. Thank you.
On forum are many answers to the question "how to start". On the first page you have a guide "How to replace Windows Mobile with Android (Guide)". You're the one that have to see the ROMs availlable and choose one that you like. For one people one is the best, but for other is other... Because all ROMs have different softwares, tweaks, etc...
Just follow the link that i gave and see wich ROMs are availlable.
In the same link there is a "How 2to flash" that explains you how to do it...

The idea is
1. Read the forum ….a lot first get an idea on what’s what and how it works!
2. Go to the relevant sub section for your phone.
3. Read that forum a lot.
4. Search for the how to update my phone guide via the search function.
5. Follow the guide and then if your not certain or stuck THEN post a help request.
I think you will find that there are many different versions of the rom and you will want try the different ones yourself and see what works for you.
As a rule what one person thinks is the best thing since sliced bread the next will think is a pile of manure you ultimately will need to make a decision and once you have followed a guide (and I do mean follow to the letter) and seen how easy it is to do you will feel less worry about the process.

I am new in this forum recently few months ago i buy HTC HD, and somehow on the google search i came in this forum and join the forum, in my op opinion there are many professionals in this froum and giving the guide to everyone.
About me i have windows 6,1 on my htc and during the serch in this fourm i have seen many versions of win like 6,5,
I want to install win 6,5 on my HTC HD, and i tried to follow the dumies guide for new flashers, honestly it seems difficult for me to follow the instructions,

I really want to root it but im not a a techy type, but i know how to follow instructions. I just need a step by step on how to root it & the files needed. I do not know how to work with command promp. so please tell me all the commands i need to put in step by step so i can understand. thanks. please help & sorry for being so dumb on these things :\

Been there and done that and understand where you are coming from. I actually followed the following link and it was VERY useful as it is expalined step by step http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=754669
As far as the ROM he uses I cannot tell you if it is good or not but if you "flash" (unzip) [ROM] SLIDE-Reloaded v1 [9/16/10] Sense 2.1 this one it is similar to what you have now and you can slowly ease into other ones once you get used to using your phone.

hi, I'm looking for all needed files/softwares to install CyanogenMod 7.1.0. some links from the first post are dead because megaupload has been taken down and I have too small amount of posts that's why i'm asking here. also I just recived Defy+, it's my first android phone and I have no idea how to install anything. I checked instruction and that topics in general section for beginers but I still can't understand anything. So if you could do a small and easy instuction step by step I would be greatful! thanks in advice =)

Hi, I've been referred to this forum for help with rooting. I've heard that rooting the Tab Pro to Nougat will help the tablet run better, have better battery performance etc.
I've been looking through the forum and I haven't been able to find a thread containing a step by step guide to do this. I did actually find a website with a guide but I was suggested to not trust the site and come here instead. Never rooted before so I am not entirely sure with what I'm doing.
Any help or linking to a relevant thread would be great.
