hello is it possible to transfer or (porting) the GUI of htc desire hd to LG P920 Optimus 3D? because i don,t like the weather app on LG P920 Optimus 3D.
Everything is possible. However I assume you mean HTC Sense, which AFAIK is a closed source shell sitting atop of Android. It would therefore be somewhat difficult.

If it's just the weater app/widget or any other, you can look for copies of HTC's widgets on the Android Market. There are plenty, because HTC's IMO make the most beautyfull and functional widgets. For the weater you can search for "beautyfull widgets" on the market.

hello i was wondering if there is a ROM that i can run motoblur or the new ninjablur with my evo. i see that its done on the g1 and htc hero but is there one for the htc evo.
Maybe this is just my noobishness, but I thought motoblur was a skin that was thrown over the top of Android. Kind of like Sense. Not just one app but a whole theme? If that's the case wouldn't that have to be a motoblur ROM that has been ported to our phone???
why in the world would you want motoblur?

To each their own I guess. Choices are what make Android great

Actually i just want the widgets that update live like the facebook and all the other widgets. there is a widget called happenings that i like on the motoblur. dont get me wrong i love my htc evo it the best phone out there. i also have an iphone 4 and the evo kills the iphone 4 in my opinion. but i like the happening widget on the motoblur and i saw on youtube it running on a htc hero and thata why i want motoblur. i looked on the market and we cant get the happenings widgets like motoblur. thats why i want motoblur or ninjablur on the droid x. does anyone have any suggestions on how i can get the widgets feature or motoblur for my evo??
Hey guys,
Just wondering if there is a HTC People or HTC Dialler app which is extracted from the HTC ROM's either in apk format or as a zip which I can flash? I've searched the forum but not found anything - wondering if they can be extracted since I assume that they can work without HTC Sense (e.g. when using different launchers)
I want to use OpenDesire but don't like the stock Android contacts/dialler.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hey, you can use Launcher Pro for sense like widgets. Otherwise sense widgets cannot use with default launcher on froyo.

Hi - thanks for your answer - I know that I can use Launcher Pro etc but what i'm really interested in is the actual phone app and the contacts app which are on the HTC ROM's. When using a Sense ROM, if i change launcher to, for example, Launcher Pro, then i can still use the HTC Phone and Contacts app - thats what i'm after on a non-Sense ROM.
The only sense integration is with Facebook Sync I think - which I could live without.
there is no option using sense widgets on froynly with launcher pro but i dont like it,i like sense widgets but i dont like sense, only widgets that i like.
I like to know if there's a way too, I don't like android's contacts\dialer either.
As far as I'm aware, the HTC dialler and phone .apk are too deeply integrated with sense to work as a standalone app on non-sense roms. Simply removing the apk won't work.

Cheers Rolfd - that would explain why no one has done it!
Does anyone know of any alternatives which offer smart dialling by typing in the name, etc?
Market: Dialer One
You could try Dialer One on the market.
Edit: I'm too slow!
Thanks guys - I'll try Dialler One on my next visit to Senseless Froyo!
Dialer one is the best in the market I think as a replacement for HTC's dialer however you could also check out "NubDial" some people prefer that.

Hi guys,
Don't know whether opening a new thread is pretty overkill for just this purpose. But here i go anyways. The new sense shown on-board the Desire HD and Desire Z, seems to be pretty cool. Landscape support and the new Task Manager Access Via the Notification Area are welcome additions. Any idea whether this new interface will be available as an official update for us original Desire owners? or is it just for the New Gen of Desires??

There is a thread already, and there is no roadmap for the new Sense on older devices yet.

Is there no way whatsoever to use HTC Sense Widgets with other launchers? What differences are there between them and normal Widgets, that makes them unusable without the HTC launcher? Can't they be ported?
I am curious too.
although android is open source. HTC Sence is not, htc have spent many hours making sure they wont work with other launchers, and as it is no source code it cannot be ported
I'm sure there is some way of tricking it into thinking that it's the default HTC launcher?

I would say the calendar because I just love the way it works and looks, but LP copied it well, so I'm good.
A lot of work to try and reverse engineer rosie and the widgets. For all we know half the widget code is inside rosie itself which would explain why the widgets only run on rosie.
Maybe someone could invest considerable time in trying to reverse engineer it but why bother? I'm not even sure such an endeavour wouldn't be in violation of copyright law our patent law.
-----
Someone Swyped my idea.
I guess none will reverse it, since it's totally closed source and the best devs don't use sense at all.
But there arrrrr replacements for nearly all sense stuff in the market. Miui clock and animated weather pro are great replacements for the clock.
Also, if you made the first step to get rid of sense, also take the second and use a non sense rom like cyanogenmod.you will love the speed and added functionality
Swyped with cyanogenmod 7 powered HTC Desire HD. Excuse typos.
Thanx for the info

You get not compatible error when you try to download from market?? If yes, are you using 200 dpi?? Try reverting back to 240 stock.
Nah i think it is to do with ARHD non standard build.prop as in it lists my phone as a Desire HD A9191 not a stock Desire HD
