Does anyone know how to get one of these? or is there a dev that wants to help a lost soul(s) with the constant wondering if my phone really IS downloading an mms or if its just lying to me. I live in an area where i have to use an Airave and i never know if its working on 1xdata. most of the time, it says its downloading, but i feel like an idiot after waiting 15 minutes just to figure out nothing is happening.
Comme on guys. this is the second time i posted this with no reply.

Hi All,
I have the Modaco 2.2 rom installed, however when someone txt's me, it is always 4 hours behind the actual time. Ive tested this by texting myself @ say 8pm, and the received message will be time stamped at 4pm when its mere seconds apart...does anyone have any ideas on what the issue could be?
Thanks!
actually i have a similar prob too but in my case the person replying to me always seems to do it before my time...even though it me who had messaged first...BUT I HAVE THE OFFICIAL ROM..NOT STOCK!
Might be a bug (not sure if its HTC and/or android as I cant test) but do both of you happen to live in an area where you have to manually set the Daylight saving time or use some "odd" timezone indication set by your provider ?
Yes i have to set it according to the srvice provider...but i can change it as well..any solutions??
Just letting you guys know, you're not alone. I get this issue, too. Happened both on stock 1.xxx and now mcr 2.2
Was it just those roms that had that kinda behavior, and when you switched it was fine again? Im wondering if its juts a wacky rom or something wrong w. the phones hardware.
It's a network issue. At least for me it was.
I applied the fix from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=559731
and it worked for me! I was 4 hours behind too. It's great having my texts actually thread correctly.
Hope it works for you!
Hi all!
Not sure as to why but I am having problems connecting to 3G and also having bluetooth signal issues.
Regarding the 3g, it is showing up in the menu bar but when I try to go into the Market, it gives me a connection problem and wants me to keep retrying. Even if it does connect, it disconnects fairly quickly and gives me the same retry popup.
Regarding bluetooth, I was having no issues until recently. it is really choppy ever since I updated to Fresh's rom 3.2 and also went to a new HBOOT in order to flash my splash screen. People on the other side are having a fair amount of problems understanding me.
Is it possible that these 2 issues are related somehow and if so, how? Is there a way to fix as may something have happened when I changed the rom or HBOOT?
Thanks in advance for any help!
So, I have posted 3 threads in the last 5 days and got only 2 replies to them. Are people just unwilling to help nowadays or am I doing something wrong or is it because I don't post a lot that this is happening? I think I have been descriptive and courteous in my posts and would appreciate some help.
I see posts both right before mine and right after getting help and yet no one helps me. How about sharing the knowledge and suggestions PLEASE???
This may help any interested...my Mobile Network setting is constantly showing as "Turning On" but never completely turns on. Why is that and how do I fix it?
My 4g does completely turn on but do not know if it works as do not get in my local area.
Thanks for the help.
Ok so first and foremost, for the last two days (Sunday and Monday) my mobile network not been working at all. I turn it on and it acknowledges that but nothing happens, no notification in the notification bar at the top, nothing.
So i tried to fix it myself, did some googling, tried the t-mobile forum as that is my network and found an interesting post, posted 6 days ago. This person had a very similar problem to me and the solution they gave was to change an APN setting. In particular the Authentication type to "PAP or CHAP". That did nothing. Someone else told me to change the APN type from default to "*". Now that did work.
I had my mobile internet back, so i thought fine problem solved but bloody hell is it slow. It was never this slow, in fact before the problem i was quite impressed whenever i used my mobile network. Even when using HSDPA it is still very slow. Loading a website takes minutes rather then seconds.
To solve this i went to the t-mobile website and got new APN settings. Those new settings didn't even use HSDPA. I was stuck of GPRS! So i went back to the other settings and well i'm back to the problem of having a ridiculously slow mobile internet.
Anyone had the same problem? Or have a fix? Sorry for making this very long but i like to explain everything.
Would really appreciate any help on this matter. I plan on calling T-mobile tomorrow but if their APN settings didn't work i have no idea what to expect.
Nobody expects it but if this has just happened out of the blue then its more likely on T-Mobiles end. Maybe they're having some problems. Call them tomorrow just to confirm.
Cheers, will call them of course. I asked around and nobody else has had problems, i would have thought their own forums would be going mental if it was a big problem but maybe its confined to a small local server or mobile tower around here. We shall see.
God knows when the problem actually started, i was in Central London looking for a Starbucks and thought my phone could tell me, noticed it didn't work. I do know that it wasn't the gingerbread update because it was working after that.
For the life of me I can't get picture messages sent through 3g. They won't go through unless I put WiFi on. Anyone experience this or know a fix?

I will say that I was unable to receive them without WiFi. I haven't gone through the diagnostic steps yet to make a good report to the devs because I rarely get them and haven't remembered to do so.
This is on the 9-20120331-SNAPSHOT-epic4gtouch-alpha2 version if that matters using darchstar's FD02 kernel he posted a couple days ago.
If you have time, can you run a logcat with and without your WiFi on so the devs (or even the rest of us) can see what is happening?

I haven't flashed to alpha 2 yet but I've had several problems regarding SMS/MMS on alpha 1
Sometimes I can't send messages at all if they are more than a few words long, sometimes it works fine, I can't receive MMS at all most of the time regardless of the connection.. Other times every msg I receive will come in as an MMS that I have to d-load.. even if it's just a couple words... But I barely have time to flash to another ROM with work and school much less actually track down a problem.. good luck
Okay, let me start off by saying I'm not entirely sure if this is a device issue, or a service issue.
Whenever I try to send an SMS, it spins that damn circle and eventually throws a failed message. Sometimes the addressee receives the text, more often than not, they don't.
So my question is, does anyone else have this issue? If so, how'd you fix it? If not, any advice or next steps I should take?
-Matthew
EDIT: Calls work just fine, it's only texting.
What ROM are you on ? How man bars of signal do you have when you are experiencing the issue ?
Stock jelly bean. I had full bars but signal was roughly -87dBm with I think 11 amu. It started later in the evening but the next day everything was back to normal.
Must've been an outage.
