[Q] Speakerphone default off - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
How can I turn speakerphone off. It is somehow changed to default to on. It doesn't help to press off button in middle of call. Next call, same story. It is on again.
How can I turn it off for default?
Regards, Ales

Ok, I solved this. Restart helped.

Strange Problem with Speakerphone! please help!!!

about two nights ago i was on the phone using speakerphone, my phone was also hooked up to my computer but activesync wasn't working so i did a soft reset which seems to always fix that. what i did was that i told the person i was on the phone with that i would call them back and i did a soft reset while on the phone with them while it was on speakerphone instead of hanging up. when my phone turned on again i noticed that the speakerphone icon was in the title bar and apparently speakerphone was on. i made a phone call but speakerphone actually wasn't on, i pressed the button to try and turn it off but it didn't, i opened up the menu options and tried to shut it off from there but also failed. i've done a soft reset but that didn't work, i've looked around for a bout a day and a half but i haven't found anything. i am really trying to avoid a hard reset but unless someone can help me out i think i might have to
any help is greatly appreciated
fixed!
i installed a program called Speakerphone that automatically turns on your speakerphone when you have an incoming call having it automatically turn on re-enabled the "speakerphone off" key

Automatic Speaker Phone issue (Stock)

Just got my TP2 today, and one of the features I was looking forwards to using was the automatic speaker phone.
I turn the phone over on a call, and the Mute button lights up. Then it vibrates and the speaker turns on. Then it vibrates off, then on. Sometimes it just turns onthe Mute, but not the speaker.
Obviously I have made sure that Phone->Options->Advanced Turn on speaker when flipped is checked.
The speakerphone works fine when I press the button.
I did try searching for this, and all I found was someone whom upgraded to 6.5 and didn't recheck that option.
I'm using stock, just out of the box. Installed apps -> Facebook, PockeTwit, ZoomBar Addon.
Any help is as always, greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

It's not just turning it over, but putting it *facedown* on a flat surface. Did you try that?

I'd say that unless you've been setting it down on an uneven surface -- or not actually setting down at all as the other guy suggests -- there must be something wrong with your phone.
There's no setting/configuration that would cause the inconsistent erratic behavior you describe -- going on then off, vibrating, etc -- if it's setting on a flat table-top or similar.
Got a new phone yesterday. Went to the store, called the store, set my phone down and said "Isn't this supposed to be on speaker now?" and that was that lol.
Thanks for the help guys

[Q] When on speakerphone, disable screen

Hey guys,
When i'm on a call, and on speakerphone, after a minute or so... the phone screen turns off. Is it possible to make it goto standby instead? I prefer to reactive the screen by touching it rather than having to press the power button and then clicking end call.
Anyone know if there's a feature to change this?

[Q] Prevent sleep during call

Hi,
I love my HTC One X but one thing drives me insane. Once I've been on a call for a minute, the screen goes to sleep and I can't get in to any of my apps like Calendar etc that I need to check during a call. The only button that responds is the power button which ends the call!
Can you please let me know how to prevent sleep during a call?
I've just bought Tasker, so I'm hoping that I can do something with that, is that the best place to start?
Thanks,
JD
It shouldn't be doing that by default.
You can turn on/off the 'power button ends call' option in accessibility

I'm facing the same problem, other than the Power button terminating the call.
This is getting on to my nerves now!
Is there a fix to this?

Perfect, that fixed it, thanks!
How do I prevent the screen from going to sleep, while on a call?
If I am on a call and I get a call waiting tone, I look at my screen and it's blank. Similarly, like I said earlier, at the end of the call too, I can't end the call because the screen is again blank!
The Power key seems to wake it up, but it is annoying to keep pressing it all the time.

my screen is not turning on during call

Hi . here is my problem. When I'm on a call (does not matter whether I receive or make call), my screen turns off when I have it near my ear. That is fine and I understand it.
However when I take phone away from my ear and would like to end the call, the screen does not turn on. There is no way to turn it on from my end. No button helps. As a results, I cannot end call (or do anything else) unless the other party ends call.
The only help here is to hold power button long enough so the phone restarts.
if the other party ends call, my phone works fine.
Can anybody help me to solve this?
Thank you for any advice
I had a similar problem when I replaced my screen. I followed this and it has been working fine ever since.
Hope it works for you!
EDIT : [DELETE]
Sorry, same thing has been linked.
calibrated, will check after some use. Thank you guys
it works
