Been flashing my phone like crazy. I've noticed the camera app on aosp roms take much clearer pictures. I'm back on myns rom with what appears stock camera app. How can I get the aosp camera app on a sense rom? Thanks

Which Rom are you using? If its an AOSP Rom can't do it. If its Sense the aol should beHtcCamera.apk

The implication here is that a Sense apk will not work on an AOSP ROM
Since its AOSP you should buy or use a camera app from the market, i have Vignette as well as FxCamera
Is it possible to "push/use" Cyanogen's AOSP camera and camcorder app with let's say Fresh's EVO 3.x.x.x rom? And if so which files would I have to push and replace?
I noticed that the camera app on Cyanogen's ROM focuses much quicker and takes much clearer shots?

Has anyone tried to do this yet? The CM6 Camera app is leaps and bounds better than the stock one.
Edit: So I just tried this and it did not work. I first uninstalled the HTC camera app and then tried to install the CM camera and I got FC's. Hopefully someone can get this working.

I've been using CyanogenMod nightlys for a month maybe, and everything is awesome, except for the camera.
I really miss the awesome stock tw camera, it is amazing compared to the cm camera.
Is there any way to install it?

My understanding is it is very difficult to get that to happen. I posted this in general earlier today though. Probably as close to TW features as you will find on CM.

so i always wondered does our camera quality BETTER on STOCK TOUCHWIZ roms than on CM roms?
on me personally
when on TOUCHWIZ i can FOCUS this that are really up close.
but when i was on a CM roms i was not able to FOCUS this that were really up close.
(when i say up close i mean like 3 mm guessing lmao. )
As i see it, TW roms will almost always provide a better camera with more features. They built their firmware specifically for this camera, while cm is more generic and built to cover many devices.

I was currently on an AOSP rom but had to flash back to stock rom because I needed to update the my PRL and profile. While on stock rom, I opened up the stock camera app and noticed the camera took really nice pictures and the video I recorded looked so clean and crisp.
I flashed back to Mahdi-Rom (I also noticed this on Dirty Unicorn, CM 11, Pac-Man) and saw that the AOSP camera app did not look as good as stock. When I tried video recording it looked bad.
My questions, are you guys using the AOSP camera app or another app that makes the video recording and taking pictures look better?

Just curious. But is the stock ROM OpTimus or Stocktimus? Those 2 have a modded camera app.
But plain ol stock did pretty good to.
