WP7 Supertube problem on HTC Trophy - Windows Phone 7 General

Just tried using the Supertube release on Wp7. Works fine using data connection, but it seems i cant get it to work using wifi. Streaming gets stuck without any video playing, downloading always stucks on initializing and never seems to have any progress. Anyone having this problem?

Found that if you go on opera and go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer it works!!!
as quoted here.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/where_to_get_iplayer/
you dont need flash it uses the video player app on Touch HD, says it works for Xperia users too and Omnia!!!
have fun, ohh you can do the following
CATCHUP
WATC LIVE TV
LISTEN TO LIVE RADIO
I don't know about anybody else.... but I already knew this! I've been using Iplayer on my Touch HD since Christmas (when I got my Touch HD).
The problem, still, is that you need wifi... you can't use your Data Connection!
I'm still having trouble. From the other threads I think a few people still do.
I've tried several times. No luck. It opens in the video player but then just hangs on "connecting".
Now that the blackstone is supported there shouldnt be any need to change the user agent... but still?

Same thing happens with mine anyone out there got any ideas?
sorry i only just found this out have been watching ot through skyfire lol. i was impressed with both
My understanding is iPlayer works only on 3 and vodafone over their network at the moment. I've used it with 3 no problems.
^ True, but it should work over wifi no matter what network you use.
In my case and others, the Touch HD can't deal with Iplayer via wifi out the box.
Those of you having problems over wifi might find the problem is nothing to do with the BBC or the Touch, but your router/firewall. I have two wifi networks in my house - one is within my network behind the gateway/firewall PC and another is right at my broadband modem (in the DMZ).
Connecting directly through the broadband modem means I can watch the iPlayer no problem, but if I'm behind the gateway then the HD's streaming app can't connect. I haven't bothered to investigate which ports I need to open in the gateway to make it work within the network but I assume it must be possible.
Hope this helps suggest a pointer for investigation.
are you sure its the main site and not this one: www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer

it doesn't matter if you type in bbc.co.uk/iplayer, it redirects you automatically to the mobile version.
I get: "Please switch to Wifi to play this programme.".
I'm from the Netherlands and use the Vodafone network, how can i resolve this problem?
i am on T-mobile uk, and i also get pls switch to wifi, thing is.... if you was near wifi, your probably at home, use the pc to watch iplayer lol. Guess theres always the usefulness for the toilet lol
I have the same problem where it hangs on connecting,
i've seen a video of it running but the media player the guys using isn't
the standard pvplayer that comes with the touch hd out of the box.

everyone keeps saying this but it's not on mine. is it somewhere on my system? i've looked through every executable and it's like my touch hd
didn't come with the standard software.
That media player is not the default one that opens when I try to use Iplayer either. Mine has less and smaller icons. They're circles too. Not Square.
If the problem is with the router/firewall, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
The youtube player works perfectly over both wifi and 3g. I also have Gremote working fine... both of which require connections to the PC..?
Not working no more

TP2 and BBC iPlayer

Trying to get iPlayer stuff to work on my TP2. I followed the instructions here:
http://blog.artesea.co.uk/2008/11/b...-the-x1-or-even-the-diamond-or-touch-pro.html
I can now get onto www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer okay, but when I actually try to play something, it shells out to the streaming media player, says it's playing, then says "buffering...0%" then does nothing - just stays buffering at 0% and eventually tells me it couldn't connect.
Any suggestions?
hmm...works fine on mine, through wifi, though the audio sometimes is slightly out of sync, picture is good though
I'm using myplayer on my TP2. Works perfectly for me

HTC Streaming Media Problem

I just updated with the OTA to 2.2 this morning (8-03-10). Now I can not open any RTSP links with HTC Streaming Media Player, it times out and says "Unable to connect to server". I use this everyday to watch two security cameras and it has always worked fine (in 2.1). I tried two other links that i know are working and same thing.
rtsp://video2.multicasttech.com/AFTVCrime3GPP296.sdp
rtsp://video2.multicasttech.com/AFTVSciFi3GPP296.sdp
I did a hard reset after the update thinking something got messed up, still no go.
Can somebody try those links and see if you have the same problem? Does anyone else stream RTSP?
Thanks for any help or direction.
Not sure if it's exactly related, but using the HTC Evo 2.2 stock ROM (Rooted) and I can stream RTSP via VLC just fine over WiFi.. but not over 3G.
I tried your first link and it works over WiFi (Had to use default browser then select media streamer, Dolphin HD can't handle it at all).
Over 3G however the link gave me the same error.
It's as if RTSP was disabled over 3G.. perhaps it's not an OS but a carrier issue? (I'm using sprint)

[Q] DoubleTwist AirSync

Did anyone have any success connecting Desire HD with DoubleTwist AirSync. DHD seems to disconnect every few seconds, but it works well with other devices (Samsung etc.), the problem seems to be affecting only the new HTC models (HD and Z). Any tips?
It does the same for me, connects, disconnects, connects again and so forth.
When I first installed it I had no problems and it worked for the first few times but now it's just stuck in this loop of connecting and disconnecting
Exact same, only I'm trying to sync it on a nexus one, it has worked perfectly for me up until now.
Cyanongen 7
wifi calling
Works without the problem for me. Stock ROM.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App

I had the same problem. Then I uninstalled doubletwist from the phone and reinstalled it and it worked.
Try this and if it doesn't work, try reinstalling everything, including the windows/mac application.
Please, post back your results. After a couple of problems (disconnect every few seconds at work, network error at home) I got it working 100% at work and at home.
I had some initial problems setting up AirSync on my DHD (Stock ROM) but after some fiddling it did successfully connect and sync my entirely library. Sorry, can't remember what I did.
Having applied a custom ROM i'm now unable to start DoubleTwist at all. hmmm. My call i guess, app support for custom ROMs is rare.

Streaming Video/Audio Sync Issue

I have a stock HTC Wildfire S that got the ota update to 2.35 er so. Before and after the update I am experiencing Streaming Video/Audio Sync Issues when trying to play video through my browser and the Netflix app. The audio rolls along with no hinderance or interference while the video stops, jumps, glithches or just plays but way out of sync with the audio. I have tryed several different websites to no avail. The craziest thing is, through the Youtube app, all videos play crisp and with no flaws. This is all being done over WiFi and has been tested on several different WiFi connections. On a side note, formated videos that are on my SD card also have no issues. I have the version of flash player for my version of android installed and 30-40mb of open internal storage.
Any idea would help, ty.
Same here. I wonder if overclocking is needed to get Netflix to play decently over WiFi.
Nick
Same here, I 'm even trying to get Skype to work. My wives LG Optimus Elite can stream Skype and Netflix video just fine even over a good 3G signal.
Yet on the Wildfire just trying to do audio with Skype wont even work on WiFi.
I am regretting this phone more and more.
