Thanks Button - About xda-developers.com

Where is the Thanks Button to say "thank you"? i have read many realy good post here in this forum but i cant say thank you!

1. You have to be logged in first.
and
2. The Quick Style Chooser, (the drop-down box down in the far bottom left of each page), must be set to style "XDA 2010" or "XDA 2013", if it is set to "XDA Classic" you won't see it.

thank you very much! now i found it it was next to quote and multi quote and qick reply!

still not seeing it

You see the yellow "Post Reply" button?
Look at the opposite side of the screen, INSIDE the previous post on the topic. The first button you see is the "Thanks" button, befor "Quote", "Multi-Quote" and "Quick Reply"

its on the right side where the quote button is.
hope this helps.

Tanks button
svetius posted in another thread that you won't see the button until you have made 1 post.

[REQUEST]Like button

I don't know how many people will agree with me but there definately should be a "Like" button just as it is on facebook where you can like comments. There should be a Like Meter as well just below "Thanks" meter or somewhere, which would show whether this person makes useful comments or not.
dude xda is not a facebook and the thanks button is already enough
Thats why you have a thanks button.

I might be going crazy....

...but I can't find the thanks button anywhere. Could someone point it out to me? I would like to thank a few people. Whoever answers this will also get one. Thanks!
Its at the bottom of a post,to the right, you will see a "thanks","quote","multi-quote" and a "quick reply" button. Here i'll thank you.

Also, it won't show up if:
1 - you already thanked the person for that post
2- you hit up the 8 thanks count for the day; in which it'll return the next day
If looking for it on the mobile app it is only on the premium app.
Look at the picture, you'll see it lol
Thanks everyone. I was on my computer, but I wasn't logged in so that's why...

[Q] A question on multiquote and how to turn it off

Hi, I've not found anything that relates to my problem so I'm hoping I can get some clarification here.
I seem to have got stuck in Multiquote mode. I think I pressed it one day and now everything I do will add to the same post, ie. it gets multiquoted.
The way I understood it, if you press 'Multiquote' then it will ... uhm ... multiquote. If you press 'Reply' it won't.
Currently it doesn't matter if I press reply it still gets added to the same post. So the question is, is this a toggle and if so how do I turn it off and more importantly, if it's a toggle is there any indication which mode I am currently in?
Multi-quote allows you to reply to multiple people in the same post. You can quote several posts simultaneously. You reply by either clicking on "reply" or "quick reply."
Looks like you received your answer, but Moved for assistance. Thank You
I don't think clicking quick reply after multi quoting works..Though, I am not sure about it, i forgot.
However, pressing "Reply" after multi quoting works for sure

Thanks it seems to work in this thread. I'll just have to test it out in the thread I'm having problems in.

Need help with twrp

Hey need help I made a back up before I flashed a rom I want to restore the back up but its not showing in restore. But i see it when i check the sd card. My question is, is there something special I need to do to restore my back up

Do you remember if you made the backup onto the external sd or internal storage? Try changing that option at the top when your at the restore screen since it may have been switched by accident.
Twrp isn't seeing the sdcard known bug. Transfer the backup to the actual phone memory and proceed to restoring
If you've been helped hit the "Thanks" button.
I put it in the Internal sd I moved it to the external but it still dose show

Seriously. I pressed every button I could find (I may have accidentally reported you, sorry)
All I see is -
date / time / post # / report button
your Avatar / Username / online status / rank /Join date / location / carrier
A folder icon(says default when hovering)
Your text
Your Signature
Quote / Multi-quote
I found no way to thank you or anybody else. I did find how to PM, add, ignore, profile or find your posts. The closest thing I found was rating the whole thread.

<--- You don't see the big Thanks button at the lower left of every post? The one with the big thumbs up on it?

No. Let me try a different browser.
Interesting, on I.E. I get the Thanks button. I also see a Twitter, FaceBook and Google+ button too.
Unfortunately, I like FireFox too much. I will thank both of you in the other browser.

Weird, I only use Firefox and I've always seen all of the buttons. Maybe you have an ad blocker of some kind that is preventing it from being displayed.

I turned off all my Ad Blockers and reloaded the page. I also cleared the cache to be sure. It still doesn't show up.
Thanks, I was really just curious where that button was that I kept seeing being referenced to.
I will make sure to open XDA in I.E. to give thanks when needed.

Does Anyone Else Find The "Quick Reply" Button Redundant?

It's supposed to be quick right? But it's the exact same amount of button clicks (one) as adding a new reply via the other button when on other vB setups no click is required. The page has to refresh one less time but the whole process isn't "quick" at all if you ask me.
Just my 2 cents...
I think the quick reply button is actually quicker..In the new reply, it loads whole other page taking lot of time in slow connections while in quick reply, no matter on which section of thread you are, just clicking the button would take you directly to the quick reply text box
Cheers,
AJ
It doesn't take you to another page, and it's accessible from any post (and not only the top or bottom of the page). That's pretty quick, especially for longer threads (or when you're viewing more than 10 posts at once).
