This is my first post. I wana know how to install j2me apps on defy as gsm arena says that this phone support MIDP 2.0
I tried to install j2me app through file manager but got the error. Please help me install same

Theres an app in the Market called J2ME java runner, its pretty good.

You can use one of those possibilities:
http://microemu.blogspot.com/2009/08/converting-javame-applications-to.html
http://www.upontek.com/ or
http://www.netmite.com/android/index.html
or simply look if there is an apk avaliable for those apps...
You can't run .jar files natively as android uses dalvik and not the usual java vm.

Hey guys, got me a advent amico Android 2.1 tablet, and I can't install anything as it does not have the Android market.

We can get the application by installing SAM 4.3 from Slideme.org , as of now i am able to locate this only for installing the applications.

I flashed 3.4.2-177 Nordic deblur and I can not install Gmail from the Android Market. It freaks me out. Using the web interface, it always says "This application is not available in your country".
Why is that and how the hell can I fox This since I seen to be stuck with version 2.3.2 now...

download market enabler, change to 'another' country, i.e. T-Mobile US and restart market. you should be able to download apps from US
Hi people. Was just hoping for a little help. I am using cyanogenmod for the desire and it does not have the market app installed after flashing. Found out that is something to do with memory whilst flashing (any other ideas welcome). As I can't install using file systems, I need to push via adb. As I am a novice could some one explaine how to do this. Much appreciated.
You have to flash google apps after flashing ROM.

How come that I cannot install Free Zone WIFI?
It says it is not compatible with my device but only requires Android 2.1.
I have installed CM9. So there should be no compatibility issues.
Can anyone install this app?

There must be a particluar criteria for android versions and phones. E.g if processor, gpu etc better than it will have better android version. Ours wildfire is not that good therfore only Froyo is compatible officially.
Even if u install JB, u wont be able to install apps that are for JB only. And i dont think that app will work perfect.

Well, try to find its apk if u can. Maybe an older version and you can give it a try.

That's not my fault. Maybe the apps aren't optimized to work with Jellybean
