So before i said my phone had trouble with Odin, but now it works up to factoryfs.rfs and then stops and the screen just changes to a random color, navy blue, yellow, light green, green, blue.
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!?!?!?!?!?:'(

You might want to try and redownload the file again. This happened to me once and I guess it was a bad download. What are you trying to Odin from and to?
I had this same problem on my Captivate, not going to even pretend I know what was going on, but after trying 5 or 6 times it finally worked all the way through. As you say, odin gets to flashing factoryfs and quits real early or halfway through and gives you a random solid color screen.. Eventually it just went though.
Right now its at modem and the bar is full but its not saying anything? any suggestions as to what is happening?
Sorry for Double Post
BUT YES ITS FINALLY WORKED!!!!!!
Glad it finally worked, it could have been the cable or usb port also. Aparently the sammy default cord is pretty bad. I only use that one for charging.

Okay, so something I installed in the extra CAB packs in the Touch Pro2 thread has caused my stupid LED light to flash upon reboot and not STOP flashing for at least 5 minutes and sometimes it NEVER stops.
If I ever had that issue on any other phones, I was able to use the NueLED program to rese the LED. Well, that doesn't work here and there is no specific rhyme or reason.
I have no voice mail messages, I have no unread email or txts, no missed calls... and these are the only things that cause the damn light to work anyway!
I don't want to have to do another stupid hard reset to get this working. Damn!!
Thoughts?
Tried soft reset?
what color is it flashing? if it is red its because your battery is below 20%.
If you are charging it and it gets overheated, it flashes green and orange.
Mine overheated yesterday while running WMWifiRouter for about 30 minutes while charging.
OHHHhhh....

Hey everybody,
I have a problem with my phone. The blue notification led is constantly on. However I never tried to get it working, I just on day picked up my phone and it was on. I have a completly stock android device, so I don't know how it happend.
I've sent it to HTC to repair it, but they completly screwed up. First on my ticket it mentioned my problems i had with my phone (it also continously thought it was on a headset so didn't use the speaker and mic of the phone, that is now fixed) However a few days later it said symptom not available, but i figured since it was on there before they should have it. Well got it back after two weeks (was done after a week but they left it lying there for a week :S) And saw on the repair form they sent with it that they didn't have symtom available when they started testing, during the testing they found that the sound wasn't working (they aparently found it not odd that a blue notification led was on all the time :S) and as repair it said: Device is returned unrepaired :S:S
well the sound is now fixed so I can at least use the phone, but the constant blue led still annoys me. I now have tried to fix it by flashing this generic rom: RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe
but that didn't solve it.
Can any of you please help, I don't want to loose my phone for another two weeks?
I know that one of the developers has developed a program which allows people to use the led (and also send him a pm, but no reply yet), so maybe there are some other people which also looked into it which can help me.
Sounds like a defective mother board to me. Maybe a solder isssue with the circuits around the LED. Take it back and demand a new device.
Update: Just re-examined the package they sent it in and found out that they apparently found moisture damage and hence it is no longer under warranty. I never got it wet so wtf.
Edit update 2: Just installed the desireled programme of chaosR and noticed that the blue led that is constantly on on my phone is less bright then when i toggle the blue led on.
No one else knows anything?

As suggested before, it sounds like a fault on the board, which could have been caused by moisture damage. There are tiny moisture stickers inside the device that change colour when exposed to moisture. High humidity can cause these to change colour when exposed for a period of time.
I can see two moisture stickers (one on battery and one below it on the motherboard) and both of them are still white.
Use the adb or terminal emulator to disable to blue led. U will find it somewhere in the desire android development somewhere

I tried that first turned it on with:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/leds-microp/leds/blue/brightness
It became brighter then before
Then i typed
echo 0 > /sys/devices/platform/leds-microp/leds/blue/brightness
And it went back to the way it was (so not completly off)
(i used better terminal emulator for this)
Just out of curiosity, what is the blue LED meant to show? Never seen it on my Desire.

It isn't supposed to be on ever. That is the weird part about it. Someone else also noticed that they had it and they wrote a programme to use it: see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=700418&page=1
but I never used that app or tried to get the blue led to work and therefore it is so odd that it is on, constantly.

It definately sounds like a hardware fault; the only way to fix would be to return it to HTC. Did you ask them why they said it was water damage - even though the paper strips are still white?
not yet, guess i will do that today, but I'm not expecting any useful info, will probably be along the lines of we have our ways of determining that.
Called them today and they sent me the following picture, but the quality is kinda crap. And the picture could be of just any phone, but yeah i guess they would not do that or they would have a lot of complaints.

Just for the fun of it, run echo 0 on red, amber, green etc also. Does it darken even further or same?
You might also check if you've got other control directories by running "find | grep leds" with su. I've got it, but the other dir does not control anything.
My two dir's on DeFrost 1.7c ROM.
Code:
[B]/sys/devices/12c-0/0-0066/leds/[/B]* (red, blue, amber, green)
/sys/class/leds/* (red, blue, amber, green)

Looks like water/rain or something has entered the headphone socket. If its a short on the pcb which i am sure it is, you will not be able to fix this by tweaking the LED settings.
So i have good news and bad news. The good news is my blue led notification led is off (although i have no idea why, it just happend) However, the bad news is that my other problem is back again, my cellphone thinks that it is constantly connected to my headphones, so no sound and no microphone without plugging in my headphones so my phone is pretty much no phone
It is clearly short circuits on your motherboard. The only solution is to get it repaired as suggested previous. The longer it is left, the more corrosion will build up!

After the latest handcent update, the default setting on the notification led is set to continiuos blue. Just go to handcent settings -> notification settings -> blink led/ colour led, and set your desired settings.
I don't if this will help you, but it did it for me
Howdy all,
I've been having a bit of a strange issue these last few days. I'm thinking the LED might be on the fritz. I'm not sure I can be bothered reverting to a telstra rom and sending in for warranty over a blinking light, but if I could fix it myself I would be wrapped.
I awoke the other morning to find my phone had no led showing. That's weird I thought, is it still plugged in? Sure is. So I did'nt think too much of it, until it did it again the following morning. I've since downloaded blink and tried a few different colors, and it seems only red is working. If I test with blue or green the notification doesn't flash at all. It will flash when red is selected for test, it also flashes when yellow and when purple is selected, though the color is the same as when red is selected, so it seems it is stuck on one color only. Can anyone suggest anything at all I might try. I had a poke around in terminal emulator in /sys/class/leds or whatever it was to no avail.
Is my notification led dead? Seems odd, thought they were supposed to live forever.
Figured I would give this one one last try. Anyone have any idea at all? Issue has persisted across multiple roms. I think its stuffed
so this is the problem that i'm having. The led light at the top right hand side won't Turn off even after I unplug it from the charger. I was ruining

Have you tried turning off the phone?
Turn off the phone, pull out the battery, let it sit for a minute or two. Put battery back in and seenif its still happening.
Do you have any apps that manipulate/ color your LED if a certain peraon is calling, etc?
i pulled the battery and it did not fix the problem. i am going to remove some apps i recently installed to see if that is the issue
its a common problem.. mostly due to USB port on the phone. Try clean it out with wait or a toothpick.
Where you playing around with led apps? Like no led or led color picker and other stuff like that? I had that issue after using those apps. I think i ended up clearing data/cache for those apps and uninstalling.
If all else fails, a restore of a recent backup should work.

I haven't messed with any of those type of apps. I have never downloaded any of those LED apps.
I recently wiped cache and dalvik-cache before flashing on the new BLAZER rom (I am coming from calkulins and wanted to try something new) and the LED is still lit. Any clues? Do you think i should just go and uninstall all my applications? or should i take your last suggestion and restore to a recent backup?
Clean the charging port out with a toothbrush. Worked for me. I got some gunk in the charging port and the led would stay on and it would go into MTP all the time.

There is most likely corrosion in the charging port. If you look in the port and there is green or white, its corrosion.

there shouldnt be any corrosion. i got the phone in november. they owe me a free one if thats the case. sorry, im just hoping your wrong about the corrosion
I hope not too, but it usually happens on your charger and transfers to your phone and you don't notice it.
I am in the same boat as you in terms of tryin out blazer. I ran across a bunch of issues there. Try going back to calk backup and see if it fixes it.
Don't get me wrong, I believe in phantom hacker, but it seems like v3.9 is full of bugs...
Im not sure about the corrision thing, but it sounds like you have a corrupt file in your rom. I suggest trying a different rom, downloading to a pc to make sure its good. Do a FULL wipe, and flash new rom... The issue SHOULD go away...
Ok lets clear the air. The LED issue is not due to the new Blazer rom or Calkulins. I just did a full wipe and flash of Calkulin 2.8 and the LED (red) light is still on. I have ZERO apps on the phone. Fresh wipe. I think I may unroot it (going to have to search out how to do this) and take it into Sprint (I've had the phone for less than 4 months).
Note- earlier tonight the LED light turned off (this was before the full wipe and flash back to calkulins) but my battery was at low so I had to charge it. Upon charging it the light would not turn off. Suspect its a hardware problem?
To repeat. I do not think my issue has anything to do with Blazer ROM or Calks
My wife has a One V (through US Cellular, stock, non-rooted) and for the last week or so, the green LED has been constantly flashing. The orange charging status notification overrides the green, but the green starts up again as soon as it is unplugged. It doesn't matter if there are notifications or not, and it continues even when all of the LED notifications are disabled in the menu. I've tried resetting the phone, and that doesn't make a difference.
Have any of you had this issue, and if so, is there a way to remedy the problem? It's not a huge deal, but it is annoying.
maybe a factory reset will help
