Need a hand - myTouch 3G Slide Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone want to help me port a ROM from an LG phone over to the Slide?

I couldn't offer any help, but I am curious as to which LG rom you are referring to?
I also have the LG and Slide.

Can anyone tell me is this method works on the G2 2.3.3, and if do how exactly do you use it. Thanks in advance.

Method for what? If it's a root method, the only recommended way is posted in the wiki here an on CM.

Its a root method not for g2. I know it was first used on evo 3d and some others, but not for this phone....should of been obvious if you searched at all

Grow up and read the forum rules; search first, no name calling, keep it clean ... you've failed at those three alone.

Porting Touchwiz features to AOSP?

Is this possible? I heard Samsung has their features closed source, but i dont know if that is true.
If it is true has anybody find a way to do it?
is there a guide to do this?
If this is possible this would be great for a rom.
I believe there are developers already working on this. Hope it comes soon. Check developing forms

Rooted Evo dead.
Rooted Evo shift dead.
Rooted Galaxy s3 alive and well!
I remember there was a way before. Idk if they patched that up so it won't be used.

Lol harsh but i agree if your gonna port everything from the s4 to your phone you might as well just buy the phone. I rather go with custom ****.

Why reply to posts if your not going to help. Maybe the devs should make a room for ignorant ppl to go to and complain about someone trying to accomplish a tweek. Isn't that the whole idea behind technology? If your not going to help, don't post. Anyway I have a s4 on its way. Will see if I can't port the app for you. Anything else you like in the s4 software?

Port LG Spectrum 2 rom(ask)

Could someone with porting skills port the jelly bean ROM of lg spectrum 2 we have the same graphics and processor. Would it be easy? Or hard? I love the way lg device ui looks and I don't know how to do it myself.

would love to see this, LGs skin is beautiful!

It would be a great idea. I would install the ROM in a heartbeat if it was made

you should move this to a developer forum so people who make ROMs can see it

Really a bad idea..

will this never happen?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
It's a nice idea and all, but this will likely never happen. With a ton of work you MIGHT be able to get a proof of concept that merely boots, but has zero functionality. We would need proprietary LG drivers (as well as a way to either change them to run on the S3 or rewrite them from the ground up), frameworks and someone who knows both Samsung and LG code inside and out to even have an extremely small chance of this happening.
