Rooting SGH-T989?

Is rooting the t-mobile samsung galaxy s2 SGH-T989 the same concept of rooting the sprint samgsung galaxy s2 sph-D710? Does the sim card affect rooting process or is it thr same concept? Download mode and odin.....

I have done both and really its pretty much the same. Do not use roms from one for the other though. Also idk how but they have radios from completely different phones. Like the note. You may want to ask in their forums if you run into problems though. The only thing I had a problem with was contacts and that was only on aosp roms.

Porting Touchwiz features to AOSP?

Is this possible? I heard Samsung has their features closed source, but i dont know if that is true.
If it is true has anybody find a way to do it?
is there a guide to do this?
If this is possible this would be great for a rom.:laugh:

WiFi calling on aokp tOlte unofficial ROM?

Is this feature in my ROM or am I missing something ? Can't seem to locate it in settings
As you would normally find it in stock touch wiz ROM.I kinda need it due to weak cell signal in my area .

It is only on tw based ROMs and only tmo based. Also on a side note, please try searching a bit before starting threads. You've made multiple threads asking very easily searched questions. This one is a prime example as there is even a bounty trying to get a dev to get it working. Not trying to be harsh, just wanting to help you get the most out if xda.

Port LG Spectrum 2 rom(ask)

Could someone with porting skills port the jelly bean ROM of lg spectrum 2 we have the same graphics and processor. Would it be easy? Or hard? I love the way lg device ui looks and I don't know how to do it myself.

It's a nice idea and all, but this will likely never happen. With a ton of work you MIGHT be able to get a proof of concept that merely boots, but has zero functionality. We would need proprietary LG drivers (as well as a way to either change them to run on the S3 or rewrite them from the ground up), frameworks and someone who knows both Samsung and LG code inside and out to even have an extremely small chance of this happening.

Does this exist htc one cam port to s4

Might be a reasonable question or maybe not...but ia there any type of port for the One camera ui or anything that resembles some of the features to the S4?
Or even a rom port. .. I know I seem a htc one rom port being recently tested on the s3 lte variant. ... is there anything like this for the s4 .

Infact im far from a noob and just may have overlooked the thread..I dont just ask anything before I look , just cause u know dont be typical lookin for a egoe boost cause u can remark any way with me .I aint the one for it.
