[Q] Which Version doesn not Have 99% CPU Bug - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys,
I really love the roms out there, and i really love my DHD with those running. It's so smooth, it's even compare-able to an iPhone4 (I'm an android boy, but i have to admin, iPhone 4 ist very much fast then any andorid device (at least stock ones)...
but i really get annoyed from this F*** cpu bug, restart the device on daily base, or at least all 2-3 days...
i really can't do this, so can you please provide me with some rom versions (don't even mind if those are older ones)
as long as i have a fast responsive phone.. which DOESN't have to reboot all the time...
thx howdi
addon: enabling USB debugging never worked for me
Summary:
----FIRST ROM: (no bug, tested) I'm currently running: LeeDrOiD V2.3.4 BETA 4 R2 | 11th March | GingerBread w/Sense 2.1 (works perfectly fast, with LauncherPro)

It can be said it's only a froyo issue (2.2) like the forth and the first rom, they're gingerbread one's so, no problem there

I found the latest Leedroid ROM to be super fast while retaining the stock features (eg sense). It's worth flashing the latest kernel from his thread too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842802
Also, you can enable USB debugging to get around that CPU bug, if it's the one I'm thinking of

Latest Android Revolution HD 3.2 has fix for the problem.

[Q] Best rom? Revolution 2.0.8 vs CM6 vs CM7

As title says..what do you think is the best ROM? and why? I have finally rooted the DHD and I want to try something new
Pls suggests me
thanks in advance for the answers
Can't really comment on Android revolution as I have never used it, don't like sense and hadn't realised there was a no sense option.
Cm 6 is great and the latest release is very stable, but...
Cm 7 brings gingerbread I have had no stability issues, and have been running it since the builds where unofficially compiled from source, current nightly builds are great.
But everyone has different needs / likes, I have been a CM fan since I first installed it on my HTC Magic and it suits me, give Android revolution a go and see what you think you've nothing to lose except your time
yea you can't compare those roms
sense vs. clean 2.2 vs. clean 2.3
depending on what u prefer
some like sense, some like a full stable 2.2, some like to play test person and use 2.3 nightly
I used PNK22 for my day to day rom. For a time had no real problems with it other then no camara yet, this was and still is the only reason i am not using it today..

good
just a question..there's update manager or something like this in the CM7?
I mean, if I install build 18 then build 19 is released how can I upgrade?
download it from thread and flash or use rom manager (the paid version) to get notified and download it on your mobile + update

by simply installing the zip, you dont need to wipe anything as long as only a small amount has changed. Using rom manager or rebooting into recovery and installing zip with that will work.
but, if there is a large change you will need to wipe data etc. Just make sure you dont wipe your sd card
can someone give me a link to the "stable" version of cm7? the development forum is a bit confusing cause there are too many links of CM7 and I can't understand the one you are talking about
h t t p ://mirror.teamdouche.net/?device=ace
There is not yet a stable ROM of CM7 for Desire HD.
I'm running Nightly Build #14 smoothly.
Greetz
i loved CM7, but i also liked the integration with sense so i went with revolution, but i prefer the gingerbread keyboard
I'm currently running Android Revolution 2.0.8 with a few customisations of my own and I love it. That said I can't use a ROM which doesn't have Sense UI.
If I could put up with not having the additions that Sense UI adds to a ROM, I'd probably be using a CM7 nightly.
It's Revolution 2.0.9 now (fast developer ), but I find this best for my needs personally. It's all about individuality, so try each one you like the look of and stick with the one that works best for you.

best Android 2.3 + Sense Rom

Hello guys,
I can't decide which Android 2.3 + Sense Rom I should flash on my DHD.
there are the following Roms to choose:
- LeeDroid HD 2.3.4 beta 3
- CoreDroid V4
- Android Revolution HD 4.0 beta 1
- VillainRom 2.0.1
- RCMix HD 4.2
Which Rom did you choose and why did you choose it ???
Thanks very much
VillainROM because Nathan, the maker of it, made also many very excellent ROMs for the HTC Hero and so I trust him that he'll also make good ROMs for Desire HD.
i had leedroid 2.2 and it worked fine. then i wiped my phone and installed leedroid 2.3, but only part of sense showed up on my phone! really weird. then i flased RCmix 2.3 and it works brilliant!
you mean RCMix HD 4.2, right ??
If you MUST use Sense (I dont know why...) The Beta ARHD 4.0 is your best bet. Its a good experience so far.
That said, I am a CM7 User, and I hate Sense, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
I had the same question some time ago and it's often a thing of personal decision. So you probably will have to try for yourself. All the ROMs have good performance.
I'm using Revo HD because it looks like stock but with nice tweaks.

Only reason that I use sense is because I like some of the Sense apps(Dialer and messaging mainly)
I'd Choose either of Revolution or Leedroid , both are gr8 roms, the others listed Tbh i havent flashed those on my DHD so can't really give my opinion on those tilli try em out. i've used leedroid since v.1.5 and its been my personal fave one to use daily.

Actually I am concerned about the daily usability of the different builds and if it's worth to jump to gingerbread seen the source is a leaked build probably in very early stage. I would like to try it but I feel so confortable with AR3 ... Please someone tell me I would not regret it

You could always back up your rom before flashing ?
I would obviously do it, but I am so lazy that was wondering if this rom is worth it ... I promise I'll do my homeworks and let you know here if it is
Android Revolution HD 4.0 beta 1 without a doubt.
Beta 2 out tomorrow so maybe you should wait for that one to flash.

Any idea what time beta 2 is being released?? Im looking forward to going to Gingerbread but am completely reliant on my phone for work and dont have a spare so want it to be as stable and have everything working before i take the plunge!! Also does anyone know if the GB roms can be overclocked yet and which radio should be used??
Thanks in advance!!
Nevermind, just checked and Beta 2 is OUT NOW!!!!
I am using leedroid 2.3.4 beta 4 r2. The reason i'm running this is that i have used his leedroid vesion on my phone since i bought it, and that he is very quick with updates and fixes. Also lee's rom is always lightning fast!

What version of 'RCMix S' do you currently have?

Hello RCMix S' Users!
We all know and love the legendary ROM developer on XDA 'Robocik' and we all appreciate his hardwork and commitment that he puts into it. Thank you Sir!
....
I want to know what version of 'RCMix S ROM' you currently have installed and why, so please participate in the Poll and leave your comments below!
Danke!
I had it like last week so does that count? I had 1.5 but moved to 1.4 because of the lag and crap. On MIUI now.
1.6 updated with latest SMS, Lockscreen, Weather and Camera. Fast, Lag-free, stable and above all Awesome.
I have 1.6.1. I wanted to upgrade to 1.6.2 but stuck on bootloop for 15min so I restored back to 1.6.1. Should I do a wipe cache and dalvik cache before upgrading to 1.6.2?
Tried the 1.4 and 1.6.1 but went away with other stable build. Currently with InsertCoin 1.0.4 stable.
I will go back to RCMix S if there is a stable build where maps is working with the sense 3.0 lockscreen with icons
1.4 with new lockscreen removed.
perfect! Fast, stable and great battery life.
Cm7 with data moved to SD\EXT-loads of app space and no decrease in speed using class 6 memory card.
The end of the road for a compulsive flasher i think! (Probably not!!)
I am trying to keep pace with robo, so I use the latest RCMix S available, as long as no full wiping is recommended.
Regards,
chrrh...
i am running 1.7.2, everything works fine so far. but not the compass.

Have you noticed any bugs? I believe quick battery drain and slow charging are also a problem.
I'm still using v1.1 as its stable as a rock and does not contain the bugs in the latest versions...

[Q] Jelly Bean Rom for everyday use

The title of thread says it all. What JB based rom is best for now, for everyday usage, if any? I'm using seb's AIO 6.1.1. and I'm very satisfied, but now I would like to try something newer. Than you.
Jelly Bean and Everyday Use doesn't come in pair, for now.
Unless you're fine with glitchy camera, broken camcorder, not working flash, 3G/GPS issues, not working USB tethering / wifi hotspot.
Obviously it doesn't have Butter either, which is main JB improvement.

vijendrahs's miui jelly bean rom seems very stable. the only issue I have faced, you should activate the a2sd script.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1850436
I think you should try and decide for yourself. Many of the JB roms seem to be based on Nikez roms. Nikez has got a matrix of what is working and not working in his web site.
I used Nikez for some time. I liked it. It has got its plus and minus. I loved the soft keys(my keys have started acting up). GB does not have soft keys. But I missed the status bar toggles especially the 2G/3G. I had to switch because for some reason I could not restore nandroids. It doesnt seem to happen to everybody. And of course the constant wiping, installing and setting up tired me out finally.
i use paranoid Android hybrid 2.20, modified a little by myself with int4ext, smooth and stable.camera preview kind of work. customMTD repart system 220mb ,so i have more data.

I use since yesterday [ROM/4.1.2] [Oct 19 2012] CM10 | Jelly Bean 4.1.2 - v1.0. This Rom ist fantastic:good:. There are some little Bugs but this is 1.0.
Update should come...
How about for the CDMA version of the Desire? Any recommendations?

I like very much the JB:CM10:HYBRID, which is based on evervolv with CM10 settings and paranoid android mode.
I find it as stable as Nikez (it is based on the same code anyway) and it is updated every few days.
Any new suggestion now?

For daily work I'm using PARANOIDANDROID v3.10b2
very stable, no soft reboots for me
I use the slim Rom 1.0. This is indeed Android 4.1.2 but this Rom is stable so far. My Problem is the Softreboot after deinstalling app (not always).
This has many features. I love this :fingers-crossed:

Lucky boy!..but on the log it's written that a lot of stuff aren't working.."Stock camera, preview is tearing, open "recents" and tap on camera and it should be fine
Stock videocam is choppy
Tethering
SMS Quick-reply shortcuts might cause reboots
Long-press home doesn't work"
is it true or not?

Fully agree with that recommendation.
Furthermore I would gladly refer VJ CM10.1 | Jelly Bean 4.2.2 - v6.0 Stock/Sense/Data++ to be worth y try :good:

- Improved Hardware Acceleration

Are there differences in terms of speed between the two rom ?

I'm back! (with the device and some questions)

Hi, I'm back and I got my Desire Z back. Running Andromadus build 12, and I have some questions.
What is the best recovery out there? (I have goomanager installed and I would like to have TWRP, but I'm scared it isn't compatible)
Fastest ROM? I noticed that latest 4.2 builds isn't so fast, even with oc to 1.4 GHz, which worked fine with Virtuous Unity.
A lot have changed, you got camera working on Sense 4.0 and a lot of full Sense 4.0/4.1 ROMs.
I can be a ROM alpha/beta tester (I'm not afraid of bricks).
(Yes, this is a useless thread )

I use CM7, I used JB in a while, and it lagged more than Sense
I tried all the Senses and found (at least for me) Gen's Sense 4.0A was the best, and while it was useable for a DD, I still found lag in bringing up both phone and text messages, so back to GB I went.
