I have flashed my Mozart from orange UK windows phone 7004 to HTC europe 1.30 WP 7389, and now the phone won't stay synced with zune, it will sync around 20 songs each time before it disconnects. All software is up to date and this is happening with both Windows 7 and XP SP3. Anyone else having this issue? Anyone got any ideas how to solve this. It does seem to stay connected is you use the phone continually whilst syncing. It worked fine with the 7004 build.

Problem is quite simple, vista rarely (lets say once in 10 days) "see" the connected BA, since I dont need much of syncing I didnt investigate that too much but if someone solved the problem I would appreciate eventual help.
(its WM6)
ty & BR to community !
suprisingly BA synced with the vista like the charm when I used BT...
Had so much problems with BT sync before with XP and WM 2003 and 5 that I didnt even think about trying that with vista
Anyway BT sync works GREAT for me (WM6 and Vista) and that is the nice solution.
Do you use the Windows Vista cync centre, or do you still have to use activesync?
In my experience both the cync centre and Windows Vista have no problem seeing my blue angel, but when I change any of my contact/task/calendar information, even though it looks like the two are syncing, no changes are made to either device as necessary.
hi, its was an old issue but as far as i could remember, i used to install nod 32 internet security suite which had firewall inside (wasnt mentioned anywhere in the installation) which silently blocked my BA sync... found it by pure coincidence, after the uninstall everthing synced perfectly...
Hi there,
A post in desperation for some assistance.....
Our company has 15 x i780s with ROM MSHE2. They all work with activesync and securID to collect mail from our Exchange 2003 server.
I recently purchased an additional 5 x i780s that came with PMSHL1 out of the box. These seem to have Windows Mobile 6.1 instead of Windows Mobile 6 as the older ones have.
This difference is causing the problem. When activesync is started, the SecurID screen prompts for credentials, but then nothing happens. Sometimes the SecurID screen is re-displayed, sometimes not - but the activesync never gets going for some reason.
Can anyone identify what changes microsoft have made in order that I can try to diagnose this problem? RSA (SecurID) have simply said that they haven't tested with wm6.1 and therefore they won't help.
I guess a solution could be to downlgrade the new phones if that's possible?
Many thanks for any comments!
I'm running the official version of WM6.5 on my T-Mobile HTC Rhodium. For some reason, every time I try to sync my device with WMDC 6.1 my computer freezes. It's getting really frustrating. I know for a fact that with WM6.1 there's an option to turn off accelerated data transfer so that the computer doesn't freeze, but WM6.5 is a bit...different...
I'm running Windows 7 Pro, btw
Help! and thanks in advance!
I have just moved from a T-Mobile TouchPro2 (US Model) to an Orange TouchPro 2 (UK Model).
The T-Mobile was WM6.1 and the Orange is WM6.5 and both ROM's are stock.
On the T-Mobile ROM I was able to sync my Contacts & Calender with my works issue XP laptop running Outlook 2007.
When I set up my new Orange TP2 on the same laptop everything worked fine for about 3 days. Now when I connect I get a message saying I will only be able to view files etc. No sync is available and the message goes on to advise me to install MS Outlook. Of course Oulook has not been removed.
I deleted the sync partnership on the TP2 and tried again with no success. I re-installed activesysnc and this worked but only for about 5 connections. I now get the same message.
I still have my T-Mobil TP2 and did some testing with that but I can not get it to fail. When I retest with the Orange TP2 it fails within 5 syncs attempts.
Is this a known bug in WM6.5? I have searched the forums and there is a lot of info regarding problems syncing to Exchange (Push mail) but I do not use that service or connect in that way.
Any help appriciated.
does no one else see this problem?
I've noticed a similar issue when connecting my Tilt2 to my Windows 7 laptop. It will sometimes only connect once per boot. In other words I can plug it in and it will connect. But when I unplug and replug, it will make the little "USB Connect" sound but not actually connect. After rebooting, it will connect again.
Windows Vista and 7 use a slightly different method of syncing than XP (Windows Mobile Device Center). I've noticed that if I set up a named partnership in WMDC it seems to give more reliable connections.
I'm not sure that really helps your situation but at least know that you're not alone in sync wonkiness.
Similar problem running Activesync 4.5 on old Windows 2000 work laptop (don't ask ) Current ROM NRGY Phoenix 2 16 Jan 21889 Titanium build. Seems to be specific to some ROMs, but cannot for sure say which branch works better for Activesync.
It doesn't appear to be a common problem. But since I had never seen it before I started using WM6.5 I was sure it was a bug in the ROM. It's a real pain in the ass when it happens as you have to delete the sync partnership on the phone before it will reconnect. Then you have to set up all your favorite contacts and speed dials all over agin. I have just started a new job here and I am adding 3 or 4 new conacts every day at the moment so couldn't have happened at worse time. Might be time to try a cooked ROM.
TP2 Activesunc won't recognize Outlook - WM6.5
Have had this same problem now for over a month. Have been syncing Activesync v4.5 with WM6.5 on TP2 for over a year previously. Transitioned from MSO-2003 to MSO-2007 with no sync issues. Fresh install of MSO-2010 and TP2 will mo longer recognize that my computer has MS-Office installed. have not found solution anywhere to date. Appreciate any updates from other with any solutions ....
Regards,
My TP2 will not sync with my note book with any rom but energy rom 28014 17th dec 2009. or DA_g rom 28205 30th dec 2009.
i have tried all the tricks, remove the Windows Mobile Device Ctr, re load Windows Mobile Device Ctr...
hard rest my device...
i can get connected to my notebook, however the sync never start... if i force it from pda or PC it will try for a long time and then error...
can some one help me out please...
solved i changed back the the older radio..
i have windows 7 ultimate 64 and i had to download the new drivers. then it worked fine.
sync works for me on 2 different win7 machines. you might have a firewall issue.
I can confirm that the issue is not Windows 7. I use two different computers with Windows 7 32-bit. (One is an Apple Macbook Pro). There could be a lot of reasons for your lack of connection. Did you reboot yet?. Do you have another machine to test the sync just to narrow it down to the device versus the computer?
When you "tried all the tricks" did that include the USB-to-PC settings on the phone?
Settings>Connections>USB-to-PC then un-check "Ask me about USB connection" and maybe (can't hurt) un-check "Enable faster data connection"?
These are well-known (and not always necessary), but just thought I'd mention them anyway.
guys it sync with one.. eh two roms but the rest it do not do anything, PDA is connected to the PC but do not sync at all.. rebood, hard reset, remove partnerships.... i have even stopped all the other startup services on my PC....
sounds crazy... but its happening... only energy 17th dec and da_g 5th jan roms are working....
i have fleshed the roms few times each... last thing i will do is to reload my windoas 7 as my notebook its upgrade OS so need to load the vista first and then windaows 7...

Interesting...USB connectivity is part of the radio package? Can anybody confirm/refute that?
