I'll be using my phone any way(texting, xda, game) and all of a sudden it'll say in the notification bar "4g disconnected." I dont have 4g in my area so i never turn it on. My phone has about 5 times so far turned on 4g by itself. I never hit the clear button in the notification drawer, so im not accidently hitting 4g there. Has this happened to you? Suggestions as to what yo do?

thats a little strange. it hasn't happened to me at all. and if your signature is accurate its even more unusual because you havent done anything in your phone. maybe an app is toggling it? i know juicedefender can but you have to set it up so it does i believe.
Maybe all those notifications your not clearing are turnin it on for fun after all I would get kinda bored if I was closed in a virtual drawer.
Sorry that wasnt helpful but I couldnt resist

Yes, my sig is accurate. I do have JuiceDefender installed, but its not set to do that, and its logs don't say that its doing it either.

I haven't heard of/experienced this at all myself. But I bet if you try Juice Defender from the market, it'll be able to keep your wifi off. No idea why it's happening though.
I had the same problem. It was cause by my battery meter app. Try uninstalling and using a different one.

Hey guys, got a question. Has anyone run into the issue of their data randomly getting stuck, with just the upload arrow illuminated? When I'm using the hotspot feature, this happens much more frequently.

Yes! Wow I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but yeah I get the same bug on rare occasion.... quite rare.
Fix is to toggle airplane mode as this resets the radio. Juggernaut statusbar toggles ftw.

Yeah, I switch between "GSM/WCDMA" and "WCDMA only" when this happens. It's a real pain. I downloaded a 2.1-2.2GB program while I was at 4.44GB used and T-Mobile said I used about 30 megs as far as they know...seems to happen more when I get closer to 5 gigs, I dunno, maybe they're onto me xP

Leave network settings in auto mode and try enabling and disabling airplane mode. This always fixes it for me. I have encountered this bug on multiple devices after tethering. Happens less on the t989 because tethering is native (probably).

I've had this happen to my T-mo SGII and Sensation...just stuck in upload and any other data requests (Web, email...) are null when this is occurring.
I wonder if T-mobile is probing our phones for information when this happens?
Either way, it is annoying and toggling airplane or data seems to solve...tho I've had it go right back to doing that today after toggling...
So I believe I've had this issue everytime I fashed any kind of CM7 to my phone. The backup of my dolphin browser never actually restores correctly. All my other apps restore their data perfecty and work fine. But dolphin browser always just restores the app but I can never get my data back on it, so I lose all my bookmarks and saved emails and stuff which is annoying and sometimes I forget some of my passwords lol. But has anyone else had this problem? Even when I backup my bookmarks from the app itself and restore them it never gets me them back.
And the problem I'm having with 4G is it never connects or shows up. I know I need to have 3G on first, and I do, but when I turn 4G on it says "turning on" then "unknown" and it never even shows in my status bar as scanning or anything.
Also, the in-call speaker sound stays on the loudest even when lowerng it to the end. Its like that with regular talking on the phone and head phones, and no, its not from voodoo control. But is there anyway to fix this?

Ya that's what I'm thinking. Maybe it runs in a different way or something.
But anyway, that's not the biggest problem I'm having. I don't mind that as much as any of the other two issues.

I know there was a big outage last week in texas because of this... maybe its that...

Maybe, or maybe not. Ill restore my backup of thunderhawk and test 4G to see if its from the ROM or the network. And I seen another tread talking about the in call sound to always being too loud so I guess that's a ROM based bug but not a big problem.

Hello everyone... I come to you with a rather annoying problem. I am running Calkulin's latest GB rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1332837 and it happens at the lock screen. My phone's screen will be off and then every so often it'll randomly turn on. It doesn't do it constantly, but enough to be obnoxious. Does anyone else have this issue? I use WidgetLocker Lockscreen (paid for), but it does it with the standard lockscreen as well.
Thanks in advance!
Try uninstalling widget locker and see if the problem is still present? It could also be a setting in widget locker!

I uninstalled WidgetLocker and rebooted my phone and it hasn't done it just yet, so we'll see how it goes. Thanks. Too bad though, I like that program D:
Edit: It's doing it again without WidgetLocker :\
Try wiping cache & davlik. If that doesn't work, then try fix permissions in recovery too.
Edit: Could be an app waking the phone too. Have you tried turning off sync or freezing apps yet?

Not yet, I'll give that a shot if the wiping cache, davlik, and fixing permissions doesn't work. Here's hoping! I have titanium backup pro so I can freeze apps... I know a few things sync like google calendar.
EDIT: Still does it ;-;
Which apps should I freeze?
It might be overkill, but you could just back up texts, calls, and apps, then reflash your rom or try another. Just do a fresh install, don't restore data with your apps. It might be the quickest means to an end. Also, if it does it on multiple roms, it's possibly an issue with the power button. Give her a squirt of canned air before you go running off to the sprint store. Good luck!

Most of the rom developers will implement ad blocking in their rom build. I know for a fact that Calkulins' use it. So you don't need to install anything else.
Sometimes they list that info on their OP.

Rooting and unlocking is huge if you want battery improvements. Removing apps such as google+ will help with battery drain and the ROMs we have out now also have scripts and other battery enhancements.

My battery seems to have gone down to. I might do a factory reset to try and fix it. That helped before. Also. If you look at my attached pic, your notice "peaks" in the graph. No I am not plugging into anything and yet I gain a percent here and there during the day. Anyone get this?
Also, with that pic, I don't have the bars under it showing screen on, awake times, WiFi on, charging or signal. How can I get these back? They are very useful pieces of info.
Sorry didn't mean to take over a thread. This seemed like a logical thread to post with.

Once you're rooted AND unlocked. You can't uninstall system apps until unlocked or you'll get a security error.
