Screen Alignment Problem on Defy. - Defy General

Hi Guys,
Anyone know how to fix screen alignment problem? My screen seems misalignment after flashing some new roms. What can i do do fix it? Pls help. Thanks.

Have you try to do a wipe?

I did a wipe and Dalvik Cache wipe before and after restoring the rom...but still the same.

Try to do a restore setting with the original recovery of Defy and next reflash the fsb.

Doesnt work also. Anything else i can do?

Have you tried flashing a non-custom rom and wipe? That will make sure that there will only be stock applications. I remembered an application shifted my screen to the left and bottom by a few pixels.

Arghhh..... i tried to go back to original ROM...but still the same. Anyone can help? I have flash so many times with different ROM but all give me the same result!!! CROOKED!!!

Ok...i found this info : X dpi = 265.0435 , Y dpi = 264.5317. Could this be the problem? How do i make it the same?

Lock Screen Problem

Hello,
sorry for my bad english.
I have already flashed the following [ROM] AceSMod007 (Sense2.1+3.0 GB | Stable | A2SD+) [STOCK | CM7] [v33 | 21/08].
I did root with AmonRa.
Partitioned the SD-Card with Recovery.
Wiped with all offered options, 3 times.
Downloaded the ROM 2 times.
Checked the md5 Checksum.
Now i have the problem that the Sense Lock Screen isn't working properly.
Please take a look to the attached Screenshot.
Insted of the Ring, a white bar is shown.
I like this ROM very very much, but i would like it much more withe a proper working Lock Screen.
Have anybody got an idea, how to fix my problem?
Moloch500
Haven't got anybody an hint or an idea?
Have you tried to wipe Sense cache ?
If it still doesn't work, try a dalvik-cache wipe but if you still have this bug, I think you'll have to flash the rom again
Which one is the option (name) for the sense cache?
I'm a little bit confused, I have wiped every single point in the wipe menue 3 times, and then flashed the ROM. The result is always the same.
Now it's going to become Mysterious.
I completely Unrooted my Desire and Rooted it again.
Then Flashed again, and now the Lock Screen completely disappeared. There is only a blank Background Picture.
I think i'm going to get crazy. Why does nobody else have this problem?
Hope you did a backup before wipe & flash...
Thats not the point, my apps will be restored automatically by google.
The rest isn't important.
Now i try another ROM (LeeDrOiD)
Ok, now i was successful with using a LeeDrOiD HD ROM

[Q] About factory reset

Hi,
I'm having problems with video recording in CM7.1 RC1.5 and cannot record anything, although photos work fine. I've tried clearing camera cache without success so i'm thinking of doing a factory reset.
If i factory reset, and see that the camera works, can i then restore Data via CWM without issues?
Edit: I've fixed the video problem. When i installed GTAIII i changed libstagefright.so (to fix blackscreen issue). I put back the original one.
I'm still interested in a reply though, one day i may want to factory reset, but losing my apps and appdata is bugging :/ (Tit. Backup doesn't allways do a neat job)
instead to do a factory reset try to install another ROM like CM9.

My xperia s is running cm10 based freexperia212. now my phone has started giving me problems to touch.. the whole strip alonmg the charging port doesnt respond to touch most of the times.. sometimes it does. and worst of all the screen goes mad and registers touch anywhere in multiple areas without me doing anything.. i think the screen in gone mad.. can anyone give me a solution.. and its not a hardware issue cause it works sometimes.. nevertheless.. mostly no. plz help.. i would be greatfuyl. thanks.
It could be the digitilizer playing up which is a hardware problem. I've had an android tablet that had that problem before. Make a backup and flash a stock rom and see if the problem remains

[Q] com.android.phone crash

Hello all,
Recently I installed the Avatar rom from this page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130852) on to my galaxy s2. I did a full backup in twrp before wiping my caches and installing the rom. Upon installing I run into unrelenting com.android.phone crashes. I go to restore my backup and when I boot to that, my dialpad is missing and I get no service. Can anyone please help me with this? Thanks!
Edit: I have now tried flashing it to stock and I still run into this issue.
Have you tried flashing a new radio?

Fix
Okay I managed to fix this issue. Just to clarify what the issue was for anyone with similar problems:
After flashing a new rom I continuously get com.android.phone errors, no service, and no dialpad. Using my twrp full recoveries (2 of them) didn't fix the issue as I still got the crash and missing dialpad and no service.
To fix this, I flashed to stock using the Jellybean file from a thread. (Can't submit links but a google search of "[HOW TO] Odin any stock rom" provides the thread as the first result).
That alone didn't fix it, the last step is what fixed the problem for me, which was a factory reset and cache wipe after the flash.
I have fixed the issue but I am still left with the question of how this was possible. Isn't the dialpad simply an apk that should be in the backup?
Why would flashing a new rom leave me with this error?
Any help in clearing up the cause of the issue here would be much appreciated.

I still think it was the radio, If you didn't get any signal then the first thing I would do is reflash the radio. The same thing happened to me on CM 10.1..I don't remember if the dialer was crashing on me but it probably was BUT I do know I was getting horrible battery life and I had no signal. I just flashed the latest radio and I was good It could be that the radio you had when you were flashing Avatar didn't support it.

Sometimes what happens when flashing a rom or even restoring a backup sometimes with newer roms that support the preload partition is the recovery doesn't properly load the preload partition, causing some apps or system software to malfunction, what recovery are u using?

I use twrp. I think 2.5. Is there any way to prevent this problem? I want to try reflashing the avatar ROM but it's a pain to have to flash back to stock and then root and then restore my backup

It was fine when I was using CM10.2.. I am thinking of going back to Color OS but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone help me on this? Ps: I also installed the camerafix and it doesn't work.
