Hey guys, i recently bought up a samsung galaxy ace s5830 android 2.2 phone. Everything was fine. I wanted to partition my sd card so i rooted my phone and installed clockworkmod recovery. But when I started the backup through rom manager the phone switched off and has not been started since then. I reattached the battery, sim, sd card....but nothing is happening. Somebody please help me......

my problem is the same.. hope somebody helps~
This is a known problem of Ace, you can root but not the backup. The only known solution is to sent to them back.

if i send my ace to service centre then, will they repair or give me a new one....
and should i tell them about the rooting and if not then what should i say!!!!!

Ok soo my htc Evo is rooted ... Of course lol but anyway one day it all of a sudden stop reading the sd card turned off and wouldn't turn back on I did a clear storage in the bootloader about 3 times and it finally turned in took a long tone but now that I got it on I wanna know is there a way I can unroot it without the sd card working!!! I'm rooted with "rooting for dummies" it's running cmw and I have a MIUI Rom!!!

Hello and i'm really sorry for opening a new thread but i can't find any answer to my problem
I have rooted my phone yesterday although i have backed up eveything before after i finished restoring i see that all my pictures are corrupted
i have a galaxy nexus and for the back up i've used Galaxy Nexus Root Toolkit version 1.3
I also have the back up file on my pc which is .ab but i can't see it's content with any program
Is there somebody who knows what should i do?

I am using a unrooted Rogers SGS3. After I installed the latest Samsung 4.1.2 update, the phone shows the SD card is damaged, need reformatting. I plug it into computer, all my data are gone. I need a good software to recover some of contents on this SD card

If you're just worrying about pictures I use CardRecovery. It isn't perfect but it has recovered about 80% of my lost pictures. Its designed for cameras specifically but works with all sdcards
There is a recovery pro tool I've seen but it runs $200+

Before you format your SD card try this post. It works for me everytime my phone tells me I have a corrupted SD card. It might fix your issue. Good luck!

ok guys i have a samsung galaxy s3 sch-r530x from nextech wireless , so today i got an ota and was not able to install due to having a custom recovery and since the sprint root method worked for my phone i figured they are very similar.... i was wrong i flashed a stock sprint s3 recovery and now i get a bunch of mount errors and cant do anything with my recovery i have tried all the recoverys i can get my hands on but they do not work. so i am reaching out for some help if anyone has a recovery for my phone please help me out. i think the ntelos s3 should have the same recovery also.

well i got it all figured out. if anyone has this problem all you have to do is update it using kies it took 2 hours but it updated it and made it awesome! just joined the android 4.3 club!
I have a Samsung Galaxy J2 Dash. The info on this site says that it has 8Gs of storage. I actually have 16Gs. Why the discrepancy? And can you please help me with figuring out how to root this phone. I'm new to this and don't wanna mess up my phone. Thank you.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to XDA and have arrived with a pretty annoying issue that I hope can be fixed.
lately I have been able to up until recently install Custom Rom's on my Samsung SM-G532 however for some reason once installing a rom and installing Open GApps I encounter a security error while attempting to booting the device into either Recovery or the Kernel. Booting into download mode works fine. I have tried everything from resetting the stock rom before re-flashing to completely wiping all sys data and dalvik and cache partitions but to no avail. Hopefully some insight can be provided since this annoying issue has brought my playing around to a stand still. the red text at the the top says custom binary blocked by frp but there wasnt a reset after putting my account on the new rom
