Hi guys, i'm sure you wil know what the problems are with this.
Trying to install a ROM upgrade and every time i try just as the update starts the trion disconnects from the pc and the upgrade fails. No idea whats causing this.
If you can help would be great.
Thanks
When starting the rom upgrade also 'verifying information on pc' it puts the trion into a mode where you have red, green, blue and white sections, and says USB at the bottom :S
which rom are you trying to upgrade to?
So far that sounds like normal behavior.
Are you waiting to a minute to see what happens. The updater kills the ActiveSync connection, this is normal.
You may want to check out the wiki and do some reading. Also, as the previosus poster says, a little more info may be good.
Your OS

ROM your trying to go to

Thanks.
Please help. I just got used HTC Incredible.
It is S-OFF, Hboot-0.92, Radion 2.15.00.07.28 and Android 2.2
It is only work when no WiFI and not Mobile Internet.
If I turn on Mobile Interent I have up to minutes to use Interent and then device going in rebootin and white screen. Removing battery sometimes help and device starts loading but then will rebooting again.
Will changing ROM helps?
As I saw a lot of people has similar problems in USA.... may be I got bad device(
You received your DInc with S-OFF? Sounds like someone sent it in and the refurb department didn't do its job in checking the phone and reloading it... then sent it to you.
You could always flash the stock ROM back onto and see what it does.
http :// dougpiston . com/?page_id=108
is where you can get the Stock ROM from. You will need to place it on you SD card and name it PB31IMG.zip
Boot up into your HBOOT and proceed with the update
Thanks! It was on original Rom when I got it but with S-OFF! and was rebooting when try to use WiFi or Mob. Internet.
Now I'm on cyanogenmod 7 and then same problem.
Do I need play with radio version? Will it may help?
If you go back stock it will unroot you..... if you give me some more info I might be able to help..... like when you flashed cm7 did you do a full wipe and what recovery do you have
Plus did you get it from Verizon or Craigslist or something
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
Yes, I did full wipe.
Now I'm under CM7 and seems it working now more stable. So I can use interent via WiFI near 10-15 minutes. Under Mobile connection near 5-10minutes. If I do just quick connection on 30-60 second it not rebooting at all.
I got the phone from a person who, I think, take it from ebay. It has verizon sign on it.
When I got it was with original lates ROM.
I'm starting think that it is overheating. May be I can low processor speed?
Updated. Also I've installed prog called 'neocore' which does 3d benchmark testing. I need to run just 2-3 times this test and my device starts rebooting.
I had a similar problem when using custom kernels with HAVS or smartass governors on them. Do you have Set CPU or any other program that controls your processing speed/voltage? If so, try disabling them and see if you still have the problem. Some phones do not react well to under/overclocking.
im not sure what kernel comes with cm7 but some dincs dont like multitouch kernels.... and they will kick you off apps and sometimes reboot so i would try switching kernels first.. try one that is close to stock
Just back to stock ROM. And what I see, that if I disable Mobile Internet it works stable. Just turn on Mobile Internet and it starts rebooting. Stock rom has a lot of apps which connect to the internet. Even with disabled auto-update I still see how on booting 3g icons areas and arrows up-down are blinking.
As I see after connection to the mobile internet my device starts rebooting. And only one think helps - remove battery and wait several minutes, which allows boot in successfully. And then if turn off mobile access it will work well (((
Thats odd that ur phone does that. Did u try and change the radio?
Seems that is last what I can try. Or will need to sell it on parts for cheap (.
As I know radio 2.15.00.07.28 is very stable. Which one you recomend to use?
And how to be sure that it will work well with my Current ROM?
Can I install older radio? like 2.07.00.07.16? or even older?
Thanks for help!

i have an idea man maybe you should run an RUU to unroot you and format everything back to the way it was from the factory.... if that dont help it has to be a hardware issue.... let me know and ill help you through it
Thank for helping. Just not sure that unroot may have difference. But will try at last.
What I had found last days. I had changed radio to some version.
On 2.15.00.09.01 was very fast rebooting after try use internet.
On 2.07.00.07.16 was working a bit longer, but not so much.
And 2.05.00.06.11 - the best one! Plus I switched to Stock rom with Android 2.2 and whole day without rebooting.
Only one reboot was when do charging of the device.
The only problem I've under 2.05.00.06.11 that Interent working only via 1x speed. It always tries to connect via 3G, but no luck and switch to 1x.
What do u think now?
Again, thanks for help!
Wildfire with
ROM: CM 7.2
Kernel: 2.6.35.14-InfinityPlay
Radio: 3.35.20.16
For the last year wifi, after a short period of time i can't download, I mean, some times i connect, get into market for example and download/update, but after some time i can't, it's not a market problem because i can't download from anywhere, regardless the app, but i can browse normally(!), the problem is only in downloading. Even if i reset wifi, go in and out of airplane mode, restart the phone etc, the problem stays. Maybe if i try the next day it works ok. I dont know how it occurs or when and why, nor how/why/when it gets fixed...
The problem started when I had rompuzzle 2.2.1 a year before, till now. Since then I have flashed stock rom with 2.2.1, jockerdroid 4.2, cm 7.1, and cm 7.2 that i have now.
I suspect it is a radio problem, but can't be sure.
*Also sometimes I have low gsm signal, even in well covered areas.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks
You said you flashed stock rom, i suppose it was a stock rom from Android?
It really looks like you have a problem with your radio (like you allready say for yourself).
It seems you have the newest one, so try a lower version.
I you have troubles finding a radio because the host is down or something just pm me or try google.
Hope this helped! Kind regards.
try radio 20.10
i have tried all 3 radios, but the problem stays. But i have noticed that when i enable tether and i put in the console the command for reverse tethering *usually* it gets fixed until the next time that i disconnect from my wi-fi.
i have not the same but similar problem, after a while i get dropped from router, even if my phone says its connected...this started to happen after changing our router (which i couldnt and cant set up) and setting up "N" wifi network...i found two options, how to solve it..
1)use free app wifi fixer from google play store (which somehow manages to know if you are connected or not and can automatically reassociate with router again)
or
2)flash HCDR.Kernel_v4_Flashable.zip from op on this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=798471
maybe it help, maybe not.. gl
I have *temporary* solved the problem by following the reverse tethering guide... I don't know why but after doing this procedure I can connect normally to my router, and if it disconnects (rarely) I just repeat the steps of the guide.

which is the right gapps file?
Hello,
I was preparing to flash this rom and downloaded from the link you gave this version
cm-10.2-20140728-UNOFFICIAL-codina.zip
but now I'm in trouble because, going at the goo.im link,
I don't understand which is the Gapps file that matches best with the above rom
Can you tell me wich one is more suitable
Thanks in advance
Use JB Gapps - these are the lastest on goo.im
https://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip
Maybe there are newer ones arround in the net - But please search for yourself if you need it newer...

tethering not working and no wake up from lockscreen
Hi,
I'm very happy with this ROM but I have a serious (for me) issue with tethering.
Usb tethering procedure simply remains stucked to "obtaining IP address" and then quits.
WiFi tethering shows that the signal is strong but after some time trying to connect it quits
with notification of " deactivated net. Low quality connection"
(sorry if my translation is wrong, but I think you can understand)
I don't think it could be a provider problem because my italian provider (H3G) allows tethering
without limitation, and moreover I had never a problem of tethering with stock rom.
Any clue..?
the other annoying issue is with wake up from lockscreen.
Many times (mostly after a notification) the phone remains with black screen, completely unresponsive to all buttons.
Sometimes it wakes up retrying in few seconds, sometimes I have to reboot.
Suggestions?
By the way I would like to try changing the level of "deep sleep" from default 3 to 4 but I can't remember how to enter to that page in the menu, can you help me?
Thanks in advance, beside these bugs this ROM is wonderful, my phone flies...
Would you be so kind as to release cm-10.2-20140728 for codinaP?
We NFC users are still stuck with the 20140228 release...

Rox (the dev of this) is out of business for the ACE 2 - So I don't think that you/we can expect an updated on this.

My friend installed cm-10.2-20140728 and quicky returned to 20140228 (hes using I8160). I think that our version cm-10.2-20140228-UNOFFICIAL-codinap.zip is fast, stable and bugfree.
Not planing to install CM11.
Anyone noticed that tethering doesn't work correctly?
I mean turn on tethering + mobile data, it's okay until you connect to this wi-fi via PC, then the tethering automatically is being disabled and even trying to turn it back doesn't work, phone reboot required to be able to switch it on but the same situation happens.
I didn't touch anything in this ROM. 2.3.6 GingerBread -> 4.1.2 beta -> 4.1.2 XEO -> 4.3.1 this ROM and after every installation wipe data and cache
Tethering now working

I just want to share my experience. Hopefully it will help someone out there, and give feedback to the developers.
I had flashed the latest build (cm-10.2-20140728-UNOFFICIAL-codina.zip) from stock Jelly Bean (XXMF2). I like the ROM very much except I had problem tethering (both WIFI and USB), which is a very important function for me. My problem seems similar to vanometro.
When USB tethered, my laptop connects but it take a long time to acquire network address, finally results in "low or limited connectivity", with no access to the internet. When WIFI tethering, my laptop finds hotspot and successfully authenticates password, but there is no internet access. Same situation when I try to tether to another laptop / desktop / android phone.
On further investigation, I realized that my laptop is not getting the correct network addresses. On manually keying in the correct addresses (took me quite a while to learn how to do this), I finally can access the internet both via USB and WIFI. However, I find it too troublesome to manually key in the network configurations each time I want to tether.
In my limited understanding, I believe the DHCP server in my Ace 2 is not working properly. But I have no idea how to troubleshoot this. Tried clearing cache partition / Dalvic cache / factory reset. Even tried reinstalling the ROM. But no success.
Finally tried installing the previous build (cm-10.2-20140227-UNOFFICIAL-codina.zip), and everything works! Now I can tether by USB and WIFI, no need to manually key in network configurations.
Hopefully this helps someone, and someone more knowledgeable can look into the problem.
I know there's a wifi issue thread, but this is a little more specific.
I started having issues with my wifi over the weekend... It shows connected, but takes 70-100 seconds to "register" that there's a connection. By that, I mean: When I open an app, it takes that long for it to "connect" and start working. Some apps will time out and say "no data connection". When I test it with Speedtest.net, it takes about 90 seconds of "finding server" to test my connection. When I test it, I'm getting great speeds, but it takes too long to connect to the server. If I turn off wifi, and just use mobile data, it works fine.
This has me wondering if there is an issue with an international or dev firmware, or the actual radio, running in the USA? Maybe it takes longer to recognize one or the other? It's not just my phone either.... There is another, older, rooted HTC One M7 in the house having the same issue (running a wwe or dev firmware) with a custom ROM......So it's not just my phone.

I suppose it's possible. You should be able to run Viper with the AT&T firmware, though. So I'd try flashing the new AT&T firmware and seeing if that helps clear things up.

Now the $1,000,000 question..... Where do I find the latest At&t Firmware?

Unfortunately, until someone extracts it, RUU is the only method I know of.
Either that, or return to stock (if you made a system image backup before rooting) and take the OTA.

Yeah, I just RUU'd..... Even on the stock At&t ROM, I had issues....Couldn't stand stock, so I'm now running the most recent At&t firmware on a current wwe (2.10.x.x) ROM with no issues (yet).
I run wwe firmware with no issues on wifi as i did with my m7 and m8 too.
[UPDATE] Wifi issues resolved
After numerous hours/days of working on WHY my wifi doesn't work properly.....I got it figured out.
I flashed the RUU of the official At&t 5.1 ROM = Did not work (so I flashed back to my fav custom ROM)
Changed every setting I could find/think of in my Netgear router = Did not work
Exchanged my Netgear, thinking it was faulty, for a new (better) one = Did not work
Tried my, retired, Apple Airport Extreme router = Did not work
Called my ISP several times, no help at all (worse than calling At&t) = Did not work
Logged into my cable modem and disabled ALL security and Firewall = Did not work
Tried my cable modem's built-in wifi = Did not work
FINALLY, I exchanged my cable modem for a different one at my local office...... IT WORKS!
So it was something *wonky* with my cable modem the whole time. Wish I knew this before buying 2 new routers over the last couple months! Oh well, I now have a couple good backup routers
