Can any1 tell me how to extract dcompass.dll (19.84KB on Trophy) from a WP7 HTC device (or ROM file)...I tried using everything I could think of...I think I'd also need ECD.dll (both are in Windows folder).

roms unlike normal windows only have the specific drivers required by the device and if the hardware is not 100% the same then the rom dont work
kinda like trying to install macOSX on a pc

I got a HTC Feeler running WM 2003 SE. I was wondring what would happen if i copyed the rom to an SD memorycard, and then replaced the OS with the OS from a HTC Tornado?
i know i would have to recalculate the checksums and stuff, but would it work ? i know the size of the Tornado rom i larger, but i don't know if that would have an effect?

if you are talking about rom flashing i just use the SD card method. i tried the driver hack that is suggested in XDA wiki (which im sure you have read) but it didnt work.
Have already flashed my phone about 5 times in the last week with no issues (other than a stable version of 6.1 lol)

i dont think so, unless you can port the xip and cid unlock it yourself. or find a forum for the device itself. this forum is for htc phones, and as its made by hitachi, i dont think it can be done here

from what i recall then that device dont even have a flash based rom but a hardcoded one so it can never get any rom upgrade at all official or otherwise

It has a PXA cpu, and an ATI W3200 video+USB+SDIO.
AFAIK nobody tried to port linux to this device, though it should be doable.
You may run haret.exe on it, and post the haretlog.txt here.

As far as I know most GPS devices are based on Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Core it's like a small Windows with Start Menu, Desktop and so on, but this feature is locked down only to Navigation Software and Simple file browsing.
There is no final Windows CE6, only some RC versions.
Windows Mobile is also based on Windows CE, but that's a different OS tree.
Basically there is nothing You can do with the dump.

Yes y're right i have an ACER P610 NAVIGATOR.So basically i cant even create a xip.bin install file to reinstall my system 'cause it has became very unstable(or if is there some tool to could extract and edit my current OS image)?where can i find a wince6 rc install file can somebody link me somehere?any help would be apreciated.thanks
