Question about TP2 radio

I live in japan and I am considering purchasing a TP2 abroad (foreign phones always take ages to arrive in Japan)
I am from Europe, travel there often but may be moving to the US in 6 months or a year...
OK long introduction to come to my question: what type of TP2 shall I be looking for if I want it to work properly in Japan, Europe, and US (And South East Asia, but for this part I thnk the networks are similar to European ones) ?
What model will be limited to where (or what type of 2G/3G limitation will I encounter depending where I will be and which model I will have chosen)
Thank you for your help
Bump... I found pieces of information here and there... but I'd like to have a comprehensive opinion
OK ound my naswer there between US & Asian

Question on Tmobile Version of HTC Touch Pro2

I have a T-Mobile Version of HTC Touch Pro 2.
Can somebody please confirm if this mobile will work with 3G Asian Bands ??
or
In simple words, can i use the 3G Feature available in countries like India or Singapore with the T-Mobiles version of HTC Touch Pro 2 ???
Please advise !!!!
PS : And forgive me if this question is a repeat from earlier threads. I read few threads. But i didnt see a definite answer for this.
AFAIK T-Mobile TP2 uses UMTS 1700/2100.
According to http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_in.shtml there is no 3G network in India yet.
And for Singapore http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_sg.shtml 3G is available on 2100.
3G in India
Yes - We do have 3G services in India. Iam not even looking at the link that you gave.
Iam quiet sure, BSNL India is offering various 3G services from Corporate Services to DATA transfer services.
I may be wrong, But to my knowledge, we do have 3G servies here for over 12 months...
I agree... I can't see India not having 3G. Sounds like the GSM alliance needs to update their site.

Well, their site also says that T-Mobile doesn't have 3G.
Wikipedia Data
Data from Wikipedia -

This is my understanding...
T0 my knowledge,
Universal 3G Standard is UMTS2100. Tmobile Touch Pro 2 supports that anyway.
Not just for US, But also for most of the other countries UMTS2100 is a standard 3G path.
IT SHOULD WORK FINE ACROSS THE WORLD. UK VODAPHONE provide 3G access via UMTS2100. I havent read the details for BSNL 3G service in India, becos i didnt find the details anywhere ! But one of my friend who bought a same Tmobile's Android version phone works fine with BSNL's 3G. Iam quiet sure BSNL uses the same thingy....
And to quote another example, 3 Top mobile operators in Singapore (ASIA) --- * Mobile One, * StarHub and * Singapore Telecom Mobile Pvt. Ltd., offer 3G at UMTS 2100.
As a matter of fact, with respect to design - Tmobile offering of Touch Pro 2 is more reliable and more sturdy than the original version of TP2. It is just the fanciness that takes lead for the original version which are more prone to scratches.
I may be wrong.... Please let me know if you have more details and correct me if iam wrong................

Anyone try another baseband on T-Mobile Gnex?

Has anyone switched from the XXLF1 radio to another and seen improved results?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus on T-Mobile
Everyone has different results with different radios. There's no perfect radio for everyone. If you think you're getting bad results with your current radio, then try other radios out and see.

I'm on T-Mobile. Recently switched from XXLF1 to UGLH1 with very distinct, consistent improvement in connection reliability. As mentioned, YMMV.

I am on my third UG radio test; the UG radio is best for the USA it seems. The thread has many choices and great information.
Wait, I am confused. It says in the original thread that the UG radio is for canadian devices. I want to be clear on this: Will it really work for USA devices as well? I don't know much about radios on here (I still have a hard time wrapping my head around radios being some sort of coding rather than actual hardware.) But I would LOVE to boost data speeds somehow on my phone!!!

As long as it is not a CDMA radio it will work. XX is actually meant for Europe.

I have read every thread I can find on this. UG radios are for North America, XX radios for Europe, and so on. I am in California, and the UG radios have worked for better for me than the XXLF1 that came with mine from Google.

Last I knew, Canada was still part of the North American continent, but with global warming and plate tectonics, it could change, but not soon.

Using Korean SKT Note 7 in the United States

So, in August 16th, I got a surprise call from Samsung Headquarter Store in Korea that Galaxy Note 7 that I have pre ordered was available earlier than 19th.. and it was Blue Coral ! yay! ...
Then I brought it to the United States... and I only get 3G.....
Is it normal that foreign phones brought to the U.S only works with 3g network...
Is there anyway that I can use LTE network...
my current carrier is AT&T and plan is Gophone LTE 60...
the model is SM-N930S made for SK telecom in South Korea and powered by Exynos chip.
Thank you !
P.S: When you guys visit South Korea, you guys should visit Samsung D'light headquarter store in Gangnam Station exit 8 !! all samsung peripherals are cheaper there...

Yes this happens sometimes depending on the device and carrier.
Easy enough to avoid however, we all know what bands AT&T uses (and if not easy to find out) so checking if the particular device in question has those bands (again easy enough to find out) before buying is of course the wise move.
On some devices in the past it has been possible to enable other bands but the note 7 is so new I doubt anyone has tried yet.

Thoughts on the *BEST* Varient of the LG G4?

I have owned 3, G4s, all Verizon Unlocked. VS986 variants. Im fed up with the Boot loader being locked unless you complete the dreaded unlock method of USU. I use ATT for phone service, so i was just going to pick up another G4 because I want the freedom of flashing ROMS with TWRP and etc....
After brief browsing I see each variant is slightly different in Its own way. I wanna know which variant of the G4 (you) think is the best?; (and a brief reason why! ) The one with the most xda dev/community support, the one with the most ROM options, etc etc.... And preferably compatible with the ATT network.
This list was pulled from another post on XDA I'm am not positive on its accuracy. But how do the common varrients hold up against the uncommon varients below? ( results due to MY location.: Pennsylvania/USA)
<Common Varients:>
*H810PR: AT&T
*H811: T-Mobile USA
*LS991: Sprint
*US991: USA
*VS986: Verizon
<UN-Common/Rare Varients>
*DS1402: ???
*F500K: KT Korea
*F500L: U+ Korea
*F500S: SK Telecom Korea
*H812: Telus Canada
*H815: Europe, Middle East, Africa
*H815AR: Argentine
*H815K: Australia
*H815P: Latin America, South Africa
*H815L: Israel
*H815T: Hong-Kong
*H815TR: Turkey
*H818P: Dual-sim (South Africa, Brasil, United Arab Emirated, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Eastern Europe)
*H818N: Dual-sim (China, Hong-Kong, India)
*H819: China
*KS1402/LGV32: ??? Japan (also called LG ISAI VIVID) ???

best is H815 that can be unlocked not all can be unocked..
or best is h811 tmobil. can be unlock with command.
815 international ( the Europe, middle east, Africa one your talking about )or 811 tmobile have all the ROMs and easy unlock
H811 is GSM so it should work on AT&T. AFAIK H815 is the only one to officially get Nougat outside of Korea.
