You mean boot animation or splash screen? Splash screen is not in rom. You need to learn to search and read if you want to change that. Hint: alpharev.

Hey guys, I am wondering if there is a way to change the bootlogo? I mean the bootlogo so not the bootanimation. It is the first image that shows up when you boot.

Afaik its impossible.....we need s-off to get to that part !
It could be done on the xperia arc, which was similar to the one x as in boot a kernel through fastboot, not flash one with cwm. Using a tool like this you could alter an existing kernel splash, but I'm still not 100% familiar with the one x yet so couldn't advise if it would work.
Not possible yet......

Hi I've unlocked my desire HD from EE/T-Mobile UK to three (3) UK. I know you can get all sorts of boot animations but can you get the three (3) boot logo? I still get the t mobile boot logo.
Cheers

Replace /system/media/bootanimation.zip. You need to find the actual zip yourself.

this is bootanimation, he wants to change splash screen which is displayed before the ROM starts to boot.
One way is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1632001
The other way is to place some smartly named img in SD root and flash it from bootloader (use search).
And note you do need the ENG S-OFF, i've not been able to flash a splash without the engineering s-off&Hboot

Do you already have the file you want to flash? You have to flash it in the PD98IMG.zip way. Check this out.
