I keep getting this message when I go into my PM.
Private Messaging is temporarily unavailable
Is there any fix?
thanks
Yes, hit the back button and click on the link again. Sometimes it takes 4 times to get to where I want to be.

I noticed the board sw was upgraded and now shows a "Your Notifications" link in the top-right corner. I couldn't find it, but is there a way to change that link to Private Messages as in the good old days?

Did you notice the small drop down arrow beside it that does lhave private messages as an item on the list?

Of course I did. The problem is that the start page first must be loaded, then after clicking the arrow the dropdown appears and then after looking, aiming and hopefully hitting the private messages link, my private messages appear. I don't need all the other **** so for me this isn't an improvement.
EDIT: I got my private messages link back by nuking pending "friend" requests
Hello
I have the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and have noticed a warning sign appear in my messages.
Does anyone know what it means or how to get rid of it?
Anytime I have had a warning sign it was due to a failed sent message. That is in Handcent messaging though, not to sure about stock.
Means the same thing in stock messenger. A message failed to send.

As has been said it's a failed message, it should disappear on it's own when it auto sends the message when it gets signal again. If it doesn't, you can always go into the thread and just delete the message and try again.
Thanks.
I'll take a look. It may take a while though but I guess I could just wait until the thread gets round to auto deleting it.

This.
And you can resend the message by clicking on the warning icon. It will automatically enter the failed text into the text entry box allowing you to send it again.
[Q] Question, will i get a " read " report from an Iphone when i send it an MMS?
I'm trying to find out if anotn IPhone will return a "read " report to my T989? I get the. "delivered" notification, but never seem to get a "read " notification. Is there a way to check? Other than having the iPhone in hand and sending MMS? I'm asking because I keep hearing from my ex wife that she didn't get the message. Thanks as always in advance.
As long as you have the option set to get the 'read report' I don't see why you wouldn't get one.

Thanks for you response. I do have my phone set to get a "read" report. I'll have to get a friend that has an iPhone and check to see if it works.

Well, I sent an MMS to a friends IPhone while sitting here in the same room, and I received the delivery report, but it has been almost an hour and no "read " message report. Anyone have any ideas other than the obviousness of making sure my setting have been ticked?
The device you're sending to can be configured to not send read reports.

Thanks elceedub. I thought about that also but, when I had a friends IPhone and sent a message to it while I had it sitting next to me, the message came through, it sent a delivery notice back to my phone but, never sent a read message back to my phone. I know this person would not even know that she could change settings for MMS notifications, she doesn't even know what MMS is. So I would have to say that it's unlikely that settings had been changed on the IPhone to not send a read report. Thanks again.

By default, sent messages are not stored in the sentbox. You can enable this if you want.
Use forumrunner or tapatalk hahahahahaha
Well I'm stuck in a group text from hell and I can't get out! Sometimes though the mms doesn't download and is really annoying. My first question is, Is this a network issue? My second question is how can I block these messages? I've tried a few apps and one worked for a while but stopped and they kept coming through.

You can always call sprint and have those number blocked and the messages or calls from those numbers won't come in at all. Or you can they root call blocker from the market.

The thing is we've all tried to get out at some point but nobody will let anyone escape its horror. That's why I need a blocker from the phone because I don't want to block the numbers completely from calling just the group text. Is access point in messaging settings?
