Market Syncronization - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all!
There's a way to sync market between phone and site?
The problem is that I have uninstalled some apps ( on device )but they continue to appear in "my apps" section ( on both device and market.android.com ).
This is frustrating cause after a full wipe, the market reinstall them automatically even if they were not installed before the wipe!
Thanks in advance for the answers

No one?

I believe they should auto sync. Maybe u need to refresh it. Go to remove app option, find the market app and select clear data. Do not select remove option. This clears the list of installed apps and searched words. When u go into market again it should refresh the list of installed apps.

Is there a chance that the apps that still appear in Market are ones you have purchased? Because paid apps stay there. You prolly realize this, but worth a shot. Also, you should consider using Appbrain app market, I thoroughly enjoy it.

[Q] App brain or Market place

Hi all ,
Currently all my apps are backed up on App brain , I can sync , install etc...
However there is now the new web based market place https://market.android.com
So which is better ?
App brain or the new market place ??
NOTE: I back up on app brain , install via market place (as it's faster )
I noticed that none of the apps I have installed on my SD card are showing up on market.android.com - strange that.... appbrain has no problems identifying my apps from SD, neither does the phone market place.
I don't use App Brain so no idea. I will try out the new market thing and see if it works well. To be honest it doesn't bother me but I am sure at some point this week that I will be installing a new rom on my phone.
Google Market knows what apps I have installed, which is good. Meant to also let you know there are updates as well
Quite like it!
It cant see half the apps on my phone .. eg the ones NOT installed via the market place ... ( just apk's ) .. also theer is no sync ... so it does not " back up" your apps , as app brain does.

that's true - but the google phone market doesnt know which apk's from unknown sources either... i would expect it to pick up the ones that are installed on SD though from the market.
Can't get market.android.com to recognise my phone from ANY of the three email addresses I use on my phone.
Useless.
Obviously tried the main Gmail one you originally set the phone up with correct?
Yup, and the two google apps accounts I also run. All say they can't find a phone associated with the address.
Upgraded to the new market a couple of hours ago, didn't make any difference.
This android web market is a comedy. They should rather let appbrain to keep its push to install service, the site works perfectly for over half a year now.

Same problem here.
I found some things to try on google's forums but nothing worked (different browsers, different gmail accounts, etc)
Is this because we're using custom roms? I am using CM7 ...
Custom ROM should not matter as the market is linked to the IMEI number of the phone. I have CM7 running on my Desire and the market site shows it without trouble.
Just looked today , and there seams to be more on there ... looking at app brain , however its still missing some apps... which is odd as one of them is Adobe flash !!
There are other "system" apps on the list ...
It's still too new , so will wait for a while .. installing apps is faster than app brain ...

[Q] Market Linking

Hi, Is there a way to re-link free apps to the market without having a TiBu backup w/ link (to use with the Market Doctor) and without having to reinstall every app that is missing the link?
Or even an app that will show me which ones aren't link and allow me to reinstall them from the market?
Thank you.
I think I read somewhere that when people had done a complete wipe on their phone, they then went to set it back up and a screen asked them if they wanted to use the Google backup and restore. Not sure where the info is stored, but you can go to menu - settings - privacy to see what i am talking about.
Try an app called "Root Tools", I saw in the market comments that it helped a few people restore their market links. A recent update took the entirely free app and made some options paid (without warning, and before this there wasn't a paid version) so I reverted. If that's now a paid feature let me know and I'll upload the old apk. I'm not a pirate and don't consider that pirating, but some may I guess.

Can't see all apps on google play website

So when I go to the market website and click on My Apps it only lists apps up to the 'M's... anything past that I can't see.
I use this page to re-install apps when changing devices / after resets.
Is there any way to see a listing of all of my apps?
Don't know if this helps, but if you install the newest play app (i posted the apk here somewhere), it has the same kinda page now (an all apps installed history), you could install from there?

Thanks, I will check that out! Although I think using a KB/Mouse on my PC would still be more convenient than finger-scrolling and tapping on the phone screen :/
At least that should get me access to everything I'm missing.
My suggestion is,
1. delete market data and cache
2. From settings > sync settings > select google deatails > remove account
3. reboot
4. create your google account again
5. from market, check it again.
Hope this work.
Question - are you using market unlocker?
He's having the problem with the online version of the market, on his computer, not the phone app.

My bad kingdazy.
I've just checked out to find the installed apps from PC.
It seems like there are two ways.
1. from the market home page > My Adnroid Apps (from there we can reinstall the apps) - alphabetical order
(this one shows the history even the apps are uninstalled, those are there)
2. Google account dashboard > Android Market > installed applications (most recent first)
So, if you compare these two lists and if you find anything missing, then you'd better to contact Google support team. If both are the same, maybe there're gonna be none who can help you.
My two cents.
The first list is missing everything after the M's...
The second list has them all though... I'll use that for a work-around for now
I'm having an issue with apps on sd not showing up after a reboot. I have to clear data to get them to show again. This new market is annoying.

[Q] Weird program keep downloading to my HTC One X

Hi everyone.
I recently went to the playstore and downloaded a few applications for my new HTC One X (Which I looooove btw)
Problem is though, I think as I downloaded it, a virus or an advertising program was installed with it.
When I check my notification list once in a while it has a download ready called something like "Miniskirtmania" and as I try to get it away, or clear the list, it starts downloading onto my phone. I clicked on it to see where it would bring me and it seems like its to some website, but my phone is blocking me from going to that website as it is not from the application store or whatever.
Arent there a way to get rid of this stupid thing? I deleted the application which I thought it was, but it still keeps coming. Cant I block the thing or?
I really hope you can help as its driving me crazy
Try logging into market dot android dot com (Sorry, I don't have enough posts on this forum to post a direct link yet ) using the same Google Account as you've used to log into Play Store with and sorting it from there.
Else, go to Settings, Applications, Google Play Store and clear the App Data in there.

And what should I do if it doesnt help?
Any suggestions then? :&
Backup everything and do factory reset.
Or there is one Lookout app which tell you what apps are using adds.
Or delete all apps that you installed.
Just in case download some "antivirus" app and scan your mobile, I now many will tell there is no way that virus will be in android, but as you can see here, experts nows their job, somewhere may be one looking for shortcut in underground.
I always check reviews to see what other are saying about any app before downloading.
p.s. sending from my small nexus so didnt see that you already done some steps. Sorry.

Actually many will tell you there are viruses and that these "anti virus" apps are useless. google normally pulls these infected apps way before they get picked up by the apps.

Unused/Deleted Apps - Google Play Store - Support Reply

This may be covered in another thread, but i just received this from google support regarding my continued ***** about not being able to delete unused, uninstalled, non working apps listed on the play store granted.. they still show up on the web but now its not on my GSIII any longer.. Thank god... it took google too long to address this issue: :good:
Thank you for contacting Google. At this time, there is no way to delete records of old apps from the Google Play website (play.google.com).
However, if you're running the latest version (3.9+) of the Google Play Store app on your device (to find out the version you're running, launch Google Play, then tap Settings > Build version), you have the ability to remove apps from your My Apps list. At this time, the latest version of the Google Play Store app is slowly being released to devices around the world.
To do so, open the Google Play Store app > My Apps > All, tap the gray circle on the app you want to remove, then tap OK to confirm. You can select multiple apps to remove from the list by long-pressing an app, then tapping more apps in the list.
Note that you will only see the gray circle for apps that are not installed on that device. Removing an app from your My Apps list will uninstall the app from any other devices associated with your account. To get an app back that you've removed from your My Apps list, you must re-download the item from Google Play. If you remove a purchased app, there's no need to re-purchase that app - simply visit the app's details page on Google Play and re-install it.
If you're still running a version of the Google Play Store app below 3.9, you will not be able to remove apps from your My Apps list.
Regards,
Danielle
The Google Play Support Team.
I wish every time you deleted an app the list didn't refresh all the way to the top.. Also after rom installs do they come back and show again?

No they do not. They are also removed from the PC version when you log on from there. It makes it so much easier to try and an app and then delete it for good out of your list.
Nice to be able to finally batch delete...now if only we could batch install...
Sent from my SGH-I747M using xda premium
Well..you can now...the downside? Batch remove isn't available anymore.
The list doesnt refresh anymore thank god. It was so irritating when each time you erase the app from the list you have to scroll again to the point where you stopped before removing the app from the list. And I just got to know that you can actually select multiple apps from that list and install them at once instead of going to each app and pressing intall. COOL!!!
