Hello guys, I have HTC HD 2 (runing windows phone 7), the main issue is that Windows Phone 7 is not reading UTF-8 fonts, specifically Georgian language. When I am browsing on websites I have a problems, I can't see any texts and appearance of fonts are as cubes not a letters. Another second problem is Georgian keyboard. I can't post in Georgian language on any forum or website.
Finally, based on this problems I would like to ask to developers, could you help us please and find any solutions for this issues. We can pay, if anyone do and fix this issues for us.
Would be great to read and eventually write in Georgian. The font that comes with Windows is Sylfaen.ttf - if anyone would be interested in cooking it into ROM.
We need creation of xap file, which will added Windows/fonts directory a Georgian fonts. Please if any developer can, write here and we are ready to pay for this little app.
So many developers, no-one can help us? :||||
please someone help us with this problem

Ok, I have done a bit more research on this.
There is a way of installing Hebrew fonts (TTS type)
BUT
that wont solve your problem UNLESS you are prepared to read hebrew backwards

Hello Sir,
I AM NOW VERY Disappointed That We Can Not Read Asian Languages ON Our Universal DEVICE. I Have Spent Many Hours To Find A Solution But Failed. Urdu Language Is Read From Right To Left. When We Change Font To Urdu True Type We Can See All Characters But Left To Right. Is There Any Registry Settings To Do This I Mean Right To Left Reading Of Asian Languages. If Yes Kindly Let Us Know And If No Then How Can We Do That?
Waiting Your Kind Reply
I hope you accept my answer, even though I am not Asukal (haven't seen him on the forum for a long time).
Unfortunately, to read and write right to left on windows mobile devices you need a special program which is specific to the language you are using.
Windows mobile does not have functions that support right to left.
Hebrew and Arabic speakers encounter the same problem and for each of those languages there is a special localization application that converts all text right to left.
Unfortunately those apps are not free and they only recognize the specific language they were written for.
You need to look for such a program for your language.
Arabizer provides, partial solution to Urdu, however additional Urdu characters are not included, by installing this program enables you to view the Urdu text properly (in Right to Left mode)
Hope this will help!
Dear Touch HD users
After reading the wiki and do some searchs
I know that the best solution to add extra caracteres to your mobile is editing the registry and add yourself your perfect font(s).
I have to admit, I lack of experience, I'm a newsbie and I really need someone to teach me, and most forums told me that XDA-developers are the best place, with the best team, the best guys.
Can someone help me, please?
more exactly:
Do anyone here have already add Arialuni.ttf (Arial Unicode MS) to his touch hd?
I want Arialuni.ttf even if its size is around 22mb, Arial Unicode MS seems to be the best one.
I would like to see my Touch HD able to show japanese, chinese, thai, and more fonts.. that's my dream
thank you
(that's my only request and I'm sure, this gonna help a lot of people)
ps: sorry for my poor english
seems to be hopeless
Hi I have attached MS Unicode font cab
it support most of the languages
Hi. I just wanted to ask you if someone knows an application working on the X1 that lets me view font-files in *.ttf - or *.fon - format?
I just noticed, that my X1 isn't able to handle that types of files yet.
Haven't found anything appropriate searching the web.
Thanks in advance.
put in windows/fonts on x1 then change font settings in word mobile to desired font then type to view font
Yeah that's not THE solution but it is A solution

Hello, I am new to the site and so far have found the site to be very helpful. I am trying to figure out a way to install asian language fonts on my windows mobile 6.1. I talked with HTC tech and they told me that there is a way to do it but it has to be with a third party. I am trying to see if there is a way for me to view internet pages in Korean, receive korean emails, write korean fonts. Please help.
