Has anybody used this case? Can you comment please?
I'm trying to decide between this Krusell case and the Piel Frama one.
Frankly, I prefer the look of the Pier Frama (from web pics), but the design and funtionality of the Krusell is where my heart is tending towards (plus, it is not lacking in the looks department too, it seems).
Comments from existing users should help sort me out.
See links to both cases here:

Thanks.
Krussel should be nicer than they are, but Piel Frama was also dissappointing! I've had both, and the Krussel, while still being a "quality product" annoyed the hell out of me, while the Piel Frama was simple, it was never that slim. Both cases are too bulky IMO, they offer protection, but ruin the light weight ease of function that the orbit has... Your best bet is one of the many skin cases on the market.
Thanks BigKuri. Could you then suggest a good "skin" case? I'm very particular about device protection because I sometimes drop my phone. At the price point of the Artemis Premium, I really need protection.
While we are at it, can you tell me which was bulkier of the Krusell and the Piel Frama? Was the difference significant? Could either of them sit in a trouser pocket?
Thanks once again.
I have the Krusell case, I really like it, looks great and feels really well made - I don't find it too bulky - but then I have just changed from an XDA 2i so the orbit in a krusell case is still very much smaller. I would happily get another Krusell case.

smcaul, thanks. But, does the Krusell case fit in your trouser pocket without an ugly buldge?
Is that a Krusell in your pocket or are you happy to see me?

Ha ha. Not quite what I meant bdangol, but I would like to know if it does cause so much of a bulge.
time to be constructive.
I don't like any of the leather cases because they make the phone so big. get a nice skin or hard clear plastic case. Ok they don't have pockets for memory cards and stuff but with it being such a hassle to put cards in and out of the Artemis I could not be bothered any way.
Krussell
The first thing I did when I put my Krussell case on was drop the bleedin phone, but due to the sturdy build of the case, and despite dropping everything onto a rough concrete surface; not a mark on the phone or case - so decision made, the phone stays in the Krussell till someone prises it from my cold dead hands, or I sell it all on ebay, which ever comes soonest...bulky or not - job done!
you could buy a vintage red telephone box and put a personal computer in it and a camera. if you drop that.....hell you cant even pick it up
I've got a Piel Frama and it's very nice, but I can't carry credit cards with me. Does the Krusell case take a credit card or two in the flap? The last one I had for a Hermes took 3 cards...
Yes it does, and spaces for two full sized SD cards for some reason, but handy for an adaptor at least.
I bought a Krussel case a few weeks ago and mean to do a write up now I have had it for long enough to spot the pros and cons.
I'm using this Krusell case as well, so maybe a mini-review in few words:
It makes artemis more chubby, yes. But also makes me less worried about scratching, dropping, stepping on, whatever elese, on my pda. It's nice, black&beige shining armor Another good functionality - camera lens is hidden, no worry about scratching it. And at last - if you want flip the top (to attach Krusell logo to magnet) make sure you deattach your swivel from multidapt cradle or you'll have very bad scar on top.
Hi,
I like the Krusell orbit leather case in combination with the windshield holder. A real perfect combination. Krusell is also cheaper than Piel.
Regards,
Daantje
I use the Krussell case and clip it on to my belt. I also purchased the Krussell bicycle mount and put my XDA Orbit on my handlebars running TomTom if need to calcuate a fast route or am biking somewhere new. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with it. The Krussell case I had for my XDA Exec (HTC Universal) was nowhere near as good quality as this one. My only complaint is that the fastening flap goes directly over the USB mini-port, making headset use fiddly but possible.
Krusell Case for "Orbit"
Very nice case but the Belt clip came off on mine after a few weeks, now have to use the belt loops, OK but inconvenient to remove case. My "biggest gripe" is that it's a bit "big" for my Orbit so I would shop around a bit more & let me know if you find a better fit!
Hi guys,
Just got my Orbit and need to choose a case for it before I use it as its cost a lot of £££ and I want to keep it looking nice.
I'm looking for a case that:
- is small, light and snug fitting so doesn't detract from nice Orbit size / shape
- good protection from knocks and the occasional drop
- easy to get the orbit in and out for when using sat nav in cradle
- looks good
- protects from dirt
- protects the screen when not in use
- still access wi-fi, stylus, ports etc
For those reasons I have discounted the silicon cases and have plumped for either the Krussell leather case (from ebay @ £10 - are they real or fakes?) or the aluminium case...
Both are similar prices, so I am really looking for people have tried one or both for advice on which case best meets the needs above...
Cheers

lol, brilliant! i have a Aluminium Case for my MDACIII which looks great (until it gets scratched ) but is a bit fiddely at times...
Thanks NM8 but I have kind of discounted the sandwich bag and silicon case option.... its def either leather or aluminium...
Think I might just have to get one and give it a try and see what its like... then i'll have to re-sell and buy the other if the first is rubbish!
I actually use a Black Aluminium case for my Artemis which is nice and looks great. Tjhere are so many versions I have the PDAir brand which I think is the best cosmetically (design).
The only problem with it is when I am sending SMS. Because Im right handed, the front of the case gets in the way when opened so I cant use single hand to compose SMS.
Otherwise its a brilliant piece of protection!
I use the silicon case and it's perfect for my needs. I broke one of my pdas because it fell out of my shirt pocket when I picked something up from the floor. The display broke and I had to buy a new one. The silicon case is a little bit sticky. The protection is not the best if you really drop but it's not as bulky as other cases, I have my pda in my pants most of the time. Leater or aluminium would make it too bukly.
Cheers mate, got a silicon case for my K800i and whilst its my preferred option for that phone (along with a screen protector) I wouldn't have one for my Orbit as there is nothing to protect the touch screen...
Still looking for opinions from people who have the aluminium or leather cases what they think...
I have a Krussel, it is good and comes with a belt clip as standard. It has a few drawbacks the worst I guess it that if you use the dashboard hanger the flap falls down over the screen! Other than that it is great! The stiffener in the flap really does protect the screen when it is closed though.
Update... after much thinking and surfing cases i'm considering are:
Case 1 Looks a bit cheap and nasty but I like the style.....
Case 2 - Looks a lot nicer version of the above and seems to have better cut outs on the back. Think this is my fave....
Krussell case - looks nice but most expensive...
Any thoughts appreciated... especially from anyone who has any of the above....
PLUS - not sure whether to go for "book" type opening or "flip up".
Decided against the aluminium case after watching the youtube review and they said you can't get the stylus out without taking it out of the case....
I have been using the Pdair Aluminium case for over 12 months, and believe me it has saved my Artemis on a number of occasions, I have put an Orbit into it and the more rounded corners do indeed hinder the stylus removal, but for protection I would put up with the inconveniance - I have both a silver and Black case, the silver one is like new as I have not used it too often, the black one looks like it has seen a fair bit of service but the Artemis is still like new (thankfully) - probably the best £15 I have spent on a case in a very long time to be honest - Mike
Has anybody come across a clear case which prevents the screen being touched?? need one for use on my motorbike whilst using the satnav.
Thanks in anticipation

Have a look at this thread:

Hi gk141054. Yes, you are quite correct, the PDair aluminium case does stop you removing the stylus - but that is fixed in about 5 minutes with a small round file. Or 20 seconds with a Dremmel!! Just grind a little material from that corner - enough to allow removal of the stylus - and blend the edges in smoothly. I can get the stylus out without even looking - the case now acts as a guide for your fingers.
Can definitely agree with Mike- it is a very neat, robust case, and I've been using mine for 12 months too. The hard plastic sreen is good too - you can see caller ID, alarms, etc, without having to take it out of the case. My case is black, and the number of scratches on the edges show just how good it has been at protecting my Artemis. Good enough that I'm looking for one for my Orbit 2.
Hope this helps.
I just sold my HTC EVO 4G for almost $200 dollars (launch day phone) on eBay!
Going to use some of that money to buy some accessories. I've already ordered 3 spare batteries and a wall charger.
I'm looking for a good style'ish case. I'm thinking the Case-Mate barely there aluminum case. How easy do these come on and off if I want to swap batteries OR use it with the Samsung factory card dock?
Which brings up the car dock, how are you guys/gals who have those liking them? I miss having a Garmin GPS, thinking about buying the OEM Samsung dock. I think the screen on my Epic Touch 4G is actually bigger then my GPS anyway! Might make a good in-car GPS unit.
Anyway I mostly want to know about the Case-Mate case, thanks!
Oh, and does anyone have any GOOD pictures of the Case-Mate installed?
im also tempted to get this case, anybody have it already?
I strongly suggest the steinheil ultra crystal screen protector, the matte black tpu case (or smoke grey) and the samsung branded stand/dock that charges a spare battery (and comes with a stock samsung battery as well) for home or office use. I have seen the case mate and IMO it is bulky compared to the tpu - it also weighs more.
The Phone, with the tpu case on, still sits in the samsung home dock perfectly, so no need to take it off to rest the phone there, and if you want to charge the phone and the battery at the same time put the phone in horizontally, and plug a spare (or the stock charger) charger into the phone. Horizontally obviously so you have access to the charging port...
JC
I agree. I have a matte black (matte b/c glossy will show prints and smudges) tpu case that cost $10 incl. shipping. Easy and quick to put on/take off. Plus it won't scratch the phone since it's not hard plastic. OEM cardock is a def. recommended. Had one with my old SGS4G, super conventient especially w/ CarHome Ultra, PowerAmp, and Vlingo/Google Voice Search.**** CHEAPEST place I've found the car mount and desktop dock for $75 combined was @ this site: thecellguru.com/Phones/Samsung/Epic_4G_Touch
How multiple battery friendly is the TPU case? I have 4 batteries. I want to be able to swap them as needed.
Will the TPU case hold up to being removed and put back on a lot like the Case-Mate will? Also, what is the TPU case covered with? I have a slip on silicone case for my phone now and it SUCKS. Everything sticks to it. Lint, hair, dust, dirt, seamen, sand, you name it, it sticks! =D
I sorta liked the idea of the Case-Mate because I was hoping stuff wouldn't stick. I know nothing of the TPU case but it does look like a case Sprint stocks locally. They had this case that said TC on the back of it at a local 3rd party Sprint store.
I have a white note and am looking to purchase a diary type case, screen protector, microSD card and possibly a new back cover proper aluminium not plastic.
So far I am looking at

I am having trouble locating a true aluminum back cover, I understand that signal will drop a bit but I want the aluminium look but more importantly to reduce heat from the phone.
Any other suggestions? Have people got any experience using the above?
Thanks in advance
Hi I don't think I will be much help but here is my experience.
I used to want diary type case + screen protector + aluminum back cover. I went through more than 20 case/cover threads both for N7000 and i717 before I decided on this item.
http://www.stilgut.com/fuer-samsung-galaxy-note/ultra-slimcase-v2-f-galaxy-note-n7000---cognac.php
Before making the final purchase decision, my last two choice was between this item and zenus diary cover. I think they both offer similar type of drop protection and protects screen and back of the phone quite well when the case is closed. (Hence I decided not to buy screen protector nor the aluminum back cover... also money is tight after buying a spare battery)
This case doesn't function as a wallet like some zenus cases do. That's fine with me because Stilgut case thickness as it appears on the product page is the maximum I will tolerate...
I have the GLAS.t and the SDXC card, good choice on both.
The GLAS.t is the best I found and it's impossible to scratch, I even tried with my Global Santoku Knife (the vid is on youtube) and hardly got a scratch. I installed one on my girlfriends iPhone and she dropped it from her lap (~50cm) face down onto the concrete pavement and it only chipped a piece 1mm x 3mm off (much better than a shattered screen).
And the sdxc of course is awesome. I have 3500 songs some mkv movies and a couple seasons of the simpsons, the thing just will not fill!

i'd also recommend an uhs-i card if you can afford it. was out of my budget, and i managed to snag a 32gb sandisk class 4 microsd on sale. i'm pleased with it, but if you plan to taking lots of HD movies or transferring large movie files, you're obviously going to wait a while b/c of its sequential write speeds.
i'm highly doubtful you'll find a true aluminum back cover...i don't think anyone has made it. simply because of its design and how it fits into the phone. the best you'll find are aluminum films set on plastic back covers...lots of those on ebay.
if you're going to be using a dairy cover, there's no real point for a sturdier back cover though
Here's a link of all Sena GS3 cases:

The one I got is right here:
http://www.senacases.com/samsung-cases/galaxy-s-3/lusio/
I chose to go with the pouch for one reason really - I don't know how well the adhesive strip works on the "Magia" wallet case - I would have preferred that one if I knew for a fact that it will function even when the phone is continuously removed from the adhesive strip.
I purchased the brown\beige pouch.. The leather is smooth, and the stitching is flawless. It was a very snug fit the first week, but since breaking it in the phone slides in\out without any problems. The additional space for credit cards is a great addition. Overall the case just looks very high quality. Very happy with this purchase.
Anyways, I don't know if there is any interest for this case - if anyone is interested I will post some pictures.
Hi, its a really nice case and im thinking of buying it. Small question though, does it offer any protection to the corners of the phone in case u drop it by accident?
