The easiest thing to try would be reflashing the recovery. You can easily do this using Rom manager. If you were on clockwork, just select flash clockworkmod recovery. If you were using Amon, select flash alternate recovery. After that completes, try booting to recovery again. See if that takes care of it for you.
Use ROM Manager to reflash your recovery.
Ok i got it now, i really appreciate ur help guys i was getting nervous for a sec lol

So I have rooted but having issues flashing roms. I Have been able to flash to Sprint lovers using the PC36IMG on the root and holding Vol down then Power. But any other rom I have issues with.
I tried to load others via RomManager / Clockwork Mod. I have gotten as far as saying it was successful but it will not boot into the new rom.
Any suggestions?
Try using amon recovery

I have full root and can load Sprint Lovers rom through Fastboot (pc36img). But roms wont boot successfully after installing through recovery. And I have tried multiple roms.

nosympathy wanted to know what recovery you're using: Clockwork or Amon Ra?
Reflash your recovery.

So your problem is only that you can't get into recovery? If it still boots up, then just turn it on and use ROM manager to flash clockwork recovery back on the phone. You should be good to go after that.
So guys I need to your opinion i root my beautiful evo whit unrevoked3 and after I rooted I got Rom manager from the app store and I download the clockworkmod 3.0.0.5 but I been having some problems for example when I tried to put a Rom or a karnel (not always) I got a mssg saying that the action was aborted but 2day I say in the Rom manager that I can flash ra recovery v2.2.2 so here is my question should I put the ra recovery v2.2.2 or I should leave the clockworkmod and thnx in advanced &*)

You can have either or. if you're on clockwork 3.0+ you can't flash files that aren't edify compatible, on amon_ra you don't really have to worry about it. And if you do so, use the latest version, which is attached.
Can u tell me how flash that plz

I'm in agreement with the roxxorz. Use amon RA v2.3 and familiarize yourself with its menus. I recommend that you not use ROM manager because it is far too easy to to flash a Rom, kernel, mod or recovery from within the recovery itself. Furthermore, you have more control over the process....

Place the on the root of your sdcard, then boot into the bootloader, wait, then apply the update, reboot, then reboot into recovery and you'll be on amon_ra 2.3. Then make a backup immediately, because you can't restore clockwork backups.

Put the file on the root of your SD CARD then shutdown your device. While holding the down volume button, press the power button. You will enter the bootloader menu. A few lines of text will scroll on the screen and then the bootloader will automatically detect the PC36IMG.ZIP file and prompt you to install it. Follow the prompts to install. The installation takes less than 10 seconds. Afterwards, reboot.

He's saying you should be comfortable flashing from recovery because you can't flash everything, like a kernel, from rom manager.

Thanks!
I installed Goo manager and chose "boot into recovery" and it worked like a charm. TWRP was right there. I don't know why I couldn't with the 3 finger salute.......

I used goo manager to download and install the latest recovery. Every time I go to boot into recovery it gets to the load screen where the blue letters are at the top but then it vibrates two or three times then reboots the phone like normal. My phone is rooted but not sure why it's doing this....help would be appreciated.

Have you tried flashing TWRP via Odin?
Have you tried to install twrp again?
Try installing cwm (you can use the ROM manager app) and see if that boots. Then try using too to install twrp again.

I haven't tried using Odin yet. I will give that a try. I was hoping I could do it without having to use a computer. I have tried reinstalling twrp using goo manager without success.

Switch to cwm to make sure the recovery partition of the storage is okay. Install cwm via the ROM manager app and make sure you can get into SOME recovery. Then try to install twrp again from too. Switching to another recovery was an important step in that process.

Finally got twrp installed! Goo manager and Rom manager did not work for me....they both would not boot into recovery. I had to use Odin mobile and install the recovery then it would boot. Thank everyone that helped out. Hope this can help someone else.

This is a little late here, but I an others have had trouble booting into recovery after flashing ROMs like the leaked 4.3.
It behaved just like the above when I was trying to get into recovery to restore a nandriod - even after a battery pull for 1 minute. I put in into Download mode, then did a battery pull. After that, it went into recovery with no problem.
Note - if Goo Manager installed 2.5.0.3 - that could be part of the problem, as there are issues with it. I went back to 2.5.0.2.
I think some 4.3 roms make you loose root also read their op.

Omega 1.0 was the first one to indicate it was rooted - but it unrooted me. It was when I initially tried to restore a nandriod when I could not get into recovery. I had read about others not being able to get into recovery after flashing 4.3 also.
