Thank you very much for your skin! It is super good! TT is very easy to use on the Mini HD now!
Small point, could you lighten a little blue buttons not used? They are not very visible on the black background ...
==> I made the blue slightly lighter

Yeahh, Thanks!
hi
where should copy this file plz?
juz open up the zip file and copy the folder 'Skin' from the zip file to the program files > TCPMP directory. From the player choose option > skin > point to the Skin folder and look for the 'skin.xml' file. enjoy...
it's pretty cool!
Could a known working copy of TCPMP be posted here please, I looked round and found the version I'm using now (bimbam69 unofficial build TCPMP ver 0.72RC2-rev:31) but is seems a bit flaky. When loaded and used for the first time it states VORBISLQ plugin is not compatible, I installed again and MPEG4 was reported, closed the app and ran it again and the messages are gone. Is this not a clean install file..? I used this because it was posted by someone who was using it and found it the most stable.
I'd also like to get my bluetooth headphones working with TCPMP as well but at the moment I can hear audio but can't control the play list with the headphone buttons.
any ideas...?

Hi, it's not clear to what you say but I hope you understand, try this after I installed go to options, video, and then GDI, to me it works fine.
Hi, Roy, u can try to use the latest TCPMP player v0.72RC2-rev42, im using it now without any problems. BTW the updated skin with blue + red button posted by me is working fine. Have a try....
I'll try that skin, thanks. Where did you get the latest TCPMP player v0.72RC2-rev42 from? If you have it can you post it for me?

Hi I would like to ask you guys if someone can help me to find a good media player for my XDA II? I would like to ask you also about real player and pocket DivX. When I'm intalling those two applications both ask me ->
would you like to replace the existing file "\Windows\gx.dll" modified on 9/25/2003 with this one? modified on 05/23/2002 then on both installation i pressed "No"(the options are Yes, No, Yes To All, No To All).
So what i would like to ask you is did i choose the right option, because I'm assuming that my existing file is better because it is newer than the file offered by both of the program?
PocketDivx: because when I tried to play the .mpg file under PocketDivx the picture was going very well but there is no sound and also at the end of the clip it makes my XDA II freezing so I have to do reset to be able to get out of that application.
Real Player: Both sound and and picture went well, it just don't play my .mpg file(the same file that I run under PocketDivx)
Is there any player available for XDA II that able to play all type of file?
Regards,
Willy
Try PocketMVP For mpg,mpeg,avi,mp3,ogg,........PocketTV offers extra options for mpeg files .............. 8) As for AMR files , Try Philips platform4 player

Also, it's worth having a look at Beta Player.

Thanks guys for your participation
Well... as I'm a new user of XDA II, could you please guide me how to install the last version of Beta player step by step? and could you please also let me know which file should i run as i'm going to use it in XDAII? because I've finished downloading 2 types of beta player the first one is "betaplayer.arm.cabs.STABLE.0.5" but it seems to me they are only bunch of ".cab" files without any setup.
and the second one is "betaplayer.setup.STABLE.0.5.exe"
The "betaplayer.*.cabs.*.zip" - Contains all the install .cab files for different types of device (arm,mips,sh3). No PC or ActiveSync needed. Cab file should be launched on the device itself.
The "betaplayer.setup.STABLE.0.5.exe"Standalone install for PocketPC or HPC devices. It should be launched on the PC when the PDA is connected via ActiveSync.
so which one should I choose to use(which one better?)?
Regards,
Willy
I would use the stable version otherwise you may have glitches with the beta release.

Just run the .exe. It contains the same Beta Player version as the .cab, just wrapped up in a PC installer. The .cab version is for PocketPC owners who have no PC (Apple users, for example).

Daniel
Thanks
Dear Forum,
Thanks for your help I appreaciate it so much. Keep on Rock'in Here and update this Topic if you have any updates or news about the multimedia player.

is there anything like winamp for ppc 2003 w/ equalizer, etc.
http://www.winampaq.com/new/index.html
it's nice but only support mp3 so not wma and such
For mp3 and ogg...
have a look at MortPlayer. IMHO it's the best audio player available: skinable, easy to use and best of it: it's free!
For video I use the above mentioned beta player.
Greetings,
BGK
the best player is the betaplayer...
Also you may want to take a look at Pocket Music.. It supports MP3, WMA, OGG and more.. It also has 10-band equalizer, skin-changing ability, great-looking GUI and it's free! Below I include the PocketMusic app and some skins (including Winamp look-alike)
I forgot to mention (very sorry) for skin-changing ability you need the PMF Feature pack (shareware). It features additional features like skin-changing, saving, switching between EQ presets and more.. But I think PocketMusic alone is enough.. Anyway here's the file
Questions about BetaPlayer
Dear Forum,
Hi guys! I would like to ask you about the beta player. When the first time I installed the BetaPlayer there was a question about wether i would like to intall it to the main memory or storage card, I chose the storage card instead of the main memory because I thought by installing it to my storage memory it will save my main memory. I ran the program many times and it went well I'm satisfied with that program, until this afternoon I add couple of video clips into my storage card by ejecting my storage card from the XDAII and plug it into my laptop's SD slot then copy and paste it from my laptop(I did not use the crade to copy the video clips) to the storage card. When I'm done copying those files I clicked on savely remove device then I pulled out the SD card from my laptop then plug it into my XDAII then I tried run the Betaplayer but the XDAII is freezing with the processing sign or icon appear on the screen, I could not even turn the XDAII off so I had to unlplug the battery from the XDAII to turn it off. Turned the XDA back on and tried to run the betaplayer again but it didn't do anything(no reaction at all) so I decided to remove that program from the XDAII then I installed it again like the first time I did but it did not ask me again wether I want to install it to the main memory or to the storage device.
So what I would like to ask you guys is, Is it good idea to install program to the storage card instead of main memory?
Regards,
Willy
Problem with Beta Player0.5 stable
Dear Forum,
Hi all! I would like to ask you beta player user. I'm using it and i feel satisfy with that player, so far I just have one problem; sometimes it is freezing just like that, for instance this morning i played a long recorded sound with XDA II program(Album), but because the sound is too long so the XDA turned off automatically, so i turned it back on then check my battery(because i thought my battery was out at the first time), I figured out that my batter was fine so then I decided to run the beta player then i cliked the open file, then I clicked on the video clip file, suddenly the betaplayer automatically closed(the screen went to the main screen), so I tried to run it again from the tool bar of the XDA main screen but what happened was there was no reaction at all, just like nothing clicked(I've tried many times but the result still the same-no reaction at all, the betaplayer did not run at all). I checked on the running program list and did not find beta player on that list. So I had to do the soft reset(I cliked the reset button on the bottom of the PDA) to be able to run it back again. this problem has happened about 3 times since the first time I started to use this program(last thursday). and i also tried to run a video file but the beta player said that "the atimageon is out of memory please try again later or run it with a different application."
Could anyone here help me to tell what is wrong with it? or did I do anything wrong to the beta player?
my beta player is 0.5 stable version
regards,
Willy

Best musicplayer without any doubt is Mortplayer.

1- i'm using the clock on top program , and for some reason the clock doesnt show on top when your making a call or in a call.. i know in wm5 it worked, and thats probably the most important place for the clock
2- the stupid media player video issue, of it rotating every time u go into full screen mode.. i tried installing tcpmp, and it works for audio files, but for some reason u can open video files on it.. i know i used to be able to on wm5
any help would be great, thanks
omar
What program is this exactly? Gotta link? I want to see if I can replicate the problem on my Dash.
TCPMP has known issues on WM6 and Dash but I think there are workarounds.
RE: tcpmp - it sounds like you're missing the codex for your video files. Try downloading the tcpmp complete package from http://mobile.surrealnetworks.com/DashApps.htm.
I use TCPMP all the time for watching LOTR 1 & 2 plus other avi files all the time and it works great.

Here is a plugin for playing FLV under TCPMP (0.8, 0.7)
Backup your own ffmpeg.plg before overwriting.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/tcpmpflvplugin/
There is YouTubedownload.exe tool running on WM6. WM5 to download FLV.

Do you know if can be used with CorePlayer too?
Regards.
Seems not, because CorePlayer can not get the external plugin as the way TCPMP does...
I dont have CorePlayer, so didn't try personally.
Nice one... works with my version of betaplayer 0.81rc1 only if i select video output to "ati imageon"

How did you get it to work? I installed the 2 files in my TCPMP directory and selected Flash Video under settings. When i open You tube under IE and click on a file, TCMP does not open.
Awesome!

Never mind. I figured it out. You have to use the exe file to download the "you tube file" first.

That's what you should be using normally anyway! Thanks to Stealth I've been using the ATI Imageon chip for a while now for every format I play! It definitely makes my battery last much longer.
how do you get it to work. i put the two files in the tcpmp directory and then put youtubedownloader in another. where do you get the file id from?
i put the link of the file into the youtubedownload.exe and it says invalid link. not sure what i am doing wrong
anybody help please?

In order to use the program “YouTubedownload.exe” it is not necessary to put the Link, but the digits of identification of the video.
For example: of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utsHE5xWges the digits are utsHE5xWges
Later uses in TCPMP the video output ATI IMAGEON

With YouTubedownload.exe you directly unload the video to the PPC, and with plugins you can see archivo*.flv in TCPMP.
You do not need the PC, nor to turn the file *.flv to another format.
There it is the difference… GREETINGS
on mediacoder i use the device --> plugins --> digital media player
the output video works great with hermes windows media player...
cheers
how about just playing youtube
perhaps the rom I'm using doesn't do it but how about just playing a youtube vid when browsing youtube, does this work for anyone? been fooling with IE and Opera

I upgraded my phone from 5.x to 6.1 (Kavana Rom) tonight. I'm using the latest version of Kavana's rom, TCMP, the WM5 .dlls, and the wmvplugin stuff. However when I try to open a file from Orb it just warns me that a file with that name already exisist, opens TCMP, and after a few moments tells me that it "could not open URL".
I'm able to see the content at test.orb.com, so I don't know if the issue is with the phone or my installation of Orb. Or if it's a port setting issue, etc.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? And if so how did you resolve it?
Thanks.

Not sure if this is your problem, but I too have never been able to get TCPMP to work with ORB. The only two programs that i got to work with ORB were windows media player and pocket player. Try them and see if you get different results.
BTW: Pocket Player is better than WMP since it has the equializer function
Same Problem Here

I have the exact same problem here, research is now in motion for a fix. I see that you have made the TCPM player the defaul player on your mobile device, but Orb will no longer come in (play) like it did with the other ROM's. I went back to the wmp, now it works fine, but I still want the TCPMP again to be my default player when viewing Orb..........! The PudgeDaddy will come up with a fix, I just know he will..........!
Got The Fix!
Ok, go to Options> Settings> Select Page> File Assiciation> and uncheck (Windows Media Video files (WM,WMV), you have the (wmv and wma codecs already installed in the windows directory). You will also have to uncheck (HTTP protocol), click OK and Orb will now act as the default video player, when viewing Orb media content...............!
One down, one to go
Alright! My problem with being unable to connect was pretty simple. All I had to do was restart Orb and soft reset my device. Now Orb streams like a champ.
However I'm wondering if there's a way to do .mkv files in orb with predefined Audio/Sub options. Right now I'm just muxing out what I don't want, but has anyone been able to tell either their player or their machine to only stream these streams from the container?
Ill be honest. i did get TCPMP to work as well. , but seeing all 3 players that work ( tcpmp, WMP and PocketPlayer) i'd have to say pocket player is the best one of the 3 when it comes to rendering the video with the least amount of video lag/skipping
PocketPlayer!

The PudgeDaddy, my main man, which PocketPlayer version are you talking about here, because Orb and the SlingBox go together like white on rice, like a hand and glove, with Orb, I got all my music and ALL my other media content direct from my home PC anywhere on the planet where I can get a Internet connection. (T-Mobile/Sprint, Get Married)! Those two are a must got to have on ALL my mobile devices, so holla back..............!

Version 3.6
Once Tmobile/AT&T get some new mobiles with faster processors etc with 3G speeds will Orb take the place of Slingbox? I would imagine it would at least bring down the price.
I have been using my Xperia X1 for the last few months, with no problems at all. It is running the 'SEX1' 6.5 ROM (downloaded from here).
I am trying to use the phone as an MP3 player with my headphones. I quite like the default Media Player (using Panels), however the Bass is non-existent. Is there any way I can edit the Registry, or load an 'Audio Manager' as a Cab file?
I have read a couple of posts here, I tried 'CorePlayer' (paid for it & all!) but couldn't get the graphics adjusted how I wanted. I have tried to download 'SRS Wow HD' but kept getting an error message.
All I want is a simple 'Bass Adjustment'. Does anyone have any suggestions?
you could try find a cab for HTC's Audio Booster, or you could find a ROM with it pre-installed, but if you want panels, then you'd probably be better off with a CAB
Solved!! Thank you!
Thanks Johnny4911, I downloaded the HTC Cab, it has made a huge difference. I can adjust all of the graphics and still use the Media Player on the Panels.
I appreciate your advice, simple and effective.
Cheers, Paul.

so, dyou mean, you use Audio Booster ?
I use 862x series ROM. It has pre installed audio booster, but it makes my X1 slower. so, i plan to change ROM with SEX1
Try SRS which I attached.
It works with all roms I had on my Xperia X1, there is an option TruBass which gets a huge amount of bass Also you should try an app called "PocketMusic" which has x-bass option. That combination should satisfied you
Sorry for my english.
