Hallo,
first I must say that I never cooked a rom so I'm a Rom-virgine
I want to edit the original 2.03 GER Rom from HTC.
I Installed XBmod Manila Rhodium but after installation there is no free Memory, so I must cook a ROM by myself. TouchFlow3D is the only thing I want to change.
Can anybody give me a link to a tutorial where I can read everything about Rom-Cooking.
I nee a kitchen... which, where I can find?
Which files to edit...
I hope somebody can spend me some minutes to help a nooby ^^
Maybe "erviuskitchen" is good for cooking, i dunno...
BUT I Think you need 2100+ build 4 TF3D working properly.
musste ma gugge obs irgndwo ne anleitung gibt
On my Diamond with cab installation everything works fine.
Where can I get a 2100+ build? I need a GER version.
Go to www.htc-developers.de. It's a German forum and there you can find a kitchen with a 21042 ROM and SYS. But currently the site seems to be down ...
Check this out, it might spare you the cooking - german rom with xbmod manila - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497204
Hey, nice to see some people really trying to learn and not only: "can you do it for me?"
Here's the easiest way i found to start cooking, it's a really simple kitchen, with it you can dump any open rom and there's also a great video tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413782
And here's i nice post by Suiller explaining a little about some Manilla OEM's, what files you will need, etc...

Good luck man! If you have problems, just pm-me and i'll do my best!
In the Diamond ROM development section, look up the thread 'noob kitchen'. It's a thread where I and a few others help(ed) each other out to get started to cooking.
I posted a link there with a few packages and my entire ROM kitchen with what I ended up with, including my RhodiumManila packages.
Drop me a note on how to get going _after_ you've done at least a few test cooks and/or reading that thread for a bit .
If you're as far that you can dump the original 2.03 HTC ROM, and remove a few things, recook it and flash it: then you're just a few steps away from adding RhodiumManila to it
Hi,
I'm new to the forum, hence would appreciate some guidance & advice. Bought the Touch HD recently, and am keen to have the very nice looking
TF3D/manila 2.5 interface that's flying arnd the forum. But don't know how to go about doing it.
Is there a step-by-step dummies guide somewhere in the forum?
Frm what I can gathered, i think i need to flash my ROM before I can do anything. I see there are so many ROMs around but which should I use?
Info abt my device .. WM6.1 Pro, CE OS 5.2.20757 (Build 20757.1.4.0).
Thanks in advance for the help.
Hello and welcome
There is indeed a superb dummies guide written by Digital Outcast here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377
You will need a rom with TF3D 2.5. Take a look in the rom section and decide for yourself which one to go for based on what people have said in the threads. Bare in mind you can always flash another rom if you don't like it anyway...
At the time of writing Miri's Rev7.1 and Dutty's Leo R2 are the only roms with the very latest TF3D 2.5 (sometimes referred to as 2.6 as it has a weather panel and animated weather on the home screen).
Good luck!
Edit: forgot Miri also has a WM 6.1 rom with TF3D 2.5, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=547278, the two above use windows mobile 6.5
Also, an often forgotten website:
The Wiki Site
The wiki is very useful, with lots of step-by-step instructions on how to flash your ROM, add themes, flash radios, etc. Give it a shot!
There is also another 2.5 ROM from Efsane at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=553888
with the latest WM 6.5 combined
Hi guys,
I am thinking very strongly about building my own WM6.5 rom.
I read and searched through alot of info on kitchens (I hope i understand the term correctly) and I am a little over whelmed by the amout of choices...
As i understand it i will need a kitchen and a base rom (WM6.5 build X) to start with.
I am also fairly fond of a GUI, can someone link me the easyist kitchen to use and where i can find the resources for the latest WM files and TF3D 2.X
Also how do you all test your roms?
Is there a Touch Diamond emulator or virtual phone rom tester?
Sorry to be a noob.
Thanks in advance.

I have tried manys cooked roms in german language, but every rom have some features I don't want to have or have to many problems or errors.
So now I want to cook my own rom only with that features I want to have.
I have taken the last HTC-ROM and have dumped it with ervius visual kitchen.
No I want take everything not needed out of this rom.
What can I took out problem free? Or does it gives a clean basic wm 6.1 rom with now manila, now sample files or anything ready to cook in german?
THX, Chriss
Firstley im a complete newbie to the moddin world
but ad like to update my blackstone to the new TF3D 2.5
any 1 willing to give a guy sum help?
cheers
since touchflo itself is not published as cab files to simply install, you need to flash a rom that comes with the version you like. you'll find different roms here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=453
and a tutorial on how to flash roms can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377
also, as a beginner, you should check out the blackstone wiki
