You need a gold card if your phone was branded when you got it
Ok forgot the detAils.
I have an Orange unlocked phone, means I use whatever sim I want. It was ota froyo updated.
I rooted using unrevoked3, so I can get rid of Orange crap, thus the stock rooted froyo ROM from xda was used. But when I try newest WWE stock froyo 2.29 I get this error.
So how come this unmoded stock from xda works without goldcard?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
You can't, you need a gold card to change to ANY RUU other than the Orange one
Ok ill look into goldcard but why the stock rooted Rom workd from xda.
If I use goldcard OTA will work ? or I need to use goldcard everytime

Because it's a custom ROM, if you want to go to a stock WWE ROM you need a gold card. The OTA might work, you'll need to turn off signature checking in Clockwork Mod, but it likely cause issues
Ok thanks I'm mAking a custom Rom as stock possible now, or will try.

2.29 working fine now.

Stock or custom? Either way, glad you're working
Before i start to root my phone, i would like to make a stock orange ruu. How does one go about doing this.
See if any of these ROMs are correct for you. http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Ace
You don't make a RUU. That is a a factory signed ROM.
Had a look their. I'm looking for an ORANGE Branded ruu. Not sure if any are??

Ok so can I make a factory signed Rom from the phone I have??
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
So Orange would of been sent a RUU from I guess HTC and then they would just add there branding to that RUU??

Download 2.3 ruu from HTC website and run that. You keep your warranty while completely debranding your phone with it - if the purpose of this is warranty claim?
Yh that's the purpose I'll try it out thanks.

okey, i need step by step guide how go back to stock rom, something like what ruu to use and therefore. i've tried before, but i mess with my desire badly.
thanks
I'd say run the gingerbread ruu personally

GB RUU is unbranded so no worry about goldcards etc.

Oh cool nice thanks one question
When I sent my phone to HTC for repair. Can they check it, if I root and flash the mobile ?
Sent from my Desire Z using XDA
If you follow my guide completely(and flash a complete stock rom at the end), they won't be able to tell you ever messed with it.
