Just hours after installing cm 6.1 on my dinc I started getting texts about how to save energy. They say reply to stop but all that does is show the bot its an active number. I'm starting to think their connected since I've had the same number for over 5 years...any thoughts/ideas?

If you're using handcent, under settings, did you check the box that prevents re-sending of a message?
Its happening to me also, I been receiving same text message from various senders since about 1pm! its really pissing me off!!! My setup is in my sig.
Just stock SMS. I even loaded handcent and selected don't resend and it still does. Help

Have you tried going into settings -> applications-> manage-> then force stop mms, then clear data and cache? Also if that dosen't (i think it should) remove all messages from your inbox you should do that also.

Just talked to sprint and the problem is how the SMS gets stuck in a loop on their servers. They asked if i was running any foreign Rom (of course not), as that can cause the corruption. The will have to fix it on their side.

Sprint fixed my SMS from hell. They tried to tell me it was the phones, but considering the sending phone was off, and the receiving phone was still getting them, I proved them wrong. Tier two took over and flushed something on their side and the text messages finally, thankfully stopped.

I recently rooted my phone G2 and flashed CM7 RC4. Everything is fantastic! There is only one thing bugging me and I'm not sure if it is just me. When texting, all sent messages are displayed above the received messages. Is this normal? I can post a picture if needed.

Yea. You have to change the clock settings location. You are using wrong time sone.
Haha, I figured it out. Under the messaging settings, I had "use original timestamps" checked. I unchecked it and now it is back to normal!

good for you
Hey guys
I just got my DHD 2 days ago, and im loving it!
I have a little problem with the stock messaging application though. When someone sends me a message, and I reply instantly, it sometimes shows that my reply was sent before the actual message. Or it says shows that my reply was sent 1 min before the initial message that i received.
For example, I receive a message at 6:39, and i reply to it instantly, it shows that my message was sent at 6:38 therefore it shows my message above the one ive been sent. Im guessing its a time issue. Perhaps my phone is abit delayed?
Another question, Im now using SMS Pop Up, i tried Handcent and Go SMS, but didnt like them as much. I want an App that has the same iphone messaging application, like the same bubbles n push notification n all. Are there other good ones? I didnt like the pop up notification of the Handcent and GO SMS.
Sorry for the long thread. I hope you guys can enlighten me
Happens to me too.
My guess is, that the messaging application simply uses an inaccurate timestamp or simply ignores the "seconds" part of it.
So no one knows how to fix this?

I'm disappointed that no one is able to help

The incoming sms is time stamped from the network. Ur issue probably happens because the person who messages u is on a different network that has a slightly different time. Also make sure ur time app is set to use network time. This might help.

Yeah the person is on a diff network but this didn't use to happen on my Nokia E71. Message times used to be based on my phone's time.
No other solution?
Thanks for your reply.

SMS code 34 error with red triangle when sending text is driving me nuts, has any body had this problem? Is there a fix
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
I get it more often recently. Most annoying thing is that it keeps resending the sms to the recipient, who actually RECEIVES it each time yet the phone tells me there was an error. Sucks bombarding my friends/relatives with literally 20+ of the same sms
Happens to me too. Send like ten texts without knowing it because my phone says it didn't send so I resend it.
