Problem Rom Update

Please help me,
I've tried a rom update. But uring the update my phone
stopped.
All I know see is a screen with red/green/blue and white boxes. On the screen it says Herm100
My phones does not respond to soft/hard reset. Also if I want to sync it, it does not work.
Can anybody help me fix my phones? All ideas welcome!

Probably you've flashed wrong or broken ROM image. Fortunately bootloader is still alive, so you can easily reflash a correct ROM.

but was is the correct rom then?
I've already tried to flash a new Rom but I cannot connect to Active Sync so is gives a error.
I've included a picture of my phone.
The text on the phone is:
Herm100
1PL-1.00
HERM100 MFG
SPL-1.01
At the bottom is says serial.
Could you please provide me with the correct Rom then?

Please correct me if im wrong but is that not a picture of a HTC Hermes??? I didnt even think it had been released yet, let alone any ROM updates?

I got it through my a friend of mine.
But any ideas how to resolve my problem?
Or isn't there a rom available for this phone?

well in your first post you said you were trying to do a ROM update, which file were you using to update...was it actually for your device? at what point did the update stop?

Not gonna work. You need the rom for your phone, which AFAIK hasn't been released yet.

Agreed. Which means you will now probably have to wait until the device is fully released so you can download the proper update and get it back up and running again

Considering that a prerelease of the HTC Star100 fetched 1700 dollars on ebay recently, I think you might have missed a business opportunity by flashing the wrong rom

oww.. but can't get the right Rom from my friend who's phone is working? in order words can I download his Rom?
When its possible than how do I do this?
eventually when putting the rom on my telephone, what a about the active sync connection that doesn't established?

which ROM did u use to update? Did u take from xda FTP??

Anyone from Singapore get Froyo updates ???

Oaoa, I check every 5 minutes and nothing at all. Is the update only apply for Europe only? Is there any links to download the update yet?

u get the "error status 7" is it?

I am trying the manual update. Download the file, change to update.zip, upload to sd card, follow the procedure and ... got error status 7. Google around but still no answer so far ...
Appreciate very much if anyone can help.

I think I found out the problem. In Singapore, the Eclair version is considered branded, build 1.19, which include the chinese keyboard and other stuffs that normal version does not have. And hence, the OTA update downloaded does not fit to it.
So I guess, either we wait for the OTA upgrade or we try to flash some other stock rom and do the manual update ...
So troublesome to try since need to redo all the settings, installing software ...
You guys got any ideas.

I think is because of the roms u guys using now. For now, only WWE or Europe Rom is eligible for update.
Before update to Froyo, I got software version 1.21.

okie, after a lot of readings, confirm that Asia rom got no update yet. So if wanna get the update, need to flash the WWE rom 1.21.405.2 first, then upgrade. Or else, wait for HTC to launch the asia rom upgrade.
So sad, since Asia rom got chinese keyboard (I think this is the only difference), if we try to use WWE general rom, we need to find the way ourself. So, either wait or itchy do, it's up to us.

Froyo includes all the keyboard u need. u can type chinese (pin yin or zhu yin or anything u like) even writting recognition (I haven't try that yet).
But definitely got chinese keyboard.

oh, okay, thx a lot. So I should try to flash WWE rom then upgrade, shouldn't I? Anyone from Asia got problem of flashing WWE general rom? or put in another way, anyone from Asia successfully upgrade to Froyo?

OK those from Asia who want to do the update to froyo:
I don't know if it will work directly from 1.19, you can try, but you may need to get your phone to WWE v 1.21 first. For this you WILL need a gold card, you will also need a goldcard in order to upgrade to froyo from the update.zip
I am doing this as we speak, for the nth time rebooting hoping it works this time.
IF it works, and it's a big IF right now, I will post detailed instructions.
Edit: GOT IT! Woo hoo.
Stay tuned for a post in the General section about how to upgrade to Froyo if your hands are itchy like mine

haha, very itchy, so try to flash the 1.21 rom then magic happens, got updates when press check now and ... installing. Everything works great. In fact, do not need to do the manual update, OTA will do.

Not sure of a site, but, the phone can check automatically to see if you've got the latest version - go to Settings>Phone Update.

HTC Mazaa Stock ROM Mango [FFU]

Hey everyone,
This a stock ROM for the HTC Mazaa.

It's just an FFU, but i'm sure some will find a use for it.

I need 7720.500 ROM. Can you please share it?

My Mazaa with .500 got bricked, so I got it replaced and got one with .68 instead.
I'm running it on 8107 right now, but will be trying to update it to tango tonight.
I've given up on the FFU-PartTool. Tried it a few months ago - it keeps crashing at some stage. Even got in touch with Nokser, but to no avail.
But I will be really interested if you get something working. And I'm willing to test/help.
Keep me in the loop.

Why don't you ask your contacts for .500. That is the only way we can unlock our HTC Mazaa's bootloader. And possibly install a custom rom.
I am also planning to updating to Tango tonight.

Just keep hitting " Check for Update " button n when it says Upgrade available then u will know it's there..

Anyway, nobody knows the release dates for any update version, in any region, on any phone until it has arrived.
You don't need to start a new thread to figure that out.
