[Q] cm7 rc1. wimax? - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

ok so i have been using the cm7 rc1 rom for about 2 hours. i find it amazing since this is the first cyanogen anything i have flashed. but then after about 30 min i found there is no 4g so i did some searching and seen people using 4g on rc1 but i haven't seen anything related to how they got it. so what i am trying to figure out is how did they get it? because the only gb roms i have seen with 4g are salvage and the gginggerbread 6 rom

RC1 does not have wimax. The latest cyanogen nightlies released after RC1 have it working. Download the ones that say supersonic here:
http://mirror.teamdouche.net/?type=nightly
I have 8 installed and am going to flash 12. Wimax works great.

thanks. i had no idea they kept up with the nightlys after the rc's. im still pretty new to all this

[Q] most stable froyo rom?

Okay this might not be the right place but I got a question.
What is the most stable froyo rom out there for the slide atm?
Meaning with full working keyboard lights, button or as close as possible. Along with the camera and camcorder working great. Just mostly everything working as good as possible. If you could, can you guys give an input on whichever rom. I really appreaciate it because the scene is booming with roms and updates for them. Thank you again in advance

CM6 RC1 is pretty stable, but you might prefer using the Eugene or teamfenix Froyo roms. Worth giving them all a try. I'm currently using the CM6 nightlies.
I just installed the new Cyanogen 6.0.0 RC1, and so far it is stable, however it is the first froyo rom I've tried, so I cannot compare to others. However, camera/recorder works, wifi works (haven't tried tether yet). No FC's yet, and a2sdfat seems to be working without issue.
Thanks for the quick replies everyone! Ill definately be looking into them.

How about swype? I thought the advantage of team fenix was the ability to install swype. Has this been solved on CM6 RC1?
I installed Swype with no problem on Cyanogen's new FroYo ROM. I took the .apk from the kanged/remixed page's Swype link and used Astro to install from SD.

[Q] CM7 Nightly builds??

Do you guys recomend i flash all the nightly builds as they are updated?
and do i flash through CWM?
If a release candidate comes out we recommend you flash that... otherwise its up to you if you want to flash the nightlies.

And yes, you flash through CWM...
Don't forget to do a nandroid backup first!

From my permarooted 1209mhz G2 with CM7 nightly 6

Should I flash CM7_RC2 or latest Nightly??

Ummmm.... which one should I flash??
Oh and why
Thanks =)
The Nightly's has fixed some issues in the last RC. Flash the Nightly.

The latest nightly obviously is more up to date, and it of course has the fixes that the RC2 doesn't. I don't think anyone will tell you that it's any more or less stable than the RC2. For most people, the GPS has been fixed in the last few builds as well.
If I had to give a recommendation I'd say flash the nightly, the RC2 is quite old at this point as far as builds go.
Which to flash
I believe you have to flash RC2 and then the latest nightly over it, but I could be wrong on that, its just what I always have done. In fact I suggest you flash the new nightlies every time they come out. There have been a couple of times where the new nightly has screwed up more then it has fixed but the majority of the time its an improvement. Actually let me correct myself. usually I don't notice a difference however if you read the discussion forum for the nightlies then you see the problems that people had been having and are being fixed so its nice to know that if you had tried what they did it will now work

[Q] Synergy nightly

Is the synergy nightly updates working yet or do I still need to download from link? Asking just to make sure I am not having an issue, so far I am digging this rom.
As of the latest nightly; it is not working. I think it will be easier once they get it working though.
Awesome ROM
Yea, it doesn't seem to work in all parts from what I can see.

[Q] Running Synergy RC2

I am running the RC2 and I came from Fresh 4.2 where the updates show in the Fresh Updater, However in the Synerfy one it only shows one download. My question is how do you get the nightlies for RC2. Im not a noob just normally either went to Freshes website and checked or read the forums, just little confused with the new rom?
For the most part, Myn offers nightlies prior to a release candidate (RC) and while still is beta form. He rarely, if ever, offer nightly builds afterward reaching RC status.
Posting & replying from my EVO 4G
I don't think there are nightlies to it. The Synergy Kingdom nightlies are based off something completely different.
