Was wondering what it takes to get a section for my device? There is a great deal of development on the LG Ally and I would love to have a section of my own to post to.
Sent from my Ally using XDA App
I agree on an LG Ally section. The Ally has great dev's and i feel this device has more potential to expand even further in the dev world on xda.
I support this idea.
Even though the Ally is older, and may not be up to par with some of the other phones we have here, there is a lot of development going on.
I support the idea as well.
I support the idea as well. The ally is a great little phone with great devs.
I too would like to see an Ally section.
I'd like to see a Ally section but realistically, isn't Verizon dropping Ally this month?
Agreed... there is a good community for ally development but no good home.
We just want a section on XDA!
I myself don't use the ally anymore. However I think this is one of the best android forums out there. And I would love to see the LG ally get its own section. This is the ONLY forum I use and Its just amazing. The guys here and the collection of members and devs truly are remarkable.
I think it would be amazing if the LG Ally got its own section on XDA
I agree would be a great forum with loads of activity.
I would like a Ally section as well!!
i bought that phone not yet arived
As an Ally owner and someone who has received great benefit from GRZLA's work and the work of others in the Ally community I 100% agree. We need an LG Ally forum on XDA.
I agree, xda needs an ally section. I love this website, but I stopped using it so much because xda does not support the ally.
i would also like to see an lg ally section.
+1

I, too would love to see an Ally section on XDA. Great things are coming from devs of this phone, and great things come out of this forum. A section for this device would be great. It may be old, but it's still a great phone! :-D
An Ally section is needed. The device and developers deserve it

id like to see a new section created for the upcoming sayno zio android phone from sprint. looks to be the hero replacement.
Hasn't been enough interest for that. If that changes, we'll add a forum.

well i could say the same for the epic and lack of development but thanks anyways. hopefully we can add this phone here.
I am in for Zio..
Appreciate a Zio forum...
Got my vote too.
zio
I would also like to see a zio section
Me too, plus the zio is on Cricket too!
Yes let's get a section rolling for the Zio, both cricket/sprint have it now.
It's the only reason I come here...
Sent from my Zio using XDA App
can somebody with a Sprint zio do a ROM dump! please! so that we can update our cricket ones to 2.1 we are stuck on 1.6 which is not horrible but would love to have the built in exchange / activsync support.. Than you in advance!

There's a 12 page thread on it in the Android Dev forum here:
http:\\ ip208-100-42-21.static.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769571
Androidforums also added a zio section:
http://androidforums.com/kyocera-zio/
That 12 page thread is now 19 pages. Without it's own forum, it holds back development since all the info is spread in different places.
There are already a lot of pages:
http://www.google.com/search?q=site:xda-developers.com+zio+kyocera
It would be great to have a dedicated Zio section
Yes a zio section would be great considering I own one! but it doesn't seem to get much love from developers due to the other "high end" phones
Sent from my Zio using XDA App
i picked up a free zio today at bb its for a house phone/teenager nice lil guy its gonna be pretty solid if we can get 2.2 on it
Sent from my EVO 4G using Tapatalk
I want one... pretty please.
I hope some nice person gets us 2.2
Guess Sprint and Cricket carrying it helps a bit but also murks the water abit. I would really love some custom roms and a super awesome cook.
Agreed. Kyocera/Sanyo zio section would be much appreciated.
I haven't been a member here for a long time, yet already I feel part of this community. This one of the best online communities I've ever participated in and a large amount of the readers are very helpful. At least it has been so in my experience. Has this been the common experience? Does everyone feel satisfied with XDA? I'm eager to find out what the community thinks about this
Optimus M XDA Premium
i feel the same way too
i love this community too except for the restiction that all members with 10 post less can pose a thing in the development boards
It's the one and only forum with 4 milion members with phones or tablets XD
Pretty cool if you ask me. Good development too

Even after I no longer own a DInc2, I still find myself visiting these forums more than the GS3 forums. Why? Because the Inc2 community is so chill and we also have awesome devs
(CondemnedSoul, Aeroevan, Macrodroid, Tazzpatriot, Nitsuj17, etc.) I also can't stay away from bashing on Verizon's OTA not being released yet. XD

So as of late we have been seeing a lot of fellow members saying good bye. Then New good bye threads pop up here and there and get locked.
This thread is for farewells and what not. Let's keep thread clutter to a minimum and let us know why you moved on.

No thanks I like it here even more than the GNexus forums. Going to the Note 2 soon but I won't be saying any goodbyes. It's like oh dear god I never said good bye to HTC evo forum... I better post a thread so they don't send a search party.

Uh I believe I'm the culprit for starting goodbye threads. I left the E4GT for a note 2 and thought I'd be nice to say goodbye. Boy was I wrong!
P.S. I would give this thread about 20 to 30 minutes before its locked as well. Sad to say it's a sign of the times.

If a thread is locked trust me it's all for a good reason. The moderators have experience and can tell when a thread will turn bad, thus they will lock it or simply clean it if possible.
They lock goodbye threads cuz they are nothing but clutter. No one wants to scroll thru a dozen or more goodbye threads just to get to the actual general section. This one will probably be stickied like the other official goodbye threads in the other device forums. I've moved on to the sgs3 but still pop over here to see what's going on, my wife will be getting my sgs2 at the end of the month but she's not a phone nerd lol. She's got a photon for now which will replace my og evo when the new digitizer gets here for the photon. Then next month ill be off to the note 2 waiting for the price to come down a bit and my upgrade isn't ready til Dec 1.

Well if that's the case, I think they should unlock my original thread, and make that one the sticky considering that it's the OG goodbye thread.

Actually its not, about 15 or so were locked before yours they've been locking them since forever, along with best rom threads. If you scroll down the general list/click thru the pages you'll find a bunch of locked goodbye/best rom threads. They lock them on all device forums, and have now started creating and stickying official goodbye threads so ppl can post their peace without clogging up the whole forum, if everyone created a goodbye thread there would be so many of them no one would be able to find anything between them all.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
I have made this a sticky. All other goodbye threads will be closed from here on out. OP Please change title of thread to official goodbye thread.
Lets keep the goodbye short and sweet. No fighting at all and everyone be polite and civil. DO NOT argue about other phones, services, or any other garbage in here
OP PLEASE update your op with some of my instructions. Thanks and enjoy
Got my note 2.. But I haven't said good bye.. I love this community

It has nothing to do with that. My theory is just keep your mouth shut. Its a internet blog not your high graduation. Trust me if you leave a forum and your not a developer then NO BODY WILL MISS YOU. Just buy your new toy and be gone.

How is "keep your mouth shut" a theory? If people want to say goodbye, then let them... geez.

I don't see why anyone would bleach with development for this phone being so good! With the JB TW leaks out its a sure sign that great things are coming to this phone!
Anyway, enjoy your new phones! Whatever they may be
Got rid of my E4GT finally and got a nexus s. I'm very happy that I did. This phone has official stable cm10 with great data speeds and working update profile/prl

A dev is trying to build AOSP here. Maybe by Christmas
Sent from my LG-LS970 using Tapatalk 2
Seems promising
there are builds floating around for the sprint version. tho idk whats working(perhaps nothing other than booting).
IRC is the place to be. check the sticky at the top of the general forums or Q&A forums.
Unfortunately they have a newer kennel than the US devices. Which makes it much harder to convert ours to jellybean.
That being said, you will find there are a handful of guys working on it on IRC. And trust me, they want it as bad as we do. Rest assured, we have a nice group of devs. This is the quiet before the Storm

I am coming to the Optimus community from the Evo 3D. With the bootloader we had to overcome, I have complete faith in the optimus devs. Hell, we've already got an unlocked bootloader, just a lil longer till we have some awesome roms.
I'm coming from the 3VO as well. I have full faith in the dev community here. Can't wait
I'm guessing we'll have an AOSP build by early January. It's going to be awesome!
