If you havent heard yet our friend N_I_X has decided to pass on the porting and fixing of MIUI for the INC. to another developer. I am posting this without his permission but based on his posts he is willing to partial assist and release his "notes" on MIUI to whoever is intersted in taking it on. I know there is alot of people that love this ROM but as of yet there has been no one that has contacted him willing to step up.
I am posting this becuase i really enjoying running this rom and would still like to see updates for it. { warning} from what N_I_X has said is it can be frustrating at times because of not having source and also language barrier..
Please if you are interested in taking over let us know or if you are interested in seeing someone take over second my notion for it that why interested devs will see the interest on our part... I have faith in the INC community that we will find someone. Thank you! ***** Hopefully this is the right section if not please move****and I apologize

this has been my daily and I'd be very sad to see it stop getting updates/improvements ... if I knew how to, I would pick it up. I hope someone does.

So, as we approach the fork on the road, one leading towards the EVO 3D and the other towards the Samsung Galaxy SII, many users are left waiting to see which one of these beasts will pick up more development heat. Like myself, many folks are completely split and are solely depending on this little bit of information.
Therefore, I ask, out of developers that have made the EVO the great device that it is, where are you headed?
I KNOW THIS THREAD MIGHT BE UNCONVENTIONAL FOR THIS SECTION OF THE FORUMS, BUT PLEASE CONSIDER LEAVING IT HERE AS IT WILL BE EASIER IN GETTING THE ATTENTION OF DEVELOPERS OVER REGULAR USERS. THANKS!
Yeah just read an article today about the 3d apparently having a crypto signed bootloader. Not much developing going on with that... Without an eng leak anyhow...turned me off of it for a bit. Not that I'm a dev, I consider myself a themer really.

So is everyone that voted thus far really a "developer?" On another note, CM would likely be developed on both if a) the HTC bootloader is cracked, b) the GS2 isn't the same POS the GS1 is.
I am interested in the results of this poll as well.

Obviously not, but you know, there are always those %&$* out there. (BTW, the votes are public, so you can see where those that matter are leaning towards.)
I just figured some of the true developers will see this and guide us in a particular direction. Don't blame me for trying.
I will be getting a EVO 3D without a doubt. Bootloaders can be cracked. Might have to buy XTC to see if we can root that way. It's like the gold card method. Either way, the EVO 3D will be a mind blower and WILL be rooted.

I am getting the 3D regardless of when it'll be rooted. I am currently running stock on my OG EVO anyway. I am sure it wont hurt to go without root for a little while and have a far superior phone than the samjunk.
I'm not a dev yet, but I think if I gave myself some time I could do it. I already mod ROM's to my liking and I am a programmer. But college life usually gets to me lol I was thinking sometime this Summer to cook my own ROM up; if time permitted. If that happens then I will dev for the Evo 4G.
Unless I get some extra grant money lol then I'm not sure! A cell phone to dev is a college expense if you're a Computer Science major right

It's sad that the mods are on such a witch hunt that you even have to put that there. IMHO this is *exactly* the type of post that should be in the /dev section... along with 10-20 other daily posts that are direct questions to/for developers.

Well, that's not a very good way to get information.
It's a slower community. It doesn't see much development anymore and a lot of people have moved on to better phones.
With the 10 or so hours between posts maybe you should have checked out the development section and the ROM Bible and n00b FAQ inside.
If there's something you can't find in those, come on back and we'll see what we can do for you. (I'll answer you to the best of my ability!)
Not trying to be a ****, but have some patience or take the initiative.
Even after I no longer own a DInc2, I still find myself visiting these forums more than the GS3 forums. Why? Because the Inc2 community is so chill and we also have awesome devs
(CondemnedSoul, Aeroevan, Macrodroid, Tazzpatriot, Nitsuj17, etc.) I also can't stay away from bashing on Verizon's OTA not being released yet. XD

Man, its nothing to get worked up over everybody. Even if he was in the wrong (which I disagree) its not like hes posting in the dev section or spamming every section.
Considering we haven't had a leak for almost 2 weeks now theres a good chance a lot of people aren't checking everyday anymore. (The usual routes for getting the ota leaks are still not working anyway). Dont know how theirs was released yet.
I for one would not have known until someone mentioned it.
I appreciate the updates immunityx has been giving us personally.
