I'm also running Genocide v0.2a as a kernel if that is of any help.
I woke up this morning to my phone fully rebooted which has happened at random times on Genocide but it's been fine for the most part but today I was trying to install the D3 clock as well as the gbkb and I'm getting a parse error on all of them when they had worked previously. I tried reinstalling stock apps and parsing error as well, how would I fix this?

I don't think that the kernel would be the reason for the random reboots. What Rom are you running?
Have you "checked" the "unknown sources" box in your settings>applications menu? Sometimes (all the time??) my Epic will not reload apps from a backup/restore program without that box checked. Most of the apps that I reinstall are from the market, but weren't downloaded as an Epic app because of the way our phones - using custom roms - had to be "identified" as something else (mine showed me as a nexus!)
Ok - with all that being said, it sounds like there could be an RFS/Ext4 issue. (Amend scipt files being loaded to an Ext4 file system or vice versa. ??)

I was not having this issue until flashing nightly #14 and also RC2 yesterday. Doing a nandroid backup of my nightly #13 doesn't help either, even though on #13 I didn't have this problem. It is driving me CRAZY! I need to download things! ANYONE KNOW A FIX or know what is wrong? PLEASE HELP!
I had the same problem, except when I go to my media (i.e. music, gallery, camera, video), the message keeps popping up on my screen "Sorry! The process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." When I go to try again, the message pops up again.

Usually that process gets killed because of not enough avalible free memory. Check how much free ram u got with titanium backup or autokiller memory optimizer. Hope this helps

I've got an HTC Evo running CyanogenMod 7.0.3.1 and when I try to install the new Google Music Beta app from the market it comes back with "Install Unsuccessful" and then gives me "Package file not signed correctly". I've tried multiple times with no luck, any ideas as to how I might get around this. Thanks in advance!

Unsuccessful, but for "
I'm on a Nexus One and also cannot install, but error says: "Application cannot be installed in the default install location."
I've tried clearing app market cache and unmounting SD card, but no workie.
Any ideas?
Mine installed just fine. I'm running warm 2.2... Not sure what's going on. Any other apps not installing properly?
Other installs working fine
I tried two other apps and they both installed fine. I tried the following remedies, none of which worked. Not sure what to try next...
unmount/remount sd card
airplane mode on/off
soft reset
uninstall app market updates
I'm running stock 2.3.3 on unrooted N1.
i am still waiting on my invite but i hope i dont have any problems on the install
All other apps install fine for me, I just can't get the music beta app to install. I installed the Netflix app today from the market with no problem.

I had an issue installing Google music on cm7 , I narrowed it down to the honeycomb port music apk I had installed. I'd suggest using root explorer and deleting any other music player you have installed.
I was using honeycomb port as well...it installed just fine for me from the market as an update...I had installed honeycomb port as system app maybe that's why it worked with no problems...

Yeah, I installed mine just fine. Don't have an invite, but it will not open at all. Just keeps FC on me. I don't get it. It is a Google app running on a Google OS. However, I am running Virus Gingersense Sense 3.0 so maybe that is the issue.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I finally got it working. I ended up remounting the file system as writeable and deleting the com.android.music.apk file that was there already. It installed fine after i cleared that up.
thanks again!
I got to download with no problems on CM7 7.0.3.1 from the market.

Install Problem: Music Beta
I'm on an unrooted stock N1 running 2.3.4 and Music Beta won't install in the default install location. I have no idea what is going on.
If people are talking about the google 3.0 honeycomb player. I just ran it on virus AB froyo.
Just gotta make sure to rename or delete the com.googlemusic.apk that already exists in system/app (if one already does)
Edit: sorry, i missed that someone already got it fixed.

The android market just gives me that striped animation anytime I try downloading an app. Have tried clearing the market cache, google framework service cache nothing seems to work! Just the new EU firmware OTA and rooted and removed the bloat apps and downloaded script manager from the market without any problems. Then tried to download a busybox app...thats when the market just stuck on the stripped animation and its been that way with everything else I've tried from the market incuding updates to my apps. Please any help guys??

Done a restart ?
If it does not help: Because you are rooted, you should be able to delete the Android Market. You can get the AndroidMarket.apk from the net and reinstall it(Unknown Sources have to be checked). But before doing something fancy, you should do a BACKUP, with CWM or RZR.

Yeah several restarts. Just got an update, it appears the youtube app also gets stuck with the rotating circle...cant load the video. Cant help but assume these are related. And also I've tried this on both wifi and 3G, same.

This is strange indeed. If even the solution above doesn't help, I would recommend you to flash you ROM via ODIN. Usually it should replace the missing files, so this could work. Do a Backup as mentioned above.
BTW: But generally your internet works? (via Browser)

Yes my internet works fine. I actually cant do anything requiring a usb cable since I lost mine and wont be getting a new one till the weekend maybe. I actually tried some other things like clearing the cache partition in recovery (stock) and logging out of gTalk and relogging in which solved similar problems for people online. Just seems everything is fine...except the market cant connect and download stuff, and youtube cant connect and load videos...I feel its a google account problem surely but dont have a clue what to do. Thanks for your response all the same.
First......Ensure SD Card is properly seated, open phone and make sure of this!!!
Do these :
Settings/Applications/Manage
Applications/All/
Downloads/Clear Data.
Media Storage/Clear Data....

I cant quite explain what happened, but I fixed it. It had to do with a botched backup/uninstall of google books with TB. I tried to back it up but it seemed to just hang up. Then I killed TB in the Task Manager and restarted it. I realised a backup had been made for the older version(1.46) instead of the new version(1.52). Google Books showed up as a system app after my last FW upgrade and I updated it (through the market) but the update made the app unusable(FC everytime I start it). I ignored all that at the time since I didnt use it actually. Tried to remove it yesterday and I guess that set this whole mess in motion. Thanks to all
Hi I'm running juggernaut 5.0 and I have this problem where my market will downgrade to an older version and then update to the new version. Anyway I can keep it updated?

"Not Supported" message
I'm having an issue with the Market (Google Play): About 70% of the apps I look at in the Market tell me "Your device isn't compatible with this item".
At first I thought it was a botched ROM flash (tuesday -new beggining) so I did a full wipe & reloaded the same ROM; same issue (about 90% of apps gave that error).
I recently loaded Paradox II (the 3/05 release) and did a full wipe as directed (flashed the wipe util's that were posted). Before restoring any of my apps I checked the market for the paid ones I use that were installed while on the rooted factory ROM (like MyBackup Pro) and got the same message. Some of the apps that "weren't supported" when on the Tuesday ROM were all the sudden supported & downloadable.
I had all apps backed up with MyBackup Pro and installed just the apps (no settings) using the BusyBox option. Every app worked just fine & market links restored but when going to market to update one of the installed & working apps, it'd say not compatible.
Thinking this was a market issue, I uninstalled the updates, cleared data/cache, and installed various versions of Market (including the new one) that were talked about in other threads about Market errors... did not fix it.
When going to the Market on my computer and looking at apps that are installed or were installed pre-custom ROM, it has my SGH-T989 grayed out. I checked build.prop and couldn't see anything with the device identification that looked wrong.
This is preventing a lot of my installed apps to not be able to be updated... Any ideas as to what is causing this? Did I fubar something when doing the first custom ROM flash?
Here are some of the major apps that are saying they are incompatible:
Adobe Flash Player
Astrid Task
Documents to Go
Dolphin Browser HD
DropBox
MyBackupPro
SuperUser

Is there a list of these files anywhere that you know of? I ran in to an issue a while back on my G2x when doing something similar to this after a failed theme flash.
Under system/app I have marketupdater.apk but nothing else...
/data/app. Mine is called com.android.vending

Update on this issue...
I cleared the cache/data for Play Store, uninstalled updates, turned off data, cleared cache/data for Market, went through and deleted all Market related apps/folders:
data/data/com.android.vending (folder)
data/data/com.android.vending.updater (folder)
data/app/com.android.vending.apk
system/app/MarketUpdater.apk
system/app/vending.apk
- I reinstalled the last version of Market that was posted on goo then let it update to Play Store. This resulted in more apps being "compatible" but still had quite a few coming up as "incompatible" (that I had installed & knew worked on the GS2). After further research I found a scenario on another Samsung phone that the lowering the LCD Density caused this same issue. After setting it back to 240 & reinstalling the Market again, the issue was resolved...
I would love to lower the density again but don't want to mess up the Market. Does anyone know of a tweak that will allow this (I'm thinking a build.prop mod)?
Usually every time I exit a application that demands a lot likes games and emulators I get a error saying "com.android.systemui has stopped working" and when I click "Ok" it locks my phone so I have to unlock it again and opens the same application in portrait mode even if the same application is forced into landscape. This started happening for no reason I know. I'm using ViperOneM8 1.7.1 Rom and Elemental-X 0.19 Kernel. I think it may be something with the installed apps I have. I've just uninstalled SoftkeyZ to see if It would fix it because everything Else I've uninstalled has not worked. I have re flashed my stock backup and the same version of ViperOneM8 twice and still persist to be there. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
