Hey guys. you may remember my thread with a list of most custom roms for the hero. well, i had some free time the last few days and got bored so i made this homepage

It's a improved version of the thread. i also added a board, so you can discuss about the stuff and tell me about new stuff i don't now and that should be added to the lists.
i'm not sure if you like / need such a page but i had no idea what to do with my free time
i hope you like my idea.
(there are some roms missing like vanillaeclair, maybe some of you guys have this rom on your pcs and can send me this. just write me a pm. thank you)

#push i noticed many people don't know about my rom overview so i thougt this maybe still helpfull.
it would be great if you guys write your experience in the comments of the roms. this will help other users to find the best rom

Nice idea! ive just uploaded a 6.5 stock like rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3957547#post3957547 . feel free to add it if you like. if you keep this up to date maybe it should be stickied here
I also think it's cool, but, man that's a bunch of roms to keep up with!
I'm not worried that mine isn't there.

Thanks and great idea. I first read your post in the general area and read the blog, but didn't have time to reply.
FWIW, and just so you know, it's against Google's Terms to in any way explicitly entice, tell, or ask someone to click on your google ads.
Considering you are hoping on some form of monetization from this blog, blogger is a google product, and if google catches you (you even say it right on the page...) they will take away your account and any money it has earned.
Just thought I'd let you know so you didn't get in trouble.

cheers but these roms arent about making money. thats what our jobs are for. theyre about doing somthing you enjoy and sharing what you do with the community here. if people want to donate theyre welcome to but they dont have to pay to use the things on this site. yes it may help the popularity of my roms but it also helps with the idea of the blog it being there. other than that there is no planned gain from me saying that

Reported. No need to be rude.
Your ROM is simply another ROM with added/removed APKs.
You don't need to spam this forum with a dozen of "ROM" threads, it's annoying.
Learn a bit more about Android and then try modifying sources etc.
Or if you desire, port a ROM from another device.
But don't just republish ROMs with just APKs removed or added.. That's just not useful as everybody can just download those APKs from the Market.

nice that so many people like this rom! I uploaded it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?bdujmn0ji5d4dcb to share with you and to please elelinux. He complained it causes too much traffic and i think it cost those guys money, having haevy traffic.
This rom is just great. Great battery life, stylish, fast and stable. It includes a file explorer which makes it easy to install all you akp right away, everything just works, plus some nice goodies.
So for all of you complaining about me sharing this here on XDA: I love XDA, you guys do a great job!

Hmm. Seems that the author of this rom closed down the download links, cause you posted it here on XDA. His FTP is not made for that many connections.
You should probably have asked first before posting it.

Sounded like he didn't want it here cause of limited downloads... But I don't know. He would probably tell the OP if he didn't, so
Well, I guess then OP or someone nice could upload it to multiupload or whatever to alleviate the traffic that caused blockage of the ftp And hopefully OP will take some time to clear up the first post because there are some really hard to understand passages. Anyway, will keep an eye on this one, hoping to see a download link :]

running it - VERY NICE ROM. I had to try it - worth it. I do'nt know if it's better than the other two of my current favs (froyd 1.2.X and HWMNBN 0.2) but it's right up there with them without question.
I was lucky then, I managed to download and install it, so far so good,
only I miss the dialer application in sense, I remember there is something similar for vanilla but can't just find it... someone can help me?!

or nubdialer, almost exactly the same but with fewer features (edit: ok, different features would be more fair maybe?). some people choose their product based on reasons other than features, such as license (open source), or their favorite dev.

Yes it does not have ščćđ...... fonts. You have to change the sistem font.

got my Xperiay Play since Friday.
Since I searched and found a lot of information since that day, I wondered why we dont have a propper complilation... like the ones im used to have from other devices.
Since this thread is not maintained anymore and its hard to updated it all by one person alone I thought about using the wiki wich is totaly underrated here at XDA anyway.
So I added a picture and started creating the WIKI page for our beloved device - wich didn't exist yet
Since im quite new here and I propably don't know all the things and my time is very limited atm - any help is welcome - feel free to add your favourite content and correct all the mistakes and typing mistakes I did
e.g. add the hardware specs,...
Please keep the structure clean and don't go into detail too much so it doesn't get blown...
@Mod: would be nice if this got pinned since many people really don't know and use the wiki at xda atm

All this talking I was doing about the kernel update, it was just because of a very simple thing I did not understand until today:
*** If your ROM update includes a new boot.img file, then UPDATE THE DAMN boot.img IN YOUR PHONE AGAIN, using flashtool or whatever tool you used before.

xperia play is really good but some of glu mobile games is not compatible and the screen is LCD but its great
So if I unlock the bootloader, install a ROM and then I install the stock ROM and re-lock the bootloader Sony still will know that my xPLay was once unlocked?¿
Official Method
If you unlock your bootloader using the official SE method, even if you relock it, they will always know.
I heard if you unlock it with the S1 tool method you could relock it again without any problems.

I told you man, very ugly, well you want to share something, that if, making it clear that work is another, and if possible mention. It is true that not say the job is yours, but do not say otherwise, I said, very ugly ......
Some lose much time on this, to reach someone and make a cut and paste, and neither I mentioned above or say a simple thank you ...
