Hello,
Why do some use the new v4.2 kernel and others have only problems with it?
What is the difference between Wildfire and Wildfire

now that is a tough question to answer...
I would say it's the same difference as between tomato and tomato?
Think it could be down to the radio versions. Some people that are reporting bugs could be using a different radio version to what the working ones use.
I believe it is due to the fast 4.2 is pre overclocked to the max and causes instability for some people so they have to flash 4.1 as it is not pre overclocked resulting in no bootloop for them
Ok, thanks.
But which version to use the radio on which it runs stable?
Sorry but i want understand ...
And sorry my english most time it is from google translate
If you want the latest radio look in the wildpuzzle thread they are in there and it is perfectly stable for use just flash the radio through recovery any kernel would be fine with the latest radio

lol mine doesnt boot loop, it dies.
in logcat it says
"audio flinger died"
and some 6 other "something died" and just quits.
Fair enough I haven't had experience with logcat so I don't really know just reporting from what others have said lol

I have already posted this list in Tamirda's Revolution rom thread, but I thought many of you might need it, so I posted it here as well.
Can you please post a list of stable HTC Desire ROMs???
Pick up your lazy butt and try them yourself!

Hmm. The kernel names are the same. I don't speak Spanish and I always find the kernel I want... It was the only resource of its kind so I thought it would help others. Guess I was wrong... Sorry.

I have the Ginger Villain Rom and I have low usb transfer speed.
As I read in rom's topic I can fix it by changing the Kernel to 2.6.35,
the current is [email protected] #882 and as I said the usb transfer speed is very low.
Can someone suggest me a 2.6.35, compatible, rom to load to fix it?
Thanks!

My boyfriend has an HTC Desire 4g, and it is doing the 'crazy screen' thing where it presses random keyes by itself. After some googling, I was led here where I've seen people with the same issue told to change their kernel. I have no idea what that is, or how to change it, or whick link to choose from this list. Could someone please help us with this??

This is the desire (bravo) thread, the other is a different desire so you will have to find that thread, try scanning the phone and sd card for viruses.

Is there a changelog available somewhere?
Btw, I too noticed one small issue with smartass2. Maybe it's the same as the one you found?
When playing music, I noticed a fair amount of skipping when the screen switches off. I initially thought it was the player, the dsp manager, etc. Finally, I came to the conclusion that the governor was the issue. Using CPUSpy, I found smartass2 scaled the cpu to 320MHz when playing music with the screen off. When I changed the minimum CPU speed to 400MHz, the skipping went away.
Was this the issue that you noticed or is this isolated to my phone?
Edit: Will try out your kernel and see if that issue persists. And test the kernel
Flashed the kernel. Doesn't seem to fix this particular issue. If you could somehow implement a fix for this particular issue, it woulde be great!
Will continue testing and let you know how it goes.
Just reporting, one thing I noticed is that 3 of my apps were broken after flashing the new kernel but reinstalling them brought them back to the original state.
new test kernel will be up soon i updated the cpu govenors and add a few more for users to test to see what should stay and what should be removed
quick q: will nightlys be available through rom manager update?
Accelerometer
Hi! Im testing your kernel right now, will post results later.
I have a slightly offtopic question but it's a kernel question.
I have myself a T-mobile Wildfire S wich uses a different hardware form the European Version, the only problem with it is that the accelrometer doesn't work with custom Roms (I've red Alquez said it's a kernel problem).
I wanted to ask you for any tips to star fixing it, I have programming and linux experience but I wouldn't know where to start. Any ideas?
Thanks again, keep up the good work!
does this works with any ROM or only with cm7 rom?

all redirect to a site "tat.tw".....
i am unable to download this ROM.....
so please help me
am i making a mistake somewhr??
i use adblock on my google chrome but i have tried turning that off......
please i like this sense based rom very much...
how can i download???????????????????????????
i don't know anything about wildpuzzle, but you can try RemPuzzleRom which is a remake of the wildpuzzle but it is actual with working links)
I recommend using Rempuzzle, as the original Wildpuzzle was discontinued while Rempuzzle is still actively developed (Rempuzzle is based on wildpuzzle)

hehehe mine doesn't, I'm set to 528 on rempuzzle rom and its still as fast as I've had cm7 running at 768. Sometimes faster isn't always better imo.
I totally agree with scratch, rempuzzle runs smooth as butter on 528 for me too. But yes its o/c enabled.

Don't talk rubbish. It's under development and is not fully functional. End.

Rempuzzle can't be compared to.miui at this stage since rempuzzle is awesome and is much stable than miui.

I installed RemPuzzle yesterday, and it's really great. But I didn't find how to set cpu speed. Am I missing something. I must admit, I'm far from good in android even I have phone more than a year. I changed several times ROM's but till RemPuzzle, I thaught that CM7 is best. Now, I enjoy in sense again
And one more thing, I updated to 2.42 version, and than my Root explorer is lost?
You need to install an app called SetCPU.
You can get it free here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419
Download Esfileexplorer free from market, enable root from settings and mount as writable. Just as good if not better.

I hope I can find another rom more stable?
I use Revolution HD I never found any problem.

By the way, I heard good things about Leedroid. If you have any specific problem you could post it to the thread maybe?

+1 I love ARHD ROMs because they are close to stock and I never had problems with it. Unfortunately I am waiting for S-OFF. I don't really want to unlock my bootloader yet.

What kernel were you using? These bugs seem more kernel related than rom issues.
BTW i`m running Leedroid v5.1.0 with Bricked kernel and have never experienced these bugs.
Very satisfied Leedroid user
I am using latest bricked kernel just to have sweep2unlock.
I have uninstalled some HTC apps like Note and ''messages uploader'' because I used to have ''network error...'' message nearly everytime I unlocked the screen,an app what trying to use internet all the time while I put mobile data off to preserve battery.
Now I am getting this message once a day max
Try insert coin or coredroid Rom, I never had any annoying bugs with these.

Oky, the problem was (my mistake) wrong gapps 4.2.2 instead 4.1.2. I have also problem with android keyboard crashing all the time. Gapps solved also.I've tried Shpongle, MIUI... but this is the best by far for me.In Shpongle problem was camera, in MIUI was speed, but here, everything work like swiss watch. Now I want to OC my CPU.With Shpongle 1497 Mhz was full house, but here I can't do this. Can you tell me what app to use for OC. Again, thank you for this wonderfull ROM.
