[Q] Mount EMMC with Warm Z - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to mount the internal storage (EMMC) in Windows without using Android Commander? Maybe a different workaround on the phone's side or something?
BTW, I'm using MYN's Warm Z RLS 1.
Thanks, in advance.

[Q] Best way to do apps to sd without losing anything?

Hi guys, I used to mod my old G1 all the time, never had a need to on the Desire until now, I'm running out of room every day!
I have a rooted Desire with rooted stock ROM, I'm wanting to do apps2sd old style (not the google way!)
What's the best way to go about this?
I have a 16Gb card in the phone but I don't want to lose any apps or settings I already have installed (I have backed my SD card up to my PC so I can put the 3 partitions on)
Once I have set the 3 partitions, what do I install to enable Apps2SD and where from?
any help appreciated
Anyone?
Maff, from my Tab
I'm in the same boat, in addition to what "mmace" has asked, is it actually possible to use app2sd on stock roms once rooted, and also, for those that are using apps2sd, is it possible to unmount your card and use it as a storage device on your pc, or will that screw everything up...

ADB & SetInstallLocation 2 ??? Expert Help

Hello, on my old xperia play that, like the desire, didnt have a lot of internal space either, i could use ADB and pm SetInstallLocation 2 and it installed everything to my 16gb SD card.... it worked like a dream... I didnt have any partitions on my mem card and it was not laggy at all, so can I clear all my partitions, and use the ADB command and let it install everything on my SD Card?
It's universal. Should work on all android 2.2 + devices, providing the drivers are installed. It's dead easy. There's a guide in my signature but you probably won't need it

Cheers mate, I know how to do it, at the moment using supernova, and got over a gig and a half internal memory thanks to data2sd, but using other roms, none have data2sd, and cant be bothered to apps2sd or other things....want to use the 16gb card to store stuff and try other roms out
If youre rooted, this is by far the worst solution you can implement. A2sd+ is much better. It's default in most Rom anyway, and you already have the partition. You don't even have to do anything.... its all automatic

[Q] Htc Desire internal storage problems.

Hi.
My desire will not recognize the internal storage. Root explorer shows another 202.18mb left but the software shows 15. This has been a persistent problem since CM7. I am currently running JellyNow. It's an awesome rom, but the storage space indicator is getting anoying. Is there ar eason for this? And more importantly is there a way to fix it? It has happened with every rom from Mildwild to PA 2.+.
Help? I am fairly capable at these things.
I got the phone used with CM7 on it, could it be that hidden somewhere internally?
Thanks.

For more storage, check out the partitioning guide in my sig. You will get all the space you want.
Ps.. sorry for any mistakes.. i'm a bit drunk..

You can only mount external memory.

[Q] Exploring Internal Memory

Hi all,
I've had a bit of a search that has proven to be unhelpful.
I am wondering if it is possible to explore the current internal memory of my unrooted DHD. I am willingly to root my phone to do this (allowing me to use Root Explorer or a similar program) but I would rather not lose my current internal memory. I am under the impression that rooting the phone will wipe the memory. Is it possible to root without losing internal memory? If so, could somebody push me in the simplest direction?
Phone specs are as follows:
Android version: 2.3.5
HTC Sense version: 3.0
Software number: 3.12.178.2
Thanks in advance!
TL;DR: How can a explore my current internal memory?
If you use es filemanager you can view the internal storage space without the need to root. Not sure what you hope to find its all mainly system files and apps.

I am sorry, I should have been more specific. When I go to browse /data/ (where I'd like to explore), the folder is empty.
Ok, I've done a bit more research. I'm thinking that this might be possible if I take a .abd backup. Is there a method of exploring the contents of a .abd backup from my pc? Thanks again.
Hello,
Did you find a solution to your 'internal memory' problem?
My HTC Desire HD is with low memory every day without installing anything new.
