flash one of richard's kernels that contains the audiomod, it should increase the loudness .
as for notifications like SMS , go to the menu where u chose the notification sound ,press on it , u'll get the list of notification sounds for sms,use vol+ or vol- to set it's loudness
installed Froyo Kernel [email protected] min via rom manager
phone reboot loop
any idea what went wrong
installed fresh rom and kernel all seems fine no difference to volume though
cheers

I have with the official 2.2.1 Froyo HTC Wildfire. Done with the s-off the alpharev, done root and put clockworkmod 3.0.0.6
I am interested can OC the CPU, not to change my rom.
Thanks
Sorry my English is bad
Not possible without changing to kernel that allows overclocking.
Thank you for your response, I thought it could be replaced by a kernel
No, you dont have to change rom, just flash another kernel...
Custom kernel list here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1029318
You can look at nFinity MC4 (First link in the Custom Kernel list). Flash it, and you will be able to OC the stock ROM.
Flash I nFinity MC4 and install set cpu 480(min) and 691(max), works great on stock rom
Thanks
Hey, since I'm still relatively new I am unable to post on sebastiaan15's AIO thread. My question is since upgrading from 2.5 to 3.0.4 by wiping everything and installing from scratch I am unable to use DSPManager. Whenever I open DSPManager and enable the bass mode the app FC's on me. When I open it again it immediately FC's on me again. Could anyone recommend what I should do?
I think it may be the XLoud causing conflict but I am not 100% sure. Could someone tell me how to completely remove it from the ROM?
did you flash the No_XLOUD patch? you should try it, especially if you flashed the Deodexed ROM. I'm not sure it will work on the Odexed one...
I am on the Odex ROM. However when I was on the 3.0.3 AIO CM7 r2 ADSDX ROM yesterday the problem was still there. Kinda disappointed that it does not work anymore Could you recommend any other sense ROMs that are fast with low lag?
Sent from my HTC Runnymede using XDA App
I'm really sorry to hear that. I am quite a fan of DSPManager, however I have only tested it on the Runnymede AIO 2.2... May I suggest you try the De-odexed 3.0.4 ROM? As far as I know, there is not a lot of performance to be gained in the Odexed version, while in the Deodexed version you can still use all the addons by Seebastian15. I am about to flash the deodexed one, and I will install DSP. I will keep you informed.
UPDATE: I'm using DSPManager with no problems at all. I disabled Xloud using the addon and the deodexed ROM... you should try it mate! Hope this helps.
Flash the addon noxloud. Zip, make sure You rom not the odex version.
Why not use the beats audio effective. That contain some sound effect.
Currently reverted back to 2.5.1 as I need DSPManager for the bass it provides to the Music in Poweramp.
@redsmith Could you try this version of DSPManager from the Desire CM7 as it contains the added bass settings. Please tell me if it FC's when you tick the bass button:
megaupload. com/ ?d=KJ9KG07M
@sjn01 The depth of bass by beats is nothing compared to the bass provided DSPManager. This is why I need DSPManager as it cranks out loads of bass.
(sorry, I can't post in dev threads)
After flashing Merruk Kernel 1.08 my headphones aren't detected anymore, tested with different headphones and the FM radio app. It always says that no headphone was detected. Flashing back to complete stock ROM incl. kernel fixed the problem so i guess it's because of the custom kernel. Anyone else has this problem and/or knows a fix?
did you also use a custom rom while using the kernel? Galaxy Y roms are bugged with the headphones..
No, I only changed the kernel (beside installing CWM but that shouldn't matter).
I found that there's a kernel module called bcm_headsetsw.ko in stock rom but in merruk's kernel's system files it's named bcrm_headsetsw.ko. Maybe just a typo which causes the kernel not to load it?
For those using JB/4.1 - is volume rocker seek enabled for switching songs on media players. I'd like to give the new build a try, but wouldn't want to go to the trouble if it still hasn't been enabled.
The rom i'm considering is: [ROM][GSM]Jellybean 4.1 JRN84D: Stock Rooted Busybox Deodexed - v2 (6/29/12)
Thanks for the help!
No, that is not a stock feature. It is a feature that many ROM devs add into custom ROMs. So since that ROM you linked is stock, no.
I tried this rom [ROM][22 Nov 2012] AOSP R6 Jelly Bean 4.2 JOP40C + Kernel v3.0.52 Linaro because I read that owns the volume louder fix .. and it is true! the phone volume becomes decent.
now I'm on OTA rom with root permissions. is there any way to build a patch that applies to OTA to get the volume louder fix ?
just copy the audio libraries maybe?
thanks in advance

I think he means just the modded max volume, without the added boat of beats/DSP/other included applications or settings.
