[Q] Status bar battery notification

I had to restore a backup last night and now whenever I remove it from the charger it still thinks that it is charging. Has anyone had this issue or have a way to solve this? Thanks in advance!
EDITED: Problem solved! 2nd battery pull worked. Thanks to jd1001!

Do you have to remove the battery to boot the phone up? Or is it just the battery graphic just shows up as still charging?

Just the battery graphic shows up as still charging. It doesn't seem to be affecting anything at this moment. Just annoying, but I would like to take care of it before it could cause any issues.

Are you rooted and using a rom? Or just a stock nexus?

Strange dude, you could try a different kernel. I had that issue before but it was when the phone was turned off and charging. The phones used to hang with the charging battery logo and I had to battery pull to turn the phone on again.
Once I switched kernels the problem went away. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help. I'll try another battery pull and see if that works. I'm waiting on CM9 to ROM.

Yeah CM are the business. I am using AOKP which utilizes much of CM's work. Might be worth checking it out. All the best.

one x doesn't turn on, charge, or go into recovery.

as title says. last night I was simply watching a movie when i noticed the handset was very very hot, which is weird as it wasn't doing anything too stressing, i figured id let it cooldown abit, not two seconds after the video stopped, the audio went all messed up. I turned it off manually, and it restarted all normally. it happened again, although it wasn't particularly hot, however this time I did not manually restart it, I figured id wait to see if it sorts itself out. Instead it turned off. And it refuses to power on, charge or even go into boot. No idea, what's wrong.
Running on Leedroid OneXtreme 6.4.

can you go through adb,fastboot...?responds to PC when is on USB???LED lights when is in the charger?
If not, you can not through the PC...no response then.....
Unfortunately your motherboard is dead...

absolutely nothing, no flashing led, nothing when connect to pc/laptop. no response to anything.

Got that twice with ma HOX...trust me...just plug on wall charger and leave it for a while (30mins or so) and when LED starts to flash, try to boot your device again.

This is weird but yeah I left in charge for about 12± hours, started flashing about a few mins ago and it's working perfectly. Pretty sure my phone is possessed. So yeah leave it in charge until it flashes.
Btw I'm not doing much, and it's already getting a bit warm, anything I can do to make my phone handle more? Is there a way to under clock this?

do a full wipe fastboot erase cache and re flash a rom something is doing something naughty

No idea then, motherboard may be dead if that's how unresponsive it is. If you have warranty send it off for repairs. Can you get into recovery? How about plugging it into a laptop/computer?

I had the same problem, no warranty because I unlocked it. Got it back, and found this topic.
Note: It can happen you need to try different pc/notebooks before it charges. I had to switch to 3 different pc s.

its done it again, heated up, now its completely frozen, just gonna have to go through the whole process again. the overheating issues with this phone is ****ed up.

Do not talk nonsense, do not lose the warranty if the unlocked bootloader, but this board is dead aniway , nothing can see. Send to the service and solve the problem.

First time I need help, and it's a big one and hope it a positive result.
I come from viper 2.1.0
I wiped 3 times everythnig. Installed CM10 v8. then google addons, than entered fastboot and instal boot.img than erased....
Booted into android made preliminary input. started to download files and restored my old apps from google play. Whet to settings than from settings I pulled down status bar.
HOX frozze and than I presed the power button and thas' it.
NOW it does not wake up, even if I put the power cord in no lights go ON, nothing. It's like a BRICK.
Anyone any ideas.
you guys think if I send this to reapir and play stupit that thay will now that i had unlocked bootloader

[Q] GNII doesn't wake up after sleep.

I have flashed GNII roms in the past using ODIN but this time I'm stumped at the problem.
It was just a normal flash to get 4.1.2 rom in my GNII but the cable came off in the middle but then I reflashed it again successfully and everything went well but now when my phone goes into sleep it refuses to wake up.
If the screen is off for 1 sec then it will wake up but if its for 5+ secs I need to restart my phone to get it working again. When it does go to sleep, I can call the phone but the phone doesn't respond in any way so I know the phone itself is working but doesn't display or make a ring.
One way it kind of worked was by putting typing *#7284# and selcting PDA mode as it was by MODEM by default. That seems to solve the problem as long as the usb cable is connected to the computer but as soon as I take the cable out, the phone is non-responsive once it sleeps again.
When I type *#0# and select sleep mode the phone doesnt wake if the phone is not connected to usb but wakes up if usb is connected and PDA mode is selected.
I've tried flash it a few times now with different ROMS and it seems the problem is persisting with every ROM.
What could be the problem and any solution I can try?

OMFG! It worked. I flashed root2note. Cannot believe i've been trying random stuff for the past 10 days without success but I did learn a lot though. Thank you very much guys!!

[Q] Galaxy Nexus won't turn on no matter what!!! Help

Hey guys,
My Gnex battery died yesterday, after which it wouldn't charge or turn on.
I have had this problem before and I managed to fix it by pushing the flat USB connector up gently.
I tried it, didn't work. So I left it to charge. After a few hours, I tried it again and it came on, the battery was at 100% so I unplugged it.
At the end of the day I plugged it in and it wouldn't charge so I rebooted it a couple of times, but nothing.
Then I read a couple of threads and it said to power off and restart boot loader, so I turned the phone off, but then it wouldn't start, no bootloader, no recovery nothing!
Now my phone has been off for a day, nothing is working and it totally sucks, I need my phone for everything. PLEASE HELP!!!

Have ypu tried to pull out the battery and let it be for a moment? Then put the battery back in and it may be working. Maybe try a friends battery or charger to see if that works. If youve read everywhere and tried everything and nothing works I think the only option is an omap flash.

a. what does it do
b. when is it meant to be used
c. and how do you use it
so everything basically.

I really dont know myself because I never had to use it but I know it saves your phone if everything fails and you dont need a battery. I found more information and a tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1925468
I recommend to read the whole thread to see if you have the same problems.

My old galaxy nexus was also not booting after being in a box for about 4 years, it was showing 100% charged and nothing more
I tried the OMAP4460 drivers, but since windows 10 does not normally allow unsigned drivers I was stuck.
What worked for me:
Charge it for 16 hours
Press the power button hard, as light pressure was not doing anything.
Now I just need to install a new ROM as google keyboard inst working on this 10.1 OMNI ROM preventing device setup.

You could try this flashable keyboard first rather than flashing the entire ROM just for the keyboard

My galaxy nexus won't charge but does get connected to the computer! It gets recognized and file transfer is also possible.For some apparent reason the phone shows its on ac but the battery seems to be draining!!!??

Have you tried flashing a different kernel( if its custom of course), or perhaps reflashing the rom entirely? if neither of those work and a different cable\charger doesn't work, it could be the battery. How old is the battery?

Most of the times you can fix these type of errors just shutting down your phone, unplugging the battery and let it down for a while (one minute or more is enough). If not, just try what @matinm90 said before me. I don't think format a new ROM is the simplest way to solve the problem tough.

yeah technically flashing a new rom or the same one but fresh may not help, but hopefully it would narrow things down lol

Thanks for your help guys I tried a different kernel(franko), a different rom(miui) in which the battery indicator says its charging but battery is still discharging!! I don't think its a battery problem since it charges to a 100% using my friends nexus.

And if you try to go back to stock via fastboot? If that doesnt help I think your USB port is broken..
