Hello, I am new to the forum and I've researched all possible angles of this so do not flame me for making a new thread please!
I live in Argentina, I have a HTC Aria A6366 locked to AT&T, my parents live in Maryland and have AT&T and I've tried to go through them to unlock my phone but they denied me quicker than John Wall v Kobe/Fisher! I also tried HTC and they told me I had to talk to AT&T, so I went on countless third party unlock websites and NONE can find my unlock code, I've tried two or three ebay sellers and they still can't find my unlock code, so question, what can I do? I've had the phone since the beginning of feb. and I can't unlock it, is there a way to unlock it through software?
Thanks in Advance

I will be travelling to europe and i would like to unlock my HTC Touch pro 2 to be able to use it with the local provider (the price of using the Telus simcard is enormous !!!)

I know that such unlocking software exists, and i allready used one of the websites (i can't remember the name) where you give your IMEI and someone reply to you with the appropriate unlock code for your particular device
I don't know if it is feasible with the htc touch pro 2 ????
Could somebody help me
Thanks in advance !
Unlocked TP2
I have unlocked mine successfully and if you search PPCGeeks there are several threads there discussing it. I tested mine with a friends SIM from Rogers and it worked like a charm. I bought my unlock code from glowbearunlocks4u on eBay for $13.00 US, so check there.
Here is my question. Can you still use your TELUS number once you unlock the phone.
I tried to put the telus sim into a unlocked phone and it didnt work so (Bummer)... I want to use the GSM but still want the CDMA... very important in my situation...
let me know thanks.

PM me the IMEI no.
be carefull handing our your IMEI as people can clone your phone. Use cellunlock.net or check out ebay. make sure they have 98% or higher rating.
Exactly go on eBay and get it unlocked by a pro.
Otherwise you are opening a can of worms for yourself...
Hi guys, new here, great community. I did search for this, but could not find what I was after..
I have a new HTC Desire S. S-ON unfortunately. I am traveling Asia in 3 weeks and don't want to be using my UK T-mobile SIM whilst abroad. What I do want, is to buy a SIM card over there and use it. So I have to unlock this phone somehow.
Called T-Mobile, they said they will happily do it for 15 pounds, but it takes 28 days for the code to come back from HTC, this is too long for me as I leave in just 21 days.
I read about sieempi's unlock tool which looks amazing, but seems to be suited just for the Desire, not the Desire S. Has anyone had any luck using the tool with the Desire S?
Also, online it appears you can pay for an unlock code, about 30 pounds or so, you send them your IMEI number and network and they generate you an unlock code. Firstly, does this method reliably work? And secondly, if 3rd party websites have access to a method, does anyone else for free?
Warmest regards all, hope for some good responses!
DJS.
You can try to post this in the Desire S sub-forum, to get more responses.
BTW, no idea about your problem.
Try posting in Desire S forum. Anyway I have used a website in getting an unlock code and it worked for me no problem. Cost me £20 ish.

Hmm...maybe a codes the way then?
There might be a website that does it for free but it will take longer about a day or two. I know there is for blackberry not sure about htc. But yea most websites are fine
No idea about free but you will get a code and not have to send off your phone. I couldn't find a free site for the Desire.

Hey guys,
Sorry if this question has been asked over and over already. I tried searching but cant seem to find a definite answer.
Is there a way to SIM Unlock the TELUS SGH-T989D? I already tried the unlockers on the market, including the ones that need Root, but they arent working.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks in advance.
PS. For Telus S2X owners, how did you sim unlock your phone? (which website did you use to get unlock code)
i know that the t-mobile version which i think is in the same boat, needs an unlock code that you have to get from your carrier or a website. I used a unlocked website cellunlock.net and use the discount code android50.
i also did my research and this was the only answer i could find
Obviously you simply need a unlocking code to unlock this phone. I unlocked it on the spot from a phone store that was not from telus but all he did was that he made a phone call to request for a code.
AT&T skyrocket phone users have trouble unlocking their phones because AT&T claims that their phones are specifically designed for their carrier only which I think is probably untrue.
Anyway, I did unlock my LG G2X using a site called unlockthatphone.com at $15. Try that site. Also, I think it is a good idea to call Telus as well directly.
Pickup the phone dial 611. Ask t-mobile.. Tell them your going somewhere outside the country and you need unlock code.. It should arrive 3 to 7 days in your email you give them.

Thanks guys. I just went ahead and got the unlock code from a website for $20.
Hi people.
Just bought myself a HTC One X locked onto T-Mobile network.
I want to use it on Orange UK.
Anyone know if the SIM unlock codes are available?
Every site I go to advise me that the codes aren't available yet.
Is there another way of being able to use my orange SIM with the HTC One X?
Thanks
There are people selling the codes on Ebay, and there is a Tread (closed though) of people who have successfully used these services: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613613&highlight=unlock+code
Check ebay though as they are some for as cheap as £4.
Nice one gaiden, I'll give it a go.
Thanks for help.
A novice like me needs all that I can get!!
Aaaah, just realised why I'm struggling. Apparently the phone has to be at least one month old for IMEI to be registered on server. That means the waiting game......
Cant you just phone tMobile and ask them for a subsidy pin ?
ermmm tmobile and orange are the same company.... is the card being rejected out right?, i can switch between orange and tmobile with no problems with my tmobile card, and my wife has a locked wildfire s to tmobile that happily runs a orange card.
Yeah tmo and orange are now the same network. You shouldnt need to unlock for this.

That is the exact reason why I bought the phone, thinking Orange & T-Mobile have merged into one.
The thing is they share their network coverage but they are still two seperate companies. This was confirmed by Orange UK. And T-Mobile won't deal with me because I don't have an account with them.
So I need to find someone who does have one, or set one up (which I don't want to do).
All the official HTC Unlock sites don't seem to have code available and give me a refund straight away. I'm going to try a couple from EBay this morning to see if they're any better.

T-Mobile will only unlock a handset that is registered to the account. I.e purchased with the number at the same time, as imei's are linked.

What method did you try ?
the ebay unlocking method worked fine for my t-mobile phone,
Unlock codes!?
Am I missing something,
If you flash an RUU rom surely that will unlock it?
I presume using Ebay Unlocking techniques also risk voiding warrenty?

Flashing a custom ROM does NOT SIM unlock the phone. Unlike unlocking/rooting, SIM unlocking does not void your warranty.
I've used HTC SIM Unlock before and they always been to work. They have a money back guarantee as well. Never trust those unlockers on eBay. I've been scammed too many times. http://www.htcsimunlock.com/#oid=1096_1
Your other option could be to get a PAYG sim card and call them from that. They might unlock it for you as you would have an account with them then?
I never thought of that, ie, getting a PAYG SIM card. Should have done that! Anyways, after many unsuccessful attempts in getting the phone unlocked (the number of refunds I got on my Paypal, I had numerous security checks on my card!), I eventually got hold of the person I bought the phone off. He's kindly got in touch with T-Mobile UK, and for £15-32, they'll unlock it for me. It will take between 10-28 days, so I'm expecting it to come through some time this week at the earliest. I know it may be dear, but I also know they will be able to unlock it, as its their network.
Anyways, thanks for all the help guys!
I just unlocked my one x at unlockcode4u.com and as I made a video they just refunded me, so eventually I didnt pay anything.
My HTC one X is the best phone ever
