I have a really big problem with my desire:
I have updated nearly every NeoPhyte since Froyo. Worked always without problems.
Yesterday I want to update to NeoPhyte 8.2. I only flashed 8.2 Image but no new radio and diddn't Wipe all. It flashed successful, but restart (HTC Logo) doesn't disappear after restart. I took out the battery after 30 minutes.
After this I had to use USB (recovery-windows.bat) to enter green menu. I did a Wipe Factory reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik. But my desire won't start.
So I tried flash my old image 8.1.4 again with wipe all. But nearly the same result. It hangs not on HTC screen but on this Nexus 4 color animation.
After this I tried to flash newest radio Radio-32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2 and NeoPhyte 8.2. Not successful, desire hangs in HTC screen about 30 minutes.
Please can anyone help me? Is my desire dead or is it possible to make it run again?

you use an old method to root
it might be of benefit to run an ruu from your network to return the device to stock then re root it
if wiping data and reflashing does not work then you have so other problem
solution found!!

Hello!
Apparently I broke my latest rom, MIUI ICS alpha 2.5 with recovering applications and system data from Titanum Backup. After suggested reboot, there was a loading screen going on forever, so i wanted to wipe & install or go back to previous rom. I removed the battery, as it was only way to shut down the phone.
Booted up to CWM with "+" key, and after a few seconds it's just turning off. I can select some options but it keeps turning off.
It did it during "format data", which wasnt finished, it did also shut down just after finishing formatting cache. About the same amont of time.
CWM version: 5.0.2.7
I have my backup rom and also new one, but cannot install any of them 'cause it keeps shutting down. And yes, the phone is connected to the charger, so it's not a problem of low battery.
Any ideas, please?
[EDIT] [SOLVED] Just rebooted with adb. It's ok now
Well for 1 don't restore system data. 2 pls explain what you mean by turning off as you mentioned you can access certain things. Is it powering off as in completely off? Are you pressing the power button on clockwork recovery? If so that makes screen blank not power off

no, it just turned off my phone completely even if i was just switching options, suddenly "poof"
Run superwipe and reflash rom. If that fixes it flash the backup uf whatever you like fhat you didn't restore "system data" for.

Hello to everyone
I face s serious problem, with Runny Rom 7.0 beta.
The phone used to work until previous night. Suddenly, today in the morning i found the phone switched off, when I tried to turn it on the phone freezed at the HTC logo screen. Tried 4 times, but nothing!!
I cleared dalvik cache, nothing.
I installed Runny Rom ver. 6.1.1, cause it is more stable, but nothing!!!
The phone keeps freezing at the startup screen with the HTC logo. I have already waited from > 30 minutes so it cannot be CPU work load.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
in recovery, wipe/factory reset
wipe cache
wipe dalvik
format all partitions except sdcard
and try reinstall it.
make sure u have the correct hboot and have an ext4 partition on ur sdcard

Froze at bootscreen
Hi can you help me with this, I installed a theme that required me to reboot phone for the font to take effect, now I am stuck at bootscreen...
I am running MIUI, ICS version...
HTC DESIRE phone...
Im ignorant to all this...help me please..
So I have a rooted HTC desire HD with Jellytime on it. All was working great till recently when it would shut down by itself. Today after I wanted to test a new boot screen from Rom toolkit I restarted it and while the boot screen worked great after it finished I see a black screen (backlit so I know its on). I tried going to the bootloader but after I try to go to wipe cache for example it restarts by itself and it gets stuck after the boot screen... Any ideas?
ok an update seems that if I go to the recovery via down button and power it lets me do actions. All this time I went to recovery mode when phone was shut down and plugged into a power source. I did a wipe cache and now it says android is upgrading and now it finished saying starting apps. Hope it didnt get stuck there because it keeps doin the cycle animation but doesn't do anything else.. I ll leave it be for a bit like this... :/ Had to restart it by removing the battery after 20 minutes... same problem as before still...
another update... just before it goes to a black screen when the boot screen finishes an orange light appears just briefly (where the green light appears when it charges)

I flashed the rom again and wiped data and all seem to be ok now. I ll update this because I saw many people have similar problems... thanks in advance for any help!
Have the same problem.
I bought this with the problem that it keeps rebooting all the time.
I unlock the bootloader with htcdev, root with Easy Ace Tool, flashed the new cyanogenmod 11,
but did the same .
At least 3-4 rebooting before open normally.
I said that it must be ROM issue and flashed the KK-LegacyCarbon-4.4.
Did the things should be...flash the ROM and then the boo.img separately.
Now i have black screen and the only screen i am able to get is bootloader and the recovery 4EXT.
I reflased cyanogenmod back but nothing happened, any thoughts???
My htc one gets randomly stuck on Splash Screen at times . this time i was calibrating the battery where i needed to press power button+ volume UP and Down simultaneously because i was fed up with slow charging of the phone.
However after this , it got stuck at "HTC One powered by android" screen. My only way out is somehow going to recovery by pressing volume UP+ Power and when phone starts immediately sliding my finger to volume down so that it goes into bootloader and there i wipe cache and dalvik cache.
And then this problems returns again on next reboot.
it is temporarily solved when i restore a backup or flash new rom but randomly on reboot gets stuck there.
So the question is - Is there a way to avoid it getting stuck there on that screen ? because wiping cache and dalvik cache everytime to boot is no fun
Using TWRP 2.8.6.0
it is T-mobile model on which i have flashed Insertcoin ROM.(Happened on Viper ROM once too but then i restored a nandroid)
